Edit: I didn't downvote you. Just wanted you to know the Elite does intact exist. The Hybrid drive reduces boot up time from hard rest significantly.
First off, congrats on the twins. Second, it's cool you're doing this for him. You sound like an awesome wife.
Lastly, my suggestion would be to get this model. It doesn't come with a game, but it comes with the Elite controller (which is amazing and which retails for $149.99 on its own) and a 1 TB hard drive. As others have mentioned, hard drive space isn't all that important because he's probably going to want to expand it via an external hard drive eventually, and a 1 TB drive will give him a good starting size.
