One thing you can consider is a hybrid guitar.

Those are guitars with a body similar to a steel-string folk guitar, but with nylon strings. They also have a neck that is more narrow than a classical guitar, but a bit wider than a steel-string. They are also usually cutaway models with electric pickups.

I own this guitar, made by ukulele maker Pono (aka Ko'olau). This is now the only guitar I own, and I love it.

Alvarez hybrid

Yamaha hybrid

Cordoba hybrid

And of course, the famous Taylor nylon hybrid

Thank you!

The chassis is a Rosewill RSV-L4000 - 4U Rackmount Server Case with both of the front fan/drive slots replaced with these hotswap cages.

It is mounted on sliding rails, but note that they aren't super good quality and for this chassis you must use the middle two holes of the L bracket or else you'll be offset by .5U when you mount it in your rack. The setup does work pretty well for what I use it for though, and it's relatively inexpensive to put together!

If you're referring to the guitar, it's a cheap 3/4 electric acoustic that I picked up for quick practice and portability when travelling.

I started in June and just bought my third, too!!

First was electric, second was acoustic, and this newest is an electric acoustic (which I now adore). I keep the acoustic at work so I can keep my fingers/mind busy there.

Black Acoustic/Electric Bass Guitar

I have an Ibanez AEB5EBK Acoustic/Electric Bass Guitar, Black that I bought myself and now never play. It's just sitting in my closet.

Fair enough... that makes a lot of sense. Another guy suggested an Alvarez, (I'm sorry if I'm bothering you by asking all these questions), but would you mind giving your opinion on this one, and its comparison to the APX500?

Thanks bro :)

Got a brand new, unused Fender Pawnshop 72 for 200€ off of Ebay. It was summer holiday season, so apparently, all the dads that usually outbid me were on holiday with their kids. First time I bid drunk, too... I checked the serial number, but it does not appear to be stolen. Awesome player, great concept - now my #1 for live purposes. Other than that, I'm mostly terrible to acquire good gear cheap.

There is one on Amazon for $450. new, the thing is if you can get the warranty as the original owner you should, as the warranty is absolutely non transferable and if it ever needs work, Martin will charge more than the guitar is even worth.

Yo dawg, I think your best option would be a badass pick holder such as this or even something more unorthodox like this. They're a really fun way to keep picks handy and accessible but still spice up the instrument look itself!

I just worked yesterday! :P Today I am going to World Of Beer for a Seadog Brewing Company cookout and then ending the night celebrating my friends birthday. As for what I would choose I would like a gift card as I am teaching myself guitar and have been borrowing my friends guitar so I would like to buy one of my own. Thank You and enjoy your time with your Family, Mine is 15 states away!

Nice. I was looking at one on Amazon yesterday for $400. Is it worth the money?

Im absolutely new to bass, and i have just limited experience with acoustic guitars (i only know 3 songs). Im considering buying an electric acoustic bass instead of an electric bass since its relatively cheaper, i dont need an amp and im mostly going to play between friends in one of our houses and by myself. Also, i really like the unplugged sound. I would like to have opinions on this matter, also this is the bass im considering:

Something cheap to begin with. I dont want to spend a freaking lot for something that its a hobbie, not at the begining at least

I thought it was a PRS as well.

It is apparently a Chinese-made electric-acoustic:

This. And even new the street price for the FG820 is only $330. Link to Amazon so you can read the reviews (4.5/5). If I were in the market for a budget left-handed acoustic this is what I would buy.

Yamaha also has the APX700L, a left-handed thinline electric acoustic. A friend of mine has the right-handed version. It doesn't have the natural volume of a dreadnought like the FG820, but it can be plugged into an amp. It's a nice guitar but it's a bit more expensive at around $560 street.
