I saw this on Sharktank a while ago and I remember thinking, "who the fuck would buy this?"
I guess I underestimated the market.
You clearly need The Drop Stop
No really, I put them in my car and they're great.
Outside of a new (to you) car purchase the closest thing I've seen to one is what cabbies have been using forever to mitigate swamp ass.

Thank you! No problem, happy to share! They're leather seat covers by a company called FH group (Amazon Link). They're a little pricier than regular seat covers but well worth it, they look and fit great!

I apologize in advance for this long post. None of these are "must gets", but they are what I got for my 2016 Premium forester. I'm posting this for my own future reference as well as to help some people who are wondering what accessories might be good for their new forester. I highly recommend ordering from Jackie from Annapolis Subaru @ 443-837-1422 as she can get you some good prices on the subaru accessories as well as WeatherTech products! I saved on WeatherTech shipping costs (~$20) by ordering through Jackie and the warranty is the same as if I had bought them through their website.
Please note that some of these accessory links are for my specific car year, model and configuration. I have a 2016 Premium forester without eyesight (affects the Covercraft/heatshield sunshade - they also have eyesight compatible sunshades!).
Also, I personally didn't get my windows tinted, but I think that is something that you should seriously consider doing :)

Seat handle inserts are easily the best value.
LED interior lights are common. deAutoKey is a popular site/brand and provides various kits. Crisp white light really makes the interior look a lot newer, imho. And many people go for colored footwell lights.
Under seat storage tray is an option, but not a cheap one.
Maybe you should have bought a Drop Stop. Saw it on shark tank.
This is under seat lockbox there are many different options for trunk and over head boxs depending on preference. Tuffy is a good brand to my knowledge.
I wouldn't use a propane heater, I had more space than you in a RAV4 and didn't do it because it's such a fire hazard in a car. You need at least 3 feet of space between you, your belongings, parts of the car, and the heater so it doesn't melt or catch things on fire. Also in an uninsulated environment with lots of windows like a car the heat dissipates quickly, leaving you with all the moisture it puts out and not very warm unless you're sitting right in front of it.
I would suggest slapping some universal seat heaters on your mattress/sleeping pad, they are really easy to wire into your car using a simple fuse tap and have an on/off switch. You can switch them on to toast up your bed while you drive to your sleeping location and then it will be super nice and warm when you climb in, plus no extra moisture getting things cold, clammy, and creating condensation. You only have to be careful not to leave them on so they don't wear down your battery.

This was the kit I ordered:

Like I said in the post it should fit better on '95 and older. It looks like the bottom seat cushion changed in '96 so it wasn't a perfect fit but I made it work.
I also needed to pick up some hog rings and pliers:

You can buy pleather replacement seat covers on amazon for $100. It looks fairly DIY and the pictures from reviewers actually look really good. Probably won't be the greatest quality and durability, but for $100 it's hard to argue.
Going to order them for myself. Here's the link.

There ya go! I’ve also seen them at autozone without the rear seat or the other accessories, as well as different options from amazon, I feel this is the best color though especially for my Jeep
i always change my shorts and jersey when I get off the bike, and I use a seat cover like this for the ride home:

