Ok, try this.

Put them inside a bottle with cotton, so they don't rattle, and use velcro

and cut them both down to a size that will fit the bottle and support it, and then put one side of the velcro on to the back of a drawer of a desk, nightstand, or dresser.

I use this to hide shit all the time, it's a great spot, you have to fully take the drawer out in-order to get access, and nobody will be randomly pulling your drawers completely out.

Here's a picture of mine (yes i know the bottle is scuffed af)

I don't use cotton, so instead I use a bottle of supplement pills in the same drawer to explain if someone where to slam the drawer and cause a pill sound.

Edit: glad everyone likes it, lol.

Just wanted to say that this mod is essential for any Quest owner. I found the headset to be unbearable no matter how much I adjusted the straps there was just too much pressure on my forehead and cheeks. Decided to give the counterweight mod a try and it is definitely a game changer. There is no more pressure on the face and I can wear the headset for hours now with no discomfort.

If you find the headset uncomfortable then you owe it to yourself to try this mod.

Edit: Here are the links to the velcro I used and the power bank.

Sorry Velcro, but it's a tough thing to ask for especially when your packaging doesn't even say hook and loop.

https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-Sticky-Strips-Black/dp/B000TGSPV6

Interestingly enough Amazon does organize the product in their database within hook and loop fasteners. Probably thanks to Velcro lawyers....

None of it really matters anyway, it turns out the Vulcans just sold the idea to some patent buyer to get a poor kid into college.

it will help a bit if you attach a heel cup https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4OZ94W

with velcro strips
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TGSPV6

to act as a wedge.

Did you get the claw attachment?

Does pulling your belt higher help?

Otherwise try to wear shirts like plaid button ups that will hide it perfectly

u/rhymeswithdeath · 4 pointsr/WTT_graduates

I definitely think that sounds reasonable.

I have an s2, I mostly pump at the office too. I’ve seen a hack where you can use Velcro strips and this lithium battery to make the s2 portable - but I haven’t tried that myself. I did buy a car adapter which Ive used once when my mom watched the baby while we went on a date.

Ouch... Super glue or buy some real "Velcro Brand" velcro to replace it... I use a lot of it for my Quadcopters and it holds up like a champ.

I use sticky velcro tape to attach things to my dash. Never had it come loose.

u/AtypicalExistence · 2 pointsr/oculus

Well, at least if support won't help you, it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. You could get some velcro strips for a few bucks off Amazon:

Really nice setup. Looks very comfy and efficient.
The only thing slightly bothering me, is the wrinkles in the poster. Fix it please!

Have you considered getting a bit of Velcro tape for the remotes and putting it under the desk or in a drawer?

The girl looks cute too, btw :)

I made my own Bastard box that works for 4x5 and 5x7. Here's a list of materials:

  • 32-gallon fold-a-tote: The actual box part

  • Sacrificial film changing bag: For the armholes

  • Rosco #19 Fire gel: For darkbox window(s)* Light safe indoors but outside you'll need to cover your head and box with a shroud of some sort to be safe. For the side windows I cut I used Rubylith sheets. You can't see through them so they only work on the sides but they are completely daylight safe.

  • Tray stand: For setting the box on to work

  • LED Headlamp: Has a darkroom safe red LED to illuminate inside

  • Kitchen timer: for timing plate sensitivity. Fits handily into the transparent side pocket on the box.

  • Portfolio: For toting the flattened darkbox around in.

The box is made of thick cardboard so it's easy to cut through with a knife or razorblade. After cutting I taped the edges with black gaffer's tape to make it look cleaner and to prevent any particles from falling into the working area. I cut one big window in the top (for the Rosco gel) and one on each panel in the back (for the Rubylith).

For the armholes I left the cuts rough so I could use a high strength glue to adhere the arms I cut off of the film changing bag. I glued them to the cardboard under the nylon fabric of the box. After that had dried I taped around the edges so it looked cleaner and provided a little better seal.

For the illumination inside, I took the strap off the LED headlamp and stuck some velcro squares to the back of it and to the inside of the box. This holds the light perfectly and still allows the headlamp to tilt up and down for the perfect angle.

The only other thing I do is tear up thick magazine pages and lay them down on the inside along with something like a puppy pad or some paper towels to catch any drips.

Here is an imgur album with some sample images.

Some wall mounts will cause connection problems with the Stick. I had one that completely blocked it, no signal at all. Get and HDMI extender and get it out from behind the TV, even if you just move it to the top. Maybe some velcro tape so you can remove it.

Live Sports are the worst when it comes to "free streams" most are SD at best and do exactly what you described. There are paid services that will offer quality HD streams with no buffering. I want to say $10 a month. Even Mobdro, which is reliable, is mostly SD.

I also recommend you start to learn a bit about how it works, overtime it will require some maintenance. I set mine to do an auto clean at launch, I do setups for friends and family. Before I set it to do this I'd get Stick returned to me for an update that had 2gig of storage used. When I did the install it only took up 170Mb.

I also ditched the ergo insert. I wanted it to work out, but it simply doesn't work with my face. I will say that the liner on the rift is a significant upgrade. Just feels like I spent a little too much $$ for just the insert. But you can't try this stuff on first when ordering online, so it's a risk for sure. I'm happy I took it because my rift is much more comfortable. Just feel like I overpaid a tad.

You should be able to find velcro at any craft store or even some rite aid type stores. This might do it: http://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-Sticky-Strips-Black/dp/B000TGSPV6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425343261&sr=8-1&keywords=velcro

Good ole velcro strips?

u/orwhaleca · 1 pointr/buildapc

Linus actually used Velcro, and I suggest you do the same, so that you can easily remove the drive if necessary.

u/ninjaman999 · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Hey OP, did you buy that velcro from Amazon or a local store? Cause I cant seem to determine the type (the recommended 3M) of velcro that is available for purchase from amazon. The one that seems the most plausible is this one but I would hope you could confirm this for me. Thank you OP <3 https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-Sticky-Strips-Black/dp/B000TGSPV6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491347274&sr=8-1&keywords=Velcro+Strip#Ask

u/thesbros · 1 pointr/Vive

It's pretty easy to put it on the Vive. I just got these Velcro straps. One goes on the back of the Leap Motion, one goes on to the center of the Vive where there is no lighthouse receivers.

Make sure to wait an hour or two to let the adhesive stick better. Put the leap motion on with the USB port facing left (from the front of the headset), then use the smaller cord to plug it in to the USB extension port inside of the headset.

Note that if you use the USB port on the headset, the Leap Motion will break if you do something that uses the camera (e.g. room view/tron mode), because there's not enough bandwidth.

I mean, can't they change their company name? I guess its probably not cheap, but then this is a problem literally because they have been too successful in their marketing

edit: Maybe I'm wrong, not an expert, but it seems to me they are in this predicament because they advertised their products as Velcro, not Velcro hook and loop.

None of them list hook and loop anywhere, though to their credit they do list Velcro BRAND very clearly. And one of them does mention the product type as fastener. They should start advertising and packaging them as Velco brand hook and loop fasteners. That way if someone challenges their trademark in court, they can point out that every single one of their product's promotional material clearly separates the product from the company - right now, that's not clear in their own marketing (outside this video of course).
