Tent. Happy with this.

Screens. Get bigger ones. They don't fit over the front widows.

Thank you! I got it on Amazon. It does ship from China though, so I had to wait a while to get mine.

I also got 2 of these window shades for extra ventilation up front https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y85UME2. It was a hot summer night so it really helped.

I had that sunshade too it’s a piece of shit. Get this one instead it’s great: Covercraft UV11225SV Silver UVS 100 Custom Fit Sunscreen for Select Ford Focus Models - Laminate Material, 1 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007552NHQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nnI6CbZ8VQY06

You pretty much have your question answered but I wanted to show some winter car accessories that I use and they have made life easier.

When my car is parked overnight I use a cover like this and it keeps ice and frost off your windshield. There are various types and sizes of these. Mine had side mirror pockets to hold it on and covers the wipers too. Putting in on and taking it off is much easier/quicker than defrosting and scraping.

Very cold temps can result in a dead battery, or one too weak to start the car. This happened to me yesterday and I used one of these to jump start it. I have jumper cables too, but with this I didn't need anyone's help.

When I got home, I trickle charged my battery with this. I just parked in my driveway and ran the charger's 25 foot cord under the garage door and clamped them onto the terminals under the hood. Started nicely today.

I also keep an air compressor in my car all the time. If I'm out on the road and my tire pressure sensors start beeping I can pull over anywhere and top them off.

From what I understand, there are two kinds of shades. There's one that's almost a super fine mesh which lets diffuse sunlight through and one that blocks all light out completely (also has a reflective surface, similar to those windshield covers.

Do you think the latter would be something that would convince her?

The SO and I are not massively impressed by the glass roof ourselves and plan to buy a shade that blocks all light out.

You can get very anonymous reflective windshield shades that also cover the side windows. For my build, I'm planning to add blackout material to the edges of one of these to make the coverage 100% without making much difference to the overall appearance.

Something like this but a bit more substantial: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vktech-6Pcs-Reflective-Window-Shade/dp/B00CJS2ZEA

Quick search yields: https://www.amazon.com/Shade-Styx-ERT-RW39-Universal-Sunshade/dp/B008VM0TLO. They seem to be universal unless you are looking for one that custom fits the Model 3. An option that many have done is to get it tinted but that will definitely be on the more expensive side.

Thats the VW OEM one. I have it, it's okay. Edges are getting a little ratty after 3 years of use. It does a good job with heat. Honestly good tint will help you more in that department.

Covercraft is another popular one. Shop around, but this is the product: https://www.autoanything.com/driving-accessories/covercraft-windshield-sun-shade

One thing to know about modern windshields is that they protect from UVA and UVB rays, your side windows generally do not by default.

I got these for my 100 and they are the right size. I wouldn't drive with them on but for camping they are perfect.

I've had one like this for a few years. Folds up super small too.

I don't doubt that your aunt is getting headaches, but they aren't caused by the Wi-Fi. Multiple studies and the World Health Organization reports show that people really can't tell when devices are on or off. So either they're psychosomatic or caused by something else. But rather than confront her directly and make her feel defensive, you might do what the other redditor suggested above and black out the lights or approach her and say something like "I'm concerned about your headaches, but according to medical studies there's likely another reason for it and I want you to find the actual cause and be happy and healthy. You might have had these before but since getting the Wi-Fi package just became more acutely aware of them". Then maybe suggest she up her intake of water and add an electrolyte powder because hydration and vitamins are the easiest place to start. Maybe suggest she start logging her food and sleep and see if there's a pattern. Even if this is all in her head, it doesn't mean it's not real. The brain is a powerful little thing and the fact that placebos work shows we can consciously and unconsciously control a lot. Your approach will depend on your aunt's personality and you know her best. If that doesn't work, get one of those car sunshades that come in two sections and put one side in front of the router and make up a story that it's a Wi-Fi filter or something and tell her it still allows the signal to get through for devices but filters out the frequency that affects humans.

The sunshade I'm talking about: Car Windshield Sun Shade - Blocks UV Rays Sun Visor Protector, Sunshade To Keep Your Vehicle Cool And Damage Free,Easy To Use, Fits Windshields of Various Sizes (Classic 59 x 27.55 inches) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I90VP0G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5BlWBbZ1ASR6C

Link to an article that explains the studies showing Wi-Fi headaches aren't really a thing that you can show her as a source for scientific basis if she's open to facts and stuff: https://amp.livescience.com/52978-electromagnetic-hypersensitivity-cause-unclear.html

It's not hot, but your car turns into an oven. These things work pretty well.

u/nelsonmurdocks · 1 pointr/ATBGE

That would pair very nicely with this.

I don't even have my Tesla yet but I purchased this sunshade for the back window. My daughter hates the sun in her eyes so just heading off the issue.

In addition to the fan get a set of these.

They really help with regard to airflow and they really black out the car from the outside. You can still see out well enough but people can't see in.

Bought these but they aren't a perfect fit. I may end up getting the oem or covercraft ones. Had a similar one on my last car

All it needs is this

I took some old screen and fabric and made a covering for a window on my grand. I used the fabric on the edges of the screen and tucked some magnets all around the edge. When I get to the camp ground i just stick it to the outside of the car.

That was before I hears of this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0162EMY10/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_NKV2xbXV6FPYS

If you’re going to spend money, might as well buy the thing you’re trying to create. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I90VP0G/
