>Why on Earth would I want all of that installed at once? I guess I can understand the use case,

Because we can, and we had 32 gb phones since 2012 i think? Today you can buy a 128 GB card for 30 or 50$, flagship phones prices have increased over the past years and i don't know about you, but if the phones prices are gonna increase, then I'm sure as well hoping specs will grow up with those price.

>but keeping a half dozen desktop-grade games installed at all times seems pretty atypical.

There's also emulators, if your phone is powerfull enough you can even play gamecube games on your phone, not to mention psx as well, there's in fact a lot of us who us our phone as a gaming console.

>There's a cloud solution for everything but the apps themselves at this point.

Hmmm something something data caps

See what i don't like about people who said "just X amount of space is enough" is that you're being egoistic, just because you don't need it doesn't mean it's the case for everyone, having more space for the same money won't do you any wrong either so i really don't understand why people are defending 32 gbs of storage on a 400$ phone When there are phones like the xiaomi red note 4 offering the same spec for way less money.
