There are quite a few options on Amazon (and more on eBay, where the styles and perhaps quality are even more varied). Three mats that have no text/logo on the front and Prime shipping include:

  • Vipamz - 36"x12"x0.12" - black stitching - $11.99

  • OPCC - 23.6"11.8"0.12" - red or blue stitching - $8.77

  • GGing 36"x18"x0.12"- Maroon pad with black stitching - $17.99 - I got this in purple for a friend who's quite happy with it.

If you want to go full-desk, there's one with two folding phone/tablet stands built-in. It measures 34" x 23"x0.13" for only $18.99 (non-Prime free shipping):
    Jelly Comb

I've seen some on eBay that go up to a meter / 40" across, though most ship from China, which can take significantly longer and there is probably no returning it if it's not to your liking.

.012-0.13" or 3mm seems to be the default thickness, though you can find heavy mouse pads that run 5-6mm thick. It doesn't change the surface, and flat on a desk, neither thickness should bunch-up on you.

Stitching around the edge prevents the cloth surface from peeling, which may or may not happen without it. It sometimes depends on how it's made, but whether your wrist rubs over the edge can also make a difference (stitching does make the edge thicker, though, so if that is the case, a stitched edge may be more annoying than the plain one).

Theres also this one if you're interested in an extra 6 inches. Also no logo.

I give you a couple of great guides to help you build the PC.
Lastly, I will give a rationale for my part selection.

    Guides

    ---

Now before you have a look at all these guides. The best guide in most cases will always be your MANUAL. Some manuals are garbage, but most of them are more than good enough to be able to help figure out most problems.

  • How to build an Intel 115x socket PC?
This is my personal favorite because it goes in depth, but still keeps the video relatively short.
It also got great camera work so you are able to follow all the steps very well.
I would suggest to install the aftermarket CPU cooler right away, then you don't have to clean the thermal paste.
I decided to skip the start of the video. The reason being that the video is posted on 17th of May 2013, he gives the rationale of his selected parts at the start. This is a very long time ago, so the parts are very old, so no need to hear this out. But building a PC is still pretty much the same. No drastic changes.
There are a lot of different build guides on the internet, but I really like this one. It's easy to follow.

  • How to install a 115x CPU?
Very simple and easy to follow guide again.
  • How to install thermal compound?
The temperature difference between the best and the "worst" thermal compound is a couple degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between applying thermal compound one way or an other.. is 0 degrees.
Be careful though! The only way that the temperature will rise is when you don't put enough. So it needs to have enough, but too much can cause problems as well. So don't go overkill either!
Thermal compound helps with the contact of the cooler + the CPU. They both have microscopically small gaps, which the thermal compound fills up to let the heat get too the heatsink.
  • How to install Windows 10 from an USB drive?
You have to download "media creation tool" which is located at the bottom of the page (blue button). Run that program with a 4GB+ USB flash drive plugged into a PC. Then follow the simple steps and the program will make the USB drive bootable. After that all you have to do is build the PC and boot from that USB drive to install Windows.
  • How to set up your SSD & HDD?
This video is another older video, but it works pretty much the same in Win 8/10.
  • How to use Ninite?
This video explains it very well, as well as their recommendations. For security I advise to only get Avira (if you don't mind to get an add every day; if you do mind - just use Microsoft Defender) & Malwarebytes. If you want to pay for an anti-virus; Webroot! Light weight; very high detection rate.

    ---

My rationale for the chosen products:

    ---

    CPU:

  • Intel Skylake quad-core, locked (non overclockable) CPU clocked at 3,2GHz with a turbo boost up to 3,6GHz.
The big debate about i5 vs i7. For gaming purpose, it does not matter much at all. There are a few exceptions for certain games, but even in the games where the i7 does perform better. It only does so with a slight margin. Making it, in my mind - not worth it.
Also overclocking means, running the CPU at a faster speed. Which means it can calculate everything faster. This is again not a huge point of interest for most games. The CPU is not a bottleneck in most cases. So this is why I suggest a locked i5.
    Source

    CPU Cooler:

  • Review
Easy to install, silent enough, more than capable CPU cooler. That's all I ask.

Sorry, I fell asleep (4:34 AM here atm). I will finish this tomorrow!

