A Moses basket with a wooden stand might work for your bassinet. Green frog makes solid wood cradles as well.

I've never run across anything like a pack and play that wasn't at least partially plastic but there are a few that are certified non-toxic/free of chemical flame retardants if that's your main concern.

There are also a lot of green guard certified mini cribs, we just got the Davinci Alpha mini which is all wood and will serve as both a bassinet/by our bed sleeper and a crib for as long as we can.

I made this. The dimensions aren’t perfect but might help see a different way. https://imgur.com/a/XHTquaV so just some thoughts. Move things up walls for space. The glass enclosed dresser doesn’t look easily used. Move the desk over into the corner and move the tall dresser were the glass front one is. The chest and case on it are rough and not very functional. I’d get them out at least while figuring everything out. If you can add shelves or cubes above your side table that would add space. They would need to be screwed in. If you can’t then skip that. Hanging laundry baskets or use a shelf with a couple storage bins to toss laundry in. Depending on measurements possibly something like this on the glass front furniture. C&AHOME Cube Storage Organizer, 8- Cube DIY Plastic Closet Cabinet, Modular Book Shelf Organizer Units, Storage Shelving Ideal for Bedroom Living Room Office with Doors, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFHW6LK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_fX7RDbR8FS51M shelves with storage cubes, containers or such is another option. Add shelves above the desk. Again bins, tubs, cubes even paper organizers can be used. Dollar stores can give extra options. Don’t consider things exclusive. I needed a closed container to hold chopsticks. I bought a pasta container. Think about how to move things up. Think about how you like things for ease. I like doors but for example some cubes come with or without drawers. Under the bed- I’d consider it storage. It doesn’t look convenient day to day. Under there you want to put this. DampRid FG60FS Moisture Absorber, Fresh Scent, 10.5-Ounce, 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CBLW1MQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_L37RDb41XX5VS put reminders in your phone and empty it every few days until you know how much water it absorbs. You replace the crystals every so often. Keep it away from pets. Damp rid will grab tons of moisture but while you’re checking everything out make sure you don’t see signs of a pipe leak. Mold, soft walls, moisture and bad smells pay attention to. Other type cube options but not this brand ClosetMaid 8937 Cubeicals Organizer, 9-Cube, Espresso https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UU0NJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_G87RDbVTHK1NV

Whitmor Storage Cubes - Stackable Interlocking Wire Shelves - Black (Set of 6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ELALZC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Y77RDbMDF1414

There’s also things like this if you have space. SIMPDIY Portable Shoe Rack Storage Organizer Shoe Box Storage System with Doors, Shoes,Accessories - Black (2x6 with Boots Cube 93x126x108cm/37x15x50In) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ6K548/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_3-7RDbVY3FSB5

Don’t forget what you choose should work for you. So even something like kids toy storage might work better for some. Like this. Tot Tutors WO498 Elements Collection Wood Toy Storage Organizer, X-Large, Grey/Blue/Green/Yellow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07638ZJQY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_.b8RDb5P0ZMB6 or this Delta Children Deluxe Multi-Bin Toy Organizer with Storage Bins , Grey/Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074PY2ZGS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_Gc8RDb9CTVC9T there’s stuff like this. LANMOK 3pcs Hanging Mesh Storage Basket Foldable Space Saving Toy Organizer with 3pcs S Hooks for Kids Room Bathroom Wall Balcony Wardrobe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9VBKW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_yd8RDbW8NAFWA

Basically storage needs to go up. Bed drawers don’t work in large rooms so use for storage. Put damp rid out. Make sure no leaks. For me the idea is enclosed. Choose what works for you. Don’t forget if the idea of doors on storage cubes don’t work for you that you can use a curtain to cover it if you don’t want others to see. The idea is finding what works for you. If you move things and have a wall space open buy taller items. I’ve been redoing a smaller space so feel free to ask if you need some other suggestions.

Edit another idea is move that wood dresser to the window like in diagram, glass one next to it and cubes where the wood one is now.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for Ramsey. I have 4 caterings on the books this summer, him being able to watch will help keep my sanity. Plus I have every intention of teaching him to cook at every age appropriate level. It's funny, baking gets me so frustrated but I'll happily spend all day on a prime rib. 😂

I'm also a FTM, so can't talk about my experience. But I did get paranoid about this and do a bunch of research and ask moms I trust. For me, I also wouldn't be comfortable with baby in the bed. I have decided on the Pack 'n Play Day2Night so we can use the bassinet portion beside our bed for the first few months, plus we'll have the changing table part. When he outgrows that, he can sleep in the actual play yard or a crib. We plan to get a crib that converts to a toddler bed and full-size so it will last a long time, but we know we will have at least a few months before we need to buy it.

trying to get organized...

