Went through a similar problem. Started keto in late Oct of '17 and started hitting the gym at least 4 times per week around 2 months later.

Personally, I felt greatly discouraged with the numbers I was lifting, but that's more to do with my ego than anything else. I still got my pump every time I went to the gym. My goal is to lose fat and put on lean mass. I have to keep telling my self I'm on a cut, not a bulk. So I can't expect the same numbers as when I was on a SAD diet. I started taking zip fizz and it kind of helped.. I recently started on creatine monohydrate (haven't used creatine since high school btw, lol) but now 3 weeks into it and I'm performing much better at the gym. I couple that with a very a good protein shake afterwards and I'm much happier with the results I'm getting. In addition, I drink 1 liter of homemade "keto aid" daily (2 liters total on gym days), and take vitamins.

The trick is to not let yourself get discouraged. I've heard of some folks on strict keto and still able to kill it at the gym. This was not the case for me. I had to start from square one again and I'm appreciating this journey much more than I have in the past. It's also a lesson to never let myself be away from the gym for long periods of time again.

I am not a coffee or energy drink kind of gal. I don't really drink sodas that often, which means I don't get a lot of caffeine. But, my aunt had me try these. They are called Zipfizz, and they actually do work. I don't feel jittery, and I do seem to have more energy. And they taste pretty good.

Seriously though, I hate coffee. I think I am one of the few people that graduated college without drinking any coffee. I don't even like the smell.

What’s more interesting is that you’re wrong. Look at the nutritional information: https://www.amazon.com/Zipfizz-Healthy-Hydration-Vitamins-Variety/dp/B007TW2G8Q#immersive-view_1572945891819

Electrolytes definitely help. I do a mix of broth, these zipfizz things, vitamins and MioFit. I find that liquid forms of the electrolytes help me most. I guess they just work faster :)