Hope you like it and If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I agree on getting a plant to replace the lamp (if the lamp is not used much) and an extended wide mouse pad like this one. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0199GE7RC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1465782602&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=large+mouse+mat&dpPl=1&dpID=41yzOjBDI-L&ref=plSrch

However if you want to spend all $100 on one item (this is definitely my recommendation), I would get a mechanical keyboard. There are plenty of options for $100 or less.

Check out /r/mechanicalkeyboards & /r/mechmarket

Cheers!

It is a very slick cloth mouse pad so if u play precision shooters like csgo its not the best

the grip on the table is ok could be better but for general use it is ok but if u play lots of cs and are competitive i suggest qck+ from steel series

overall for the money not bad though

u/alclarity · 4 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

If you need something smaller, you can find the PECHAM Gaming Mouse Pad on amazon.ca at 31in x 12in. I've used it for almost two years. It costs $17 and only has its brand on one corner of the mat. Spec wise its identical to the Corsair one, just not as long.

If you need a 36in x 12in pad and don't want any logos or brand, there is the Vipamz Extended Xxxl also on Amazon for $17.

Both of these are machine washable and have stitched 'anti-fray' edges

u/DiabolusMiles · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0199GE7RC camel says this is the average price for the pad as well. So while arguably $0.08 is a negligible amount, it is still cheaper normally than your sale price. Also I did check it says it's 4mm thick.

u/Passan · 2 pointsr/toledo

I know you specifically mentioned a brick and mortar store but I bought this one off of amazon for $12. Might help someone else looking for one.

Just a cheap xl mousepad off amazon

u/SoupNBread · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

Legitimate question, what would these mousepads have over anything large you can nab on amazon? I picked up this one over a year ago and haven't had any issues. Cleans fine and has held up, so is there something specific about these that would make it worth picking up?

u/mbuckbee · 2 pointsr/podcastgear

This is a cool idea, mouse pad material is pretty cheap and you could probably cover the entire table with it for less than $50. That would take care of people bumping their elbows and drumming their fingers as well.

u/Argent99 · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

since you seem to be limited to amazon.it, i took a look around to see if the mouse mats i usually recommend (the glorious xxl, reflex labs - the one i currently use and highly recommend - and one from kupx, which i got for my wife and she totally adores), but no dice on any of them.

but!

a friend of mine uses the vipamz xxxl and says it's great for the price -- and amazon.it does have it for 15 euros. maybe it'll work for ya, but again, this is just based on a recommendation from a friend. i can personally vouch for the glorious and reflex labs mats, both of which are just great. i prefer the latter because it's a bit thicker than the glorious, but that's just personal preference.

anyway, link to the vipamz: https://www.amazon.it/portatile-antiscivolo-strutturato-controllo-precisione/dp/B0199GE7RC

Glorious Mousepad https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/glorious-extended-11x36-stealth-edition

Coolermaster MP510 http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Lines/pads/

Steelseries Qck Edge Extended https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads (Stiched edge version for durability)

Logitech G840 https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g840-cloth-xl-gaming-mouse-pad.html (This one has no stiched edging so if you want the best durability maybe not this one it's very overpriced aswell imo but good pad for FPS very little friction)

They also have alot of non-branded or no name company extended ones on Amazon which are well priced that'll serve just fine for example https://www.amazon.com/Vipamz-Extended-Non-Slip-Rubber-Textured/dp/B0199GE7RC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1543414062&sr=8-8&keywords=extended+mousepad

u/Dr__Venture · 1 pointr/gaming

Yeah absolutely, as far as finding a mousepad with no logo I'm sure you can find a non-brandname mousepad on amazon or the like. I would suggest browsing amazon and using the QCK XXL sizing as a template for what to look for.

In a quick amazon search I managed to find this mouse pad.

https://www.amazon.com/Vipamz-Extended-Non-slip-Rubber-Textured/dp/B0199GE7RC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1486497804&sr=8-4&keywords=black+mouse+pad+extended

It has good reviews, but since I have never used it in person I obviously can't give it a personal recomendation. I will note thought that it will fit the Blackwidow Chroma as well as a mouse (it is about the same size as Steelseries QCK XXL).

Its a XXL Large deskmat, but they ship it in a sleeve that will perfectly fit the MagicForce68. I know this because I bought that deskmat and the sleeve its shipped in is just a light gray and says VIPAMZ in bold white letters. Draw string, its really not bad. And the keyboard fits perfectly in it, slightly snug though. Other customers are really like $30+, this was just something free I did.
