People who are fans of the show are divided in my mind in 2: those who see deep connections, and those who regard the show as well made, but not special.
One sees what one sees. I am not the only one. https://www.amazon.com/Unpacking-Blacklist-Season-1-Interpreted/dp/1545412685
Symbols are used in the show, in a consistent way, the way I see it. Why music for grief? I do not know, I only know I started noting musical instruments, made a list and observed that characters associated with them had experienced grief.
So, I observed that in the Summer palace when Liz is a baby, there is a viola in her room. So, who was lost? not her, the instrument is there when Liz is there. Thus, I think is a way of signaling a loss.
What we have a link to, is that although RR's DNA was not in the system, a match was made. Likely this match is though Jennifer. So, Jennifer's father DNA was provided. Now, IF the DNA came from a tooth and the tooth always belonged to the skeleton, then what we know is that Jennifer's father is the skeleton, buried under a tree with a carved "K". We have a Ilya Koslov in the story.
