I love my OXO. It has a nice wide plate that can accommodate all sorts of produce and unwieldy objects, and a pull-out display for those occasions when I'm scaling onto a wide bowl or half-sheet pan that would otherwise obscure the readout on a smaller scale. There's also a backlight you can click in when it gets dark in the kitchen. It switches between ounces and grams, no prob, and the latest version of this scale can do ounces-only, rather than splitting measurements into pounds and ounces.

For small measurements, anything under 4g, I recommend a jeweler's scale like this one. Measuring anything under 1/8th of an ounce is a real crapshoot on large format scales.

This is the exact scale I bought about a year ago. No complaints so far, but really, any scale that has accuracy up to hundredths of a gram should be fine.

I can't do sub- $10, but this is a good scale for the price.

Just realized I didn't answer your scale question.

I use this scale:

Looks like the crappy one I have

This is the scale that I bought

Really solid product. It's scary accurate to the point where my dose weight will fluctuate seemingly by random until I realized it was my breathing that was making the weight fluctuate.

Only downside is that the plastic case it comes with doesn't even fit. I broke it accidentally just trying to remove it. Doesn't matter though, it's pretty durable and I'm very satisfied with it.

I use this one from amazon, only $13. It has 0.00g accuracy, 500g max weight limit, works great for me so far.

I was debating between two scales, this and this but figured the latter had better reviews. I did see that thread, and it did help reinforce my decision. Plus, I can probably use it to meal prep in the future since I can weigh up to 500g vs 100g.

Nice! I debated on buying the bigger sample pack, but figured the small one was safer in case I didn't actually like kratom. It's too bad that you have to pay for shipping, but I got my package very quickly, so I can't complain.

I have one similar to this one, measures to .01 and mine is still going strong two years later. Edit: I have one similar, my brand was smart weigh, looks like Amazon isn't currently selling it.

I've seen recommendations for this one from people I trust.

Update (fixed false-positive bug):

I believe you searched ON amazon before posting your link, so you posted a full on a link like this?

>https://www.amazon.com/WAOAW-Digital-Stainless-Jewelry-Resolution/dp/B01B4KX6JQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&sr=1-1&keywords=WAOAW+500g%2F0.01g+Digital+Pocket+Stainless+Jewelry+%26+Kitchen+food+Scale%2C+Lab+Weight%2C+0.001oz+Resolution

I think, due to the "/ref" part of the link, /u/AutoModerator decided that it was a referral link, which it obviously isnt...I've believe I've adjusted /u/AutoModerator to properly, recognize the links; since I posted this (I'm hoping) it doesn't tag it as a referral link again.

Just so you know, in the future you only need to post the following for an amazon link. The rest is for amazons search/suggestion information in url/referer form - so it can recommend you future products based on your session and such.

As you can see, that link loads the same page....but I've fixed it anyway, so it's somewhat irrelevant. But it does make for a shorter link :P