My 2004 base has the cloth seats, but when I used to drive a 93 cavalier z24 with white pleather seats, they were pretty horrible when driving top down in the sun. I feel you, my back sweat was horribly embarrassing.
I was mostly able to fix the problem with those thick bead seat covers, as they put a little bit more air room between you and the leather. Something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Comfort-Bead-Wood-Beaded-Cushion/dp/B000EEU0IO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395690608&sr=8-1&keywords=bead+seat+cover
Good luck!
There are 3 different connectors that you'll have to hook up to the connector that comes with the head unit that plugs into the head unit itself. The other 3 connectors are VERY easy to install. 0 electrical engineering education, but common sense and the color coded instructions on the back of the packaging explains all you need to know.
Radio Antenna harness
Main connection (two main connectors that came out of the factory head unit)
USB Connector (if your car came with usb at the bottom right of the center console)
Should mention that the stock AUX connection won't function. You will have to run an extension from the back of the head unit to somewhere in your car. I routed mine to the left side of the passenger seat held up by this thing.
I don't use the microphone for bluetooth so that's not connected. I don't plan on using my head unit for displaying for any video sources so I didn't bother hooking up the hand brake bypass. The GPS antenna I just stuck to some metal plate that was inside the head unit cavity (pretty strong magnet and pretty accurate).
You may want to pick up a bracket like this. to fill in the rest of the head unit cavity along the sides. I'm not too sure if this is the exact one for the head unit. Crutchfield automatically told me what parts I would need to completely setup the head unit including the bracket and connectors. I couldn't find yours on the site so I can't tell you exactly which bracket to get. They're both Pioneer head units so it's worth a try. The bracket is a generic bracket made for most Toyota cavities to support double DIN sized head units. I had to do some slight Dremel work to get everything to line up with the stock mounting bracket. A solid afternoon with everything and I was set by the end of the day.
I had to contact OEM Audio Plus about how to get power to their amplifier because they have a replacement harness for the stock harness. But that's information that doesn't pertain to you unless you own their system with a subwoofer.
Tl;dr: Links 1-3 are what you need to connect everything. Link 4 is some random accessory I bought that happened to work things out. Link 5 is a bracket adapter to the stock bracket. Last link is the site that showed me all the stuff I needed and I just looked them all up on Amazon.
I fell in love with this car seat cover! It's more towel-like in texture which was hard to find (I didn't like microfiber or more plastic-y stuff). I bought 3 and wash and dry mine every few classes.

The following is cheap and adds a nice touch. You could probably find it cheaper btw, I just linked the first one I found. I got mine for like $6 shipped.

Look at Cobb tuning for performance modifications, if your tight on money a stage 1 tune is plenty for most and it's honestly how the car should've came in the first place. It costs about 675 for a access port and an air filter. Cobb's biggest competitor is APR which is slightly pricier with a bit more, but the accessport is really unbeatable because you can flash your ECU yourself and do everything yourself. Couple aesthetics i would consider is something like the Mk7 side wings

I also got these from amazon

Makes entering the car feel a little bit better. This is my advice to you if you want to spend 1k or less. honestly the cobb accessport is a godsend and everyone should have one lol

your best bet might be to post on the the gaming forums and describe your situation. i went to walmart and bought this chair and i love it. i gained 120 pounds so my old chairs gas pump fell through the base and was riding on the floor lol. so i found this chair that supports up to 400 pounds. i can say my back doesnt hurt and i really like it. it is stiffer than most so you cant recline as easily you will actually have to use your legs to push the backrest to lean back. but its comfortable, supports my 320 pounds, and doesnt make my back hurt after gaming for a while like my old chair. i used to feel exhausted after gaming because my back would hurt( since my old chair broke i was using a hard dining room chair) never again! this chair should last forever since ill never reach 400 pounds. you might want to go to your local walmart and try it out.

Yeah it can be hard to find sometimes. Another thing you could look into is getting new upholstery for your seats. For a whole I've thought about getting this kit. Seems to be priced well and it looks nice in all of the customer pictures.
I just saved your life. You're welcome.
I have driver and passenger on my 2007 jk. The passenger side probably shouldn't have fit, but I wiggled it in there, bent some stuff out of the way so it'd fit.

That fits 2010 and down, not sure what year you've got.
I got the cheapo Motor Trend ones off of amazon. They're cheaply made and the back strap broke already on mine, but a few minutes stitching it back up it works fine. I like that they're waterproof so if I spill a drink or am all sweaty when I get in my car it won't seep into the fabric. They're not the best, and they're a little baggy on the Forester seats, but they work fine.

Sure thing. This is the specific one I use - it is for the car but has an adapter you can get to plug it into the wall. Very inexpensive and helped me so much - chair and adapter amazon links.
its because you know if you do buy it, its going to be a piece of shit even though you want it to work.

It's pretty basic, hooks over the headrest and just lays on the seat, rubbery underside and canvas-y top side. It's totally waterproof, doesn't stink even though I've never washed it. I bought mine 4 years ago, and still looks new and works great. 10/10 in my book.

