I think that's an AGP card. It looks like its interface is farther up than a pci-e would be. link

I think something on the level of a 7750 would do. Anything above that would be wasted unless you had a more powerful CPU. The 7750 is a pretty low power card, but still has quite a bit of power. A 400w power supply would be fine. Even a 300w might work since it doesn't need a pci-e power connecter.

First I think it's a waste of an NES, but only if you are destroying the electronics (assuming they are not already dead). I hope you'll keep the electronics or give them away to someone so that the actual system won't be dead. Maybe your next project could be building a custom NES.

Anyways, I think I know some parts that might help you.

First, A slim 7750

For something like this you should also want a pci-e riser cable/ribbon/kajigger.

Here's another thing you'll definitely want/need for a build of this size. The largest pico psu I can find and an appropriate power brick/adapter to go with it.

However, if you are going to use this for old NES games and such, you won't need the graphics card. The onboard graphics will be more than enough.

There is a significant issue though The pico psu is meant only to run at 160 watts, 200 peak. I pretty sure that pcpartpicker.com is going to estimate power usage to be at max, but the issue is that at max, this system draws 163 watts. Now, I don't know if this would be sustained for long periods of time if you ran the system under full load, but I feel like it would be an issue.

When I say this system, I am referring to this. The psu is not on pcpart picker so it isn't on that, but you can imagine it being there.

Hi! Ended up finding this 7750

It works perfectly. Thanks again for the help.

You can't put more than 3GB RAM in a 32-Bit System, if you don't want to upgrade your system entirely, then I would suggest that you get this one, it's the highest card you can get that doesn't need any extra power input to run.

You didn't mention your PSU, though, it would be great help in suggesting.

i have this pc and it is slow. i would really like to play games but i have no idea where to start. i was thinking about getting this. http://www.amazon.com/XFX-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-FX775AZNP4-FX-775A-ZNP4/dp/B007Z3T5JC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382671357&sr=8-2&keywords=AMD+Radeon

but money is an issue. how would performance be affected? and what games would i be able to play? or what do you suggest?

I have an XFX 7750.

This model

It DOES require a 6 pin connector though :(

u/SFM_dude · 1 pointr/buildapc

i would've suggested this but it requires a 400W PSU at least, unfortuanately, best GPU that can fit the bill would be a GT730 (any of the GDDR5 variants should suffice), theres also talk about NVIDIA releasing a new GT1030 which would probably surpace the GT730 in performance while requiring the same amount of power, though it probably won't be as cheap.

Your options for single slot cards are NOT good ones. even the crap GPUs largely take up two slots. Only thing I could find was this and it's barely going to be as powerful as a GTX 750 Ti.

u/YAOWNYS · 1 pointr/buildapc

Nah, I got this 7750 and I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade for something like that, low power usage and single slot.

Mornin! I'm guessing you're off the plane now? How was the flight?

[](/twicrazy "THE CHOICES AARRRGGGGG") I am at a bit of an impasse. I've whittled down graphics cards into two good choices. The higher-end, and the medium-end. The lower card is very much comparable to the 4870 that I just lost. The upper-end seems to have a better preformace/cost ratio, but it's $100 more expensive. For the amount that I game (not much), I'm leaning towards the lower-card, but my computer is aging and could use a rebuild, in which case I would probably want the higher card to avoid bottlenecking. THE CHOICES.

As for summer, I couldn't find any classes this summer for my degree, so I'm just gunna work a lot and work on my hobbies (and try to get through some of my reading list which is reaching the moon in length).
