[12dpo] Not a whole lot to report. AF is due Sunday so we'll see what happens. I finally started symptom spotting a little with the main symptom being...bacne. I have been breaking out all over my shoulders and lower back and it's driving me crazy. My shoulders are painful and it even hurts to lay down. I usually break out before AF, but only ever on my face. fingers crossed
Also, I decided on a thermometer and got this one from Amazon. It should be delivered today but knowing my luck AF will arrive before I get a chance to use it.

Nothing fancy but it does the trick. I've got 2 (forgot to take the first with me while traveling!) so I liked it enough to buy it a second time. I don't compare temperatures between thermometers - they are all calibrated slightly differently and for the purpose of charting, absolute temperature doesn't matter, just seeing a change in temperature. I also don't worry about small fluctuations with temperatures taken right after each other - as you wake up you get warmer pretty quickly.
If you don't like taking your temperature, perhaps Creighton or Billings would be a better fit? Both are highly effective and don't involve charting temperature.
Edit: A few more thoughts - alcohol the night before and electric blankets can effect temperature. Temps being erratic can also reflect fluctuating hormones - it's fairly common for pre-menopausal and postpartum/breastfeeding women to see more fluctuation. Does any of this apply?
