There are a lot of mindfulness courses tailored specifically for fibro patients. Check out the NeuroNova Centre. Mindfulness has had a bigger and better impact on mum (severe fibro 9+ years) than the small pharmacy on her bedside table.
This is her favourite book on the topic. The author of the book has run some classes at St. Michael's Knowledge Institute and my mum says that she's the best. Another book my mum is reading and finds interesting.
Toronto Western Hospital also has a fibro specialist you should see. About a 3 month waiting list once you get refereed by you're GP.
It's also worth seeking out a psychiatrist. There are only a handful in Ontario who specialize in fibro patients and sadly waiting lists are 6+ months if they even agree to see you.
Diet is very important. Daily juicing of vegetables is my mum's go to now.
