Fuckin' TSA. A Bluetooth mechanical keyboard would be awesome, but I think they are a relatively new thing and may be hard to find. I know at CES someone showed one. It was called the "Laptop Pro" or something like that. Looks a little weird but I read somewhere it has one hell of a battery life!

Ooo look at this guy: http://www.amazon.com/KBtalKing-Pro-Wireless-Bluetooth-Mechanical/dp/B008QH1YPE

oh and here's a link about that Laptop Pro: http://www.loopinsight.com/2013/01/08/matias-brings-tenkeyless-mechanical-bluetooth-keyboard-to-laptops/

Oh and here's a wireless one, not bluetooth though. Uses a dongle: http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-mechanical-keyboard/dp/B004S862FW/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1370122173&sr=1-3&keywords=Bluetooth+Mechanical+Keyboard

It's XArmor, so the build quality will be questionable. I'd only buy this if you know trouble signs to look for (key chatter, loose connections, poor soldering, etc.) and can get an easy-to-use return policy.

For mousepad if your a low sensitivity gamer and need a large surface area I would get the mionix sargas 460, it's a little bit bigger than the steelseries qck+ and just a little bit thicker. For mouse I would go with the logitech G700, its $70 on amazon right now. For keyboard I am not quite sure, I could only find one wireless but people seem to like it. It's the xarmor u9w by ione.

bluetooth keyboards in windows 7 are horrible anyway, and it looks like you're running 7 so yeah. Don't do that!

For a while Apple made a short version of the wired keyboard too. I bought one when i couldn't afford paying $50 for the full size one once, and it ended up being my favorite keyboard ever. Sadly those are rare. Super rare, so I haven't found a replacement since I gave mine to my bro and it then got rained on by a water pipe leak :(

Edit: for whatever it's worth, here's a wireless mechanical :)

List of wireless mechnical keyboards:

Your best bet would be the XArmor U9W that's readily available from Amazon.

Or the KBTalking Pro, but it has been out of stock for some time now:

Ducky are personally my favourite and I'd recommend them but I don't believe you can get wireless mechanical keyboards, someone might be able to prove me wrong.

EDIT: Here is a wireless one w/ optional USB connector, although I'm unsure of its backlighting.

I don't have any experience with nice wireless keyboards. However, I do have a Matias Wired Mechanical Keyboard that I enjoy a lot. They have a wireless version here that doesn't have a 10 key. The only wireless mechanical keyboard with a 10 key that I know of is one here

u/manirelli · 2 pointsr/gamingpc

As far as I am aware, this is one of the only, if not the only wireless mech:

http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-mechanical-keyboard/dp/B004S862FW

Backlights eat power which means shorter time wireless. Unless you mod you won't find one. Check out /r/mechanicalkeyboards

I'm checking out some reviews and a lot of people are complaining about the wireless. You say you have had no connection issues. Can you specify if that is wireless or wired and if wireless if it works as a wired keyboard without using the receiver? One review says it does not work as just a wired keyboard well others imply it does.

Also, what kind of deal would you give for it with the logitech?

Anyone else interested in reviews here's newegg and amazons page for the keyboard.

I am happy with my XArmor U9W

Had one for about six months had zero problems and I really like it. Good tactile keys.

Deep Key Press - ✓

USB connectivity - I wanted wireless the only reason I didn't purchase a Das.

Buttons no extraneous keys - ✓

Conservative design - ✓

Keyboard has good heavy solid feel to it. Weighs 3 lbs or 1.36 Kilos

Given your list of requirements, if I were you I would just buy [this keyboard] (https://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B004S862FW) then hire someone to fabricate a metal case for it. Its still missing backlighting, but you can easily install ws2812b LED strips to the underside to create underglow lighting.

If bluetooth isn't working well for you, you could try RF. I don't really know any good mechanical keyboards that work over RF let alone even BT, but a google search brings up the XArmor U9W or for a bit more money I found the RF-600.

Sorry they're both fullsize, but there's not many wireless mechanical keyboards.

Edit: RF-600 without the Wireless Computing branding and for $60 less

http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-mechanical-keyboard/dp/B004S862FW this ones pretty goddamned expensive. I'd honestly just get a wired one.

Filco Majestouch 2 Convertible is probably the best choice.

I have the xarmor wireless mech from amazon. It has cherry brown switches and it was like $100 when I bought it. So far I have not had any issues. Love it https://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B004S862FW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497298710&sr=8-1&keywords=xarmor+wireless

The XArmor U9W 2.4 GHz RF wireless mechanical keyboard Cherry MX Brown hits 3 out of 4 of your requirements (except it's 110$, so slightly over your budget). No experience with the brand personally though, but it has 4/5 stars on Amazon.

u/D-Voice · 1 pointr/keyboards

If you're looking for a mechanical keyboard, this keyboard is right up your alley.

There's a mouse in the box as well, but it seems to be of low quality. Nevertheless, a wireless mechanical keyboard for $110 is a very good buy.

The Cherry MX Brown switches that the keyboard uses are great for both typing and gaming, as they offer a quiet tactile bump to tell you when the key is being pressed. This "bump" also eliminates any accidental keystrokes.

I agree with him that you don't know what you don't know what you're talking about.

There are plenty of RF mechanical keyboards.

I also agree with all the points he's making about you being wrong and not able to admit it.

I'm not that dude if that's what you're implying, but I'd wager you and jacobsmirror are suspiciously the same person if anything. Suspiciously low karma and post count? Check.

Thank you! I actually had a brown switch prior to that one, I returned it because it was not clicky enough.

I've been thinking about http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-mechanical-keyboard/dp/B004S862FW , just because it's the only wireless mechanical keyboard I've seen, and I spend most of my time lounging on the couch (Projector + HTPC), and would love to upgrade from a dinky laptop chicklet keyboard.

u/leetNightshade · 1 pointr/keyboards

Boo. I'm interested in this as well, the wireless part being the most important for my media pc in the living room. Off of your suggestion I found this at Amazon: Matias. I didn't see a wireless Filco, but I did find this decent looking one: XArmor. There's not exactly a great selection of highly rated ones right now, but this XArmor one might do.

u/ruskininja · 1 pointr/gaming

Not much choices for a wireless keyboard at that range. You could get a Logitech ergonomic keyboard. Not many options out there at this price range and wireless that are quality built. If you could bump up your budget, you could get a XArmor U9W wireless mechanical keyboard for a little under $110. Other than that, it's just generic wireless membrane keyboards at your price range. May I ask why it has to be wireless? Couch gaming setup?

This is what I found quickly, it's got Cherry Browns which should be fine. It's kind of silly to ask for 'cheap as possible' when asking for 2 features (mechanical and wireless) that drive up the price considerably.

Also, wired is better. Sorry, I know you don't want to hear it, but it is 100% true.
