Are you all gonna get 3 of each and then combine them to make the best deck possible or just get 1 each and play as is? Either way, for you I'd recommend this one.

For your friend, does he have a fave monster or mechanic from the old days? Maybe the monarch structure deck. That one used to be a meta deck but got a few cards limited, but if you're playing just the two of you it won't matter

Or just get the new yugi and kaiba decks maybe but idk much about those