They also have a tan version. I've had mine for about 15k miles. These seat covers are very nice and I think the Amazon's reviews reflect that.
These seat lever inserts should be mandatory:

I used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004BWU8H8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fs8QCb0S9HNDT for years in my wrangler. You’d have to have a vehicle with significant space under the seat
Get a set of car seat beads like these.
Sure they look tacky, but they're effective in creating a gap between you and your seat allowing the back half of you to "vent".
They're not AC, but they help a lot.

I’m not sure what vehicle you drive so this probably isn’t compatible, but it works great in my jeep. Maybe you can find something similar that fits your model. https://www.amazon.com/Bestop-42640-01-HighRock-2007-2018-2011-2018/dp/B004BWU8H8
When I take my Spitfire on long drives I use a beaded seat cover. It allows air to circulate between me and the seat. That keeps my back from sweating and making me wet. I think they are ugly as sin, but it's comfortable.
You can thank me later.
This may help

OP, some accessories I'd recommend:
The Drop Stop. I have one set in my Mazda and no longer find mummified french fries under my seat. haha.
I assume you use 2x these and 1x this?
Really though you should just air-condition the garage.
Mazda Miata Front Seat Cover Kit for 1990-1996 Standard Seats, Tan (Saddle) Simulated Leather https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZ7C85Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HGMrxbE6ZTZVY
I think they also make them in black!
I had it professionally installed but i know its possible to diy!
I got them from Amazon, but yeah, those are the ones.
I bought this kit last winter for my wife's civic. It wasn't too bad to install but not something I would really enjoy doing again.
I got some Jamaican Beads for this season, and they've done a lot to help keep my seat dry on hot, humid days. Makes riding long distances much more comfortable. Only $10 at Wal-Mart.
Other than that, I just stop every 50 miles and pour a water bottle over my head.
Something to add to your christmas list...

I was in a similar situation to yours. I have a maxnomic chair comparable to DXracer. I found the included pillows terrible. I tried multiple lumbar supports with no relief. What finally worked was a samsonite lumbar support I found at costco (little more expensive on amazon) because it had more squish to it. When I use this one, my shoulders/head don't make contact and I'm able to play FPS games for hours at a time without pain.
https://www.amazon.com/Samsonite-SA5243-Lumbar-Support-Cushion/dp/B072K59NYZ
This seems to be the one. It was $10 at costco (I plan on going back for an additional for work)
Also, with my maxnomic my feet weren't planted on the ground properly. Consider trying some form of foot rest if that is the case for you.
I also second with getting mosnter mats and interior LEDs, huge difference
Other mods I have for the list are:
•Illuminated shift knob - color matched to interior red lighting and dims with the dimmer switch (not sure if you have stick or DSG but have a spare for sale)
•Double Apex USB Charger - OEM + look to fill dummy ports, very easy install
•GTI seat inserts ($30 off amazon) https://www.amazon.com/Gizmo-Supply-2PCS-Wrench-Insert/dp/B0094A6UUQ
•Toe-Hook License frame mount (if you're in a state that requires a front plate)
Maybe you need this. Drop Stop
Consider a seat cover.

Not wired in yet. There's a few ways you can DIY it however. You can go to a junkyard and try to find some ZJ or XJ seats that have seat heaters in them (the XJ came with heated seats in the limited edition on 97-01 models), you can purchase a DIY kit from Amazon (you can also take your seats to an upholster and have them install it for you) or you can purchase new seats with heaters built-in from PRP or Corbeau.
Depending on the style you get, you may need a switch that has an ON/OFF/ON setup for low/high seat heating.
Pro Tip: get these people, saved my ass multiple times
I plan on installing one of these kits. Trying to figure out where to place the switch though.
Drop Stop - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BYH6C1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OnD5CbGVJGGXR
I picked mine up on Amazon.
Nice, I've seen those ones in there actually! I wasn't sure how they would hold; I'm always skeptical of seat covers that don't slide over the whole seat. I might give them a try, got a small rip in drivers side seat.
Backup plan is to get a new set of 60/40s from the scrap yard, put some aftermarket seat heaters in, and call it all new!

