God I hope this formats correctly - I am a neophyte.

Exhaust - http://www.ixilusa.com/ixil-l3xb-black-hyperlow-xl-full-exhaust-yamaha-mt-07-2014-2015/

Super deep and loud sound - videos online don't do it justice, its unbelievably loud when the baffles are out. Had to have the cat cut out of it. Be aware they have a cat in the V section before the end of the pipe.

Removed the snorkel covering the airbox - I was told its basically blocks airflow.

ECU Flash / Dyno by 2wheelDynoWorks - https://2wheeldynoworks.com/shop/ecu-flashing-service/15-17-yamaha-fz07-mail-in-ecu-flashing-service/

Nels himself worked on my bike - super stoked (shout out to Nate too) They have the best customer service.

Tune as you go

Windscreen - https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/puig-touring-naked-new-generation-windscreen-yamaha-mt-07-2018

I got light smoke, I think it goes better with the bike and pushes wind over my shoulders even at 80+ mph

Basically got everything from this except the bar ends

Super easy to replace mirrors etc with these - and they add protection

I like the CRG Mirrors but they get bumped and are hard to readjust - the cheap ebay/amazon mirrors work great

Passenger peg deletes - https://www.ebay.com/itm/for-YAMAHA-MT07-FZ07-Footrest-Cover-Passenger-Footpeg-Removal-Delete-Kit-2014/253869999740?hash=item3b1bd4c67c:g:3qEAAOSw0JVbm1FQ:rk:1:pf:0

I removed the passenger pegs, needed a bracket to hold the brake fluid reservoir - also cleaned up the pegs

Havent done the brakes yet - going to replace the lines etc with steel braid.

Also want to do a sprocket / chain swap for acceleration

I used a quadlock phone mount for a little bit - but took it off because I was playing with my phone too much.

Oh. Do you find its too slow on the trails or on pavement? Also have you replaced the stock throttle tube? I would highly recommend getting the R6 throttle tube, or similar. This helped me immensely with the lack of power.

What the R6 throttle does is it shortens the throw. It also introduces power more abruptly off idle, I like this, it helps gives it a little more punch. It makes it much easier to get on the throttle. With the stock tube, I had to twist my wrist so far to get to WOT, that it would upset my control when standing. This mod made a big difference for me, the EFI can keep up with bigger throttle inputs, so adding the tube for me it was like adding HP to the bike, it was there all along, I just couldn't use it before haha

The throttle tube part #: 2C0-26240-00-00 is from the 2006 - 2015 Yamaha R6

That said, I live in New England, I have ridden in CO once for a few days, you have those awesome haul ass trails where you are WOT for several miles in the sand across a desert. I was on a DR350 at the time, and I was WOT in 5th getting passed by bigger bikes. So I get what you mean that the WRR is weak. It has enough for anything that NE has to offer but in a larger state it would feel small.

I would recommend the DRZ400S in your situation if more cheap power is required. It's gear box is shit, and it will feel like an old tractor compared to the WR250R, but it has WAY more power to offer. With some basic mods on the DRZ it is is a totally different league than the WRR for power. People like to compare them like they are similar, but they aren't the DRZ is way more powerful. I own a DRZ400sm currently along side my WR250R, and my brothers WR450F is also in my garage. The DRZ is a perfect middle ground between the WR450F and the WR250R. It has most of the street manners of the WRR, and most of the power of the WR450F. But the damn gear box is its Achilles tendon. I have mine geared taller, 16/41 with SM wheels, I have to drag the clutch a ton to get going, it idles at like 10 mph, stop and go traffic really sucks on it like this, and I still feel like I want a taller gearing for droning on the freeway. You could swap out CS sprockets, that is a greasy option you could explore. Also you can split the case and install after market wider gears. But if it was me in your shoes I would just leave it geared low, and go very slow when droning. I have droned for only a couple hours at a time on the DRZ, and it did leave my hands buzzing, where on the WRR I can go all day no problems.

The DRZ will loose oil when you go fast on the freeway, also compared to the WRR it feels like it will blow up when you hold it WOT on the freeway for more than a few seconds. At 18k miles mine would loose 500ml every 1k miles it holds 2L total. Checking the oil after every ride just becomes second nature, it's not so bad, but you have to do it.
