Be kind to your stator, don't use resistors, use one of these they come in 3-pin as well if that's the flavor your pig prefers.

Sorry for crappy formatting, as you can tell, I'm not a frequent Reddit poster...

Sorry if I missed anything, I couldn't find all my orders in one place.

Going to give these a spin. For $7 and free prime shipping I don't have to worry too much if they don't work or burn out.

It looks like this bulb might work in both my reverse lights and my city/parking lights above the fogs. Wish me luck :P

u/quedra · 2 pointsr/GoRVing

We have a 2006 Rockwood. Since its the same manufacturer, we may have the same lights.

Our dinette light is two bulbs, with a half dome...

Outside porch and yard lights...

Small round reading lights.

All overhead lights...

Hope this helps.

Edit: the outside lights and the dinette lights look very similar. Also, the stove hood light uses the same bulb as the overheads.

If you are in the city the bulbs burn out faster because you have to keep pressing the brakes. Bulbs usually burn out when turning on.

- I have replaced all the bulbs in my dad's car with LED bulbs. Been over a year and they hasn't burned out, before I had to replace them for him every 2 weeks or so. (This is for Camry running as taxi)

For the brake lights and day lights, I have the Auxbeam 3157 LED Light Bulbs and Auxbeam 194

For the headlights I have the Auxbeam LED Headlights F-S2 Series H11

Very good bulbs. I also have them in the 2008 escape. But I just bought it like 2 weeks ago so we will see.

since it's only two tail lights, and since I'm kind of familiar with how this works -- you could possibly get this going on your car for half of the cost of one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Sequential-Light-Module-Sequentially-Blinks/dp/B01LXNR3YD/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484339030&sr=8-1&keywords=turn+signal+sequencer

You're only using 1/2 the wiring complexity -- I've seen simpler kits as well so in the case of the part above it might be something redundant.

Another thought would be to take the kit, install it so that it controls the stock light location bulbs in the stock tail lamps for the inner and outer lights -- and for the ones in the middle, add a couple of LED lights so that you have a light "in between" -- so one of the two LEDs would sit on the right lamp near the split, and the other on the left lamp near the split on the other side -- and you'd get the 3-sequence effect but with two lamps.

Just some crazy thoughts. I think it'd be pretty cool.

I bought these Sylvania LEDs and I love them. They're perfect for the Miata. Ignore the negative reviews because the peoples' housings didnt work well with these bulbs.

I usually steer clear of Sylvania because they're overpriced and underwhelming but I have only positive things to say about the 1157R LED they make.

u/The_Bitch_Pudding · 1 pointr/MechanicAdvice

Shop around, that seems expensive. Check Amazon if you use it.

Just as example that truck should use the 1157 bulb for the brakes.
Here's
a pair of those bulbs in LED for $13

Thanks! I only replaced the headlights and daytime running lights, I haven’t really figured out a way to get to the fog lights and just left the turn signals alone. The daytime running lights are good, and the headlights are pretty similar to the halogens, but I do think I should redo my headlight because they keep triggering the warning that my headlights are low after about a month. I’ll get better pictures later today.

I fixed it by changing the red stop lights to these: SYLVANIA ZEVO 2357 Red LED... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A77TL3M?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf.

Not sure why that happened thouguh.

u/Wirerat · 1 pointr/GrandCherokee

These are the bulbs that reduced the heat that was causing my issue. SYLVANIA ZEVO 3157 Red LED Bulb, (Contains 2 Bulbs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A77RU5I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_eZRNzbFBFN2CT

The metel tabs on the housing werent making good connection to the twist bulb socket.

so a while ago I got some led lights from amazon here. They worked for a few months then started blowing the fuse. I have regular bulbs back in but I'd like something much brighter. Are there any bulbs any of you know of that work out of the box without having to install resistors?
Thanks

u/cloudywater1 · 1 pointr/ToyotaTacoma

just the bulb. I bought [these] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K3GBRQ2?m=A126Q4T86JLNL&ref_=v_sp_widget_detail_page) about 6 months ago and have been very happy with them.

I used one of these

and made a custom mount that used a lug from the spare tire mount, then wired it into the trailer wiring brake lights
