> I don't think that most people (IE: the people who weren't following the news as closely as people on this subreddit do) had any understanding of just how corrupt Trump was before the election.

He's spent the better part of the past 40 years in the public eye. His conflicts of interest and corruption are common knowledge. Every news outlet, every information outlet, right down to the Sunday funny pages, has made it clear how unfit he is.

Hell, Doonesbury had enough cartoons poking fun at Trump since the 1980's that they released an entire damn book!

Might be 29 years old, but the jokes still ring true.

Seriously. I have literally no idea how Trump wasn't laughed off the stage back in 2015. He was an actual, factual, literal, real punchline even back then.

Trump jpkes have beenaroundfor at least 30 years, including a famous run of comic strips about how ridiculous it would be if he ran for president.

And before that, they were writing protest songs about his father.

He was already a literal punchline in the 80s. Never will I understand idiot Republicans.
