I use this for a similar set up, mine has two identical screens. Had to order an extra swing arm though.

Still getting used to it, but it is better than I anticipated. Had a 28" 4K monitor on the left first, didn't like all the turning.
This is more natural.

I have a similar setup and I used this tall desk mounting arm for the top monitor. Works great for me.

I just flipped the left monitor vertical yesterday and I'm so in love with this set up.

I use this one for my second screen:

It’s a taller mount so I can be placed above my main monitor which just sits on the desk on its default mount.

I use this desk clamp VESA mount from Amazon.
Sturdy enough to hold a 20lb Dell U3011 on top. There are also versions with two arms.

u/Kjarahz · 2 pointsr/ultrawidemasterrace

Here is the Vivo setup from Amazon I use, note it doesn't say it supports a 34" but I've been using my 34" on it for a very long time. It supports it just fine in terms of fitment and weight.

Long arm, and this is the short arm.

Here is my setup and another.

I always mount dual monitors one over the other using this desk clamp for the lower (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N383A42/ref=ox_sc_act_title_14?smid=A1Q5TXAPOS7WLS&psc=1)
and this one for the higher (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0155LJATK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_22?smid=A3W3STWCK1O3NR&psc=1)
The bottom mount isn't needed But i like the symmetry

Would something like this work for you? I just picked this up for my 34" uw to sit over my 27". Works perfect

I bought this tall vivo single monitor mount. Instead of mounting it to a desk, I got a 1/2in plate of aluminum that's about 20x20in and drilled a hole in one of the corner and replaced with a bolt for straight through standing mount.Like a floor standing lamp. With the my 27in monitor, it's about eye level when i'm sitting up on my bed. The arm is only 15.5in so it's doesn't extend as long as in your drawing. If you set it up right next to the bed, then it should overhang 25inches from pole to edge of a 27in screen. I'm thinking of fabricating extra arms length so I can have it hang further out like your drawing.

u/cmiles777 · 2 pointsr/hackintosh

Sorry for the late response. For stands I've always used VIVO whether standalone or desk mount, they make great products.

u/sonsofaureus · 2 pointsr/AskBattlestations

This tall pole mount is much cheaper at $99, but doesn't have the full motion (up and down movement requires wrenching) and it's a 4 monitor mount - just leave one of the upper ones empty.

Triple full motion mount exists but is pretty steep. But if you're looking at ergotron, maybe it's not that steep for you.

If it's not critical that the upper monitor be full motion, you can get 2 single gas spring and a tall pole mount for the 24 inch on top.

Also, if you go with a wall mount, here's a stud finder and some drywall anchors and cabinet screws. Impact driver is helpful for driving into studs, or if you don't want to deal with all that, drywall anchors should be sufficient, but not as strong.

i was looking at this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0155LJATK/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 to combine with the single arm i already have (ergotech freedom arm). acutally i already have 2 freedom arms and have my 16:9 in portrait next to my ultrawide but im wanting to try a stacked setup. the freedom arms i have dont have enough height to stack. the vivo linked here would be for the upper monitor and my uw would stay on the freedom. but its a 2 arm/pole solution.

u/soleless333 · 2 pointsr/battlestations

One cheap stand in the back, the ultrawide is sitting on the stand it came with. Here's the link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0155LJATK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gKV4CbDXGPP3J

u/GDAFreeman · 2 pointsr/ultrawidemasterrace

Yeah I prefer looking side to side especially since (if you're using windows) windows will attempt to full screen when dragging programs up to the top monitor so you kinda have to give it a little momentum when moving windows around. From what I read it can be disabled though. I also find it easier to compare things side by side not vertically. The top monitor is really just an accessory monitor providing information at a glance (like skype or youtube) but not really part of the work im doing. The X34 has enough real estate that you can compare two documents side by side without other monitors but if you edit code or video having the whole monitor to work with and a little side monitor for grabbing resources is unbeatable. Though if you think its annoying looking left to right with a smaller 29" monitor its gonna be worse with a even larger 34". In the end its your call. If I didn't have the other 2 x34s I'd probably set a 23" up vertically off to the right just to see how it works. I'm also using a very similar pole setup:
http://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Single-Monitor-Adjustable-STAND-V001T/dp/B0155LJATK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

Same brand but it has an arm allowing me to adjust where I like it and angle it forward a bit over the bottom monitor.

The one carrying the X34 is a Loctek D7H which you may not need as the stand for the X34 is pretty amazing already just throw a pole mount behind it for the other monitor.

Thank you. I'm using one of these for my 2nd monitor. It's more stable than the shitty stand that came with my old Samsung panel so now I'm planning on replacing the Samsung stand with a shorter mount like this. Easy to put together but you do need two people to safely install. One to hold the screen while the other is under the desk clamping everything down but once it's tightened down properly its rock solid. I was surprised for how cheap/tall it is.

There are double/triple arms but I figured having two standalone ones would give me the most flexibility down the road. All, of, the, free, standing, ones, I could find look terrible and are expensive compared to the desk clamping arms.

Ah, I missed that detail, sorry. Still, something like I posted should be sufficient for mounting the 24" monitor to the top VESA mount, and positioning it behind your UW.

Alternately, you can get something like this that has a single arm mount with more positioning options.

I used this one for awhile before I got a single arm that had two stacked vertically. Absolutely loved it. This one has a 31" pole - not sure if that will be tall enough.

u/Kix_ · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

To answer your first question: This is the mount I plan to use to get my 24" screen mounted above my AW3418DW when it arrives. I don't have a screenshot of this particular stand above a AW3418DW on it's original stand though.

This is a picture of another user's 25" monitor mounted above. Would look kinda similar with a 24" I suppose.

For me it's a good idea since I don't have that much space on my desk (1400mm wide with my pc standing on it to the right) so for me I think this will be a perfect solution.

u/VoXXXRebel · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Pretty sure this is it.

The when I bought it I just amazon searched wall monitor mount.

u/n00blets · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

It looks like an extra tall VIVO desk mount. I use the dual monitor variation of that stand and can verify it works out well as a vertical monitor mounting solution.

Edit: OP answered when I was writing up a response and it looks like it's the V002T, not the V001T that I linked.
