Hey there !

I went to ikea and bought the same setup, a few points to keep in mind :

  • I lost ~2cm of printing bed surface as the bed is hitting the glass
  • I added a smoke detector, don't want no fire in here (I already melted the heatbed wire)
  • I added a power socket to make things clean, it's not hard and add a fuse
  • I drilled a hole on top of the filament to get in, added a filter to keep wood from getting everywhere with friction
  • Added a fan and filter to get air out, I will probably make it's speed depend on the temperature but I would like to not buy another "controller"
  • Added some leds, I am trying to get them to change color depending on the finished % (if anyone have any idea)
  • Finally added my Raspberry Pi and camera, it was long due...
  • I will add magnets to the door, because my cat is trying to get inside
  • I need to find a way to get my screen out of here but cables are too short
  • I will check the power supply temp and generally all electronics temp, heat will probably be a problem
  • Bought some mirror, and will try to cut them to size to replace my glass bed (never done that)

I have to thank you, because I did more in one weekend because of your post than I did since I have my printer.

I also bought a small table and now have my Cutter, Printer, laser graver and laminator organized, managed to clean my ejuice collection and organized it.

I now have to add a whiteboard sticker somewhere to keep a track of all my projects, will probably make it into a polargraph so I do not have to write myself (I'm a lazy ass bitch)

I would recommend mounting one of these instead.

It's an extra fuse and a power switch.

I wired one of those with no experience whatsoever just following guides.

I bought this and it worked well for my build.x
