Yeah, 350 CAD is 263.86 USD right now, best OP can get away with is probably an APU, or if he cheaps out on storage, case and RAM, maybe a low-end GPU. (Unless if you get a really good deal on kijiji/ebay/craigslist.)
Thing is, going at 350 CAD is really unfair. On Amazon.ca, the PS4 alone goes for $409.95, while the XBone at $399.96
Meaning, OP should have a budget of about $400, not $350.
Also a good time to upgrade too man, you can get a Xbox One for $250 right now with your choice of game. Then you can get the Master Chief collection and Halo 5 and never have a problem finding a game.

Here's a really good machine for $250 that can run games just as good if not better than your $1000 product. For some people cost matters but pc obsessers can't see that through their goggles. I also have a pc and I understand pros and cons but don't tell me a gaming pc is worth the price most of the time.
