> For example, I wanted to purchase those reusable food wraps that replace cling wrap, but they're coated with beeswax.

There are soy wax versions!

> I currently just use a LOT of containers in my fridge for small individual items.

I agree it's a bit annoying for the fridge to be full of containers, but on the plus side, this means your foods are nicely sealed away, preventing gross fridge smell and moisture buildup. I only use the wax wraps when I can't fit the item into a container.

> Another example is floss. At this no waste store, they carry an alternative to plastic (?) floss from the pharmacy. It's made from spider silk. Like, what?! It's not plastic but... I wouldn't say spider silk is vegan. But I need floss. I'm not sure what to do here.

There are lots of other options! https://www.amazon.com/Vegan-Dental-Floss-Refill-TEVRA/dp/B07F63BD8M is one.

Aside from medical things, I think it's pretty doable to do vegan zero waste without difficult choices. It is super annoying to have to thoroughly research everything, though.

There's silk floss that usually comes in a refillable glass dispenser or if you're vegan they make a bamboo charcoal version and a (supposedly) biodegradable one made of corn.

Then a lower waste option is this German brand Doctors Floss that has a refillable metal dispenser or the Eco-Dent cardboard dispenser. Their floss is still nylon unfortunately which is why it's cheaper and comes with a lot more floss than the options above.