Got these bins off Amazon and finally putting them to use! We will see how long this system lasts (lol), but it’s making me feel a little more prepared so it’s worth it! I love that they have a clear slot for a label and they are good quality —>

I have one of these hanging on the side of my headboard

Obviously wouldn’t work for a glass of water but it works for a bottle of water.

Have you looked at Moses Baskets? They're literally hand woven baskets that I'm sure could sit directly on the floor.

u/akpak · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

I was thinking about this one. Yard for downstairs, bassinet for in our bedroom.

First off my son never had a 4 month sleep regression. He slept as you describe until 7 months when nursing to sleep took longer and longer and I trained him to put himself to sleep after his book.

To address your points:

  1. Not really a problem is he's not sucking to sleep. Soon you will want to be brushing his teeth after the bottle though so keep that in mind. Ideally you should be able to just plop him in the crib after his book, but personally I went from nursing to sleep to plopping in one night of 40 minute CIO, so I don't think it's a huge deal.

  2. Moms on call sleep training advocates extinction CIO at 12 weeks, at the same time you drop the swaddle. I'm in the Facebook group and lots of people are successful and happy with this. I'd read the whole method though.

  3. yes I think this is how people do it, but no experience personally.

  4. No, drop the swaddle at the same time. Baby needs to be able to scooch around to find his comfy spot and suck on his hsnds to self soothe.

  5. yep, bye bye paci

  6. I used MOC and Weisssbluth for my kids sleep and both are adamant about the importance of an early bedtime. 8 on is actually a late bedtime past the newborn stage. Weisssbluth recommends enjoying morning time if you get home late, but denying a baby the 11 hour night they need is harmful. He goes into this topic specifically and basically says it's better to see your kid only 2 bedtimes a week than keep them up late so you can see them after work.

As for sharing a room These slumber pods are super popular in the MOC group, throw a sound machine in there and you should be good to enjoy your apartment without disturbing your baby.

I'm looking at getting one of these co-sleepers that fits right up to your bed. It also converts into a crib for later!

We have this, which goes onto your toilet. It does take up some floor space, but it folds up so it's not a ton.

I would suggest one of those hanging stuffie holders maybe? Either the tower ones or the ones that hang in the corner.

In my case, SO much easier.

Here is the one I own. https://www.amazon.com/Skip-Hop-Playard-Expandable-Enclosure/dp/B07L5W4FRB

It is a little pricy, but I can say it was worth it and it is used daily.

You can get plastic modular play area walls, the pieces fasten to each other. Build a little corral for him, and he can do laps all day!

I have one similar to this one. No problems with it. They have cheaper options but I liked how big this is.

Regarding sleeping... the girls have been sleeping together in the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper - although we never ended up using it up against our bed (it just didn't work well for us), so we just have it setup in the corner of our room.

During the day, they sleep in the bouncer and/or the swing. I hardly move them to the crib for naps because I'm just excited that they've fallen asleep!

There are definitely times when they sleep at the same time (like right now - yay!!)... but, it doesn't happen all the time. At this point... during they day, they usually have at least two 2-4 hour blocks of time when they both nap. And overnight, they usually have two 3-4 hour blocks of time when they are both asleep. The first couple weeks they didn't quite understand what night was, lol... and we were feeding on demand because it was really important to get them back up to their birth weight.

It's gotten much better over the past few weeks... it helps to feed them both at the same time - even if that means you're waking one of them up! :o)

I do! I have this organizer in "My room / Layla's nursery" and this lipstick in "Makeup."

Thanks for the contest!

Since you listed a review site claiming the MSRP...Here is a review site claiming the MSRP of the 840 Evo at $190.

The 250GB Evo has never once sold for anywhere near $250. Thats just Samsung raising the supposed list price on their own site.

>The video card on NCIX does not list an MSRP. It lists the regular price that NCIX usually lists it at

So its okay for a company to actually sell a card for well above list price, and have their regular price well above list price, but if A company sells a product for MSRP, but says list price is higher than the initial MSRP(bolded because you for some reason fail to understand that mining drove the prices up on all of these card) then they are way out of line? Please. Thats ridiculous.

And its not like its difficult to find other examples...Here Amazon lists the Arc Midi with a list price of $152.23, which is clearly not even close to the MSRP.