Wiring was easy i tapped into the cigarette lighter with inline fuses on each set ran the wiring into the center console and under the floor to the seats

You should invest in a couple of these. The couple of bucks has been worth the frustration it's saved me from not having to dig my phone or change out from between the seats and console I don't know how many times in the year or so since I've had them.

Something like this?
Warm drinks, fleece lined leggings under pants or compression leggings with leg warmers over heavy socks, and slippers!
At work, I switched out my space heater that was making the air too dry for a seat warmer and it is the best thing ever.
Leather. And then I throw a seat protector on in. Takes 2 seconds to remove when I have passengers.

Haha! Awesome thanks so much. You can order direct from our website. We'll be finding our way to retail very shortly and we'll let y'all know.
You can also order from Amazon and QVC, but right now our site has a free shipping code up for a Shark Tank promo...it's scheduled to be removed at 1pm PST. However if you don't get to ordering before then, just PM us for a free shipping code and we'll create one just for you ;-)
I would skip the CAI then, you go from “sure, I’ll give offroading a shot” to getting into some heavy trails real quick.. Trust me.
The upside to upgrading to that sub is to move the subwoofer to a spot that is rarely used and then utilize the prime real estate of the factory subwoofer (heck there might be a subwoofer box delete kit to totally free that space up).
Other ideas I’d like to do but can’t at the moment: cargo slide, under seat locked storage, drop down tailgate table.
1000% recommend the heated seat/plug-in seat warmer. I have one similar to this that my husband got me for Christmas and it helps SO much with my stiffness and soreness on my commute. It actually makes me not dread getting in the car anymore. I hope you find something that helps you!
Try using a percussion massager in the affected areas. You can usually get one on amazon for around $30. You can also use a car seat massager with heater that can be used in the car and also while lying down of sitting on the couch or chair. Tylenol doesn't work so great for back pain so try aleve.
A couple suggestions:

Use them as often as possible, as it will help relax the muscles. If he doesn't have one already, he should think about using a back brace at work.
Good luck and take care of yourselves.
This is what I got for my Driver's seat...

Not sure if it's available in Germany, though.
I cover the seat with this after mountain biking:

The abyss. Get one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BYH6C1E

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XT8PQ23/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A61NV174423ZK&psc=1
I use these for the front seats whenever I'm worried about color or moisture (sweat) transfer. I keep one under each seat just in case the passenger needs one. The are easy to put on and take off.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KNWU66W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I tried these first, and hated them:

Oh goodness no, I can't take credit there. I don't want to downplay the effort, it definitely takes care and patience, but the covers themselves are premade.
Here's a link to them if you're interested (again my review is that they're imperfect and not super great quality, but they do the job and are relatively inexpensive)
Hopefully the dealership cleaned the wheels well. I'd suggest cleaning them again and putting a sealant or wheel wax on the barrel of the wheels to aid in keeping them clean. The brakes on BMWs throw a lot of dust.
A quick interior detailer is a big time saver as the wood trim on the inside picks up fingerprints pretty quick.
I have two guzzler drying towels and sometimes that isn't enough for the vehicle, picking up a 3rd when they're on sale.
Get an in-car trash can. This one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000ETQMIQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1373031061&sr=8-1&pi=SL75 fits behind the center console well.
Also get some drop stops http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BYH6C1E/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1373031227&sr=8-1&pi=SL75 since the gap between the seat and console is hungry.
My X5M is black exterior, black leather, black piano trim and a fingerprint magnet.
Just get regular s14 seats and cover them with these
I just got these instead: https://www.amazon.com/Drop-Stop-Original-Patented-Filler/dp/B00BYH6C1E
Drop Stop - as seen on Shark Tank. Prevents stuff from falling between the seats. http://www.amazon.com/Drop-Stop-Original-Patented-Filler/dp/B00BYH6C1E
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT8PQ23 and I'd call it day.
