I love love the side-snap shirts. I went for the Carter's 5 pack, but just noticed on Amazon that Gerber has a 3 pack for $8.99.

We ran into this exact question when we signed up for swim classes! This is what they're talking about. Apparently they don't think a swim diaper will actually do the trick? We use GroVia swim diapers which have worked great and our pool had these for us to buy at the counter. I don't know why they're necessary if you have a good swim diaper (I also don't know how effective disposable ones are having never used them), but I'm a rule follower so we used them. They seem so uncomfortable though!

I'm feeling the struggle on this! We're taking LO to a family Christmas concert and we need to dress up but be practical for weather and fuss.

Tesa Babe has a lot of Christmas rompers with cute prints.

Might do this with tights/leggings. But will probably have to replace the shirt with a onesie for practical purposes.

Carter onesies are good for lanky babies - the cut is long & skinny not boxy . Eventually my LO grew out of them height wise but not width.

Then we used extenders and these are the ones I got : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0014MGAYS

Make sure to try each one - the snaps are different on each panel. One of the panels does work with carter onesies

I don't know the brand, but there is a winter coat that opens up so you can put the car seat restraints underneath. It's awesome. I'll see if I can find a link.

Edit: here is an example of one from Amazon

Amazon has affordable kids clothing in a wide range of sizes for girls: Dress 1, Dress 2, dress 3. You didn't mention the boys outfits so I'm assuming they're acceptable but Amazon does have suits for boys as well. My particular favorite although that one is a bit expensive.

Edit: English is hard and my meds are kicking in.

My son is almost 4 weeks old. We probably go through anywhere between 3-8 outfits a day. But we have TOO many newborn clothes. I kept getting reassured that he'd probably be a small baby (I only gained 15 pounds), so we picked up some more NB sizes. Boy came out 8 lbs 2 oz! There are outfits he never wore. I really wish I had more 3 month sizes because I think they can stretch out for longer periods.

Also, I hate onesies. Dealing with putting anything over his head is a pain in my ass, and makes him fussy. My favorite outfits are the side snapped ones. MORE of those! When he's a newborn and still dealing with his umbilical, I'd really plan on putting him only in those side snap tees. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007C2PZOK/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

He needs something to allow his umbilical cord to breath so it dries out. Onesies are not a good idea that first week.

So whenever you see side snaps, buy them!

Also, footed pajamas. More of those! We probably go through 2 or 3 of those a night. Zippers are easier than snaps with a squirming baby.

Sock ons! We have a pair for every occasion!

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/Parenting

Fill an egg carton with a dozen pairs of baby socks and add in a couple of these. My baby has sooo many outfits but I always feel like I need more socks. Plus the sock-ons are just brilliant.

u/piratesgoyarr · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

How about boots for the baby? I've been cramming his little fat feet into the 0-6 month booties but the next size I have is 12-18, I somehow missed the 6-12!

Edit: the color I linked isn't prime eligible oops! I'll pick a different color. How about grey.

u/Exener · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

To all the sock haters - I hate them too. My mom got us a pair of Zutanos and they are AWESOME. They look so ridiculous but they kept my January baby's feet warm and didn't fall off. He's 3.5 months now and just starting to grow out of them so I ordered more.

u/purrImacatpurpur · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

look at the little baby suit! I love when I see kids in suits... just saying. And I really like the name Brian... but, that doesn't seem like a good name for them. Hmmm.... How about, Aleron?

  1. Okay. I really like the name...Felix. A lot.

  2. I know this is rather...impractical (who would want to put that many clothing items on a baby?!) but still. I mean, there's a bird on his shoulder.
edit: Aha, I see what you mean by this. Then I guess I will link this one as it's in the same vein?

  3. I mean, there's always tasting baby/toddler food and guessing what it's supposed to be (smooshed peas or pureed green beans? etc.)

We bought this! We bought the size up though so we didn’t have to buy it twice. It has a drawstring in the back to tighten and two strings that tie around the neck!

I liked using Gerber diaper covers over a swim diaper when my son was a baby. Kept me from getting peed on while holding him out of the pool (since swim diapers aren’t waterproof) and the elastic on the legs was tighter than our reusable swim diapers so felt like it gave more insurance against poop leaking. Once he was old enough that he didn’t poop without some warning, we just used a reusable, unless the pool required also layering a disposable underneath. https://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Baby-Girls-2-Pack-Waterproof/dp/B00742VTDY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=gerber+diaper+cover&qid=1555426989&s=gateway&sr=8-3

Search for toddler towel cover up on amazon- there’s some really cute stuff!! I might get this one

u/EmpathicAngel · 1 pointr/sewing

This would look really cute with a flat mid piece and shoe string ties on the shoulder. I bet you have so much fun doing this!

Similar to this. But I'd opt for straight across the neck/chest and shoe string ties! And probably keep the bottom the same as you have it. I think the string ties might provide more room and make it easier to get off and on as well.

I'm looking at dresses with cardigans with a pair of shoes on Amazon.
