I don’t drink but my boyfriend used something similar to these when we went to Warped tour and he’s planning on doing it again for the Aftershock festival. If you search “sunscreen alcohol flask” you’ll get a lot of results. It comes with a fake seal to put on it too.

The one he bought leaked but it seems like these ones are good. It’s kinda funny to see somebody drinking out of a sunscreen bottle too lol

u/MS_Farmer · 11 pointsr/whatisthisthing

Looks like a dual dispenser. You turn the bottles upside down and turn the wheels to dispense.

Edit - Here's a different style one

You put bottles of alcoholic beverages upside down in it. Then you place a glass under the black plastic things and push upwards, dispensing yummy drinks. http://www.barproducts.com/media/catalog/product/cache/2/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/f/i/final-touch-6-bottle-dispensing-carousel-bpc-800.jpg

Most flasks are made the same, they are just re-badged chinese made. Stanley makes a pretty sweet one. I have a sterling silver one which was a great investment. They can be had for like $100 and can be sold for the same at any pawn shop in a pinch or traded for a tank of gas etc... Nalgene makes one also that has a shot glass and a cup built in...

Stanley is widely available, no reason to order from inflated shipping scammers.

There's no "bar" just beer kiosks around with like 2-3 draft beer choices.

You can't bring anything in, but that just means you need a flask and $2 for a coke and you're in mixed drink heaven. Security is lax, they'll check bags and that's it. They may have started waving a metal detecting wand, but I really don't think so.

Not suggesting you need these, but I've got them and I've brought them with me to all kinds of events and never even had security give them a first glance, much less a second.

u/Zhonka · 6 pointsr/EDC

I've been using this and have had no issues with it. Would kinda like a bigger neck of the bottle for cleaning but it's nice in the pocket.

I'd search for a Bartenders Kit - something like this - to get a good sense of what equipment you might want for the types of drinks you'll be making. I definitely wouldn't buy one of those kits because they're almost always crap, but just for reference.

Basics that I have in my bar are:

  • mixing tins (I like the full-metal ones, others prefer the Boston Shakers w/ the glass)
  • a stainless bar strainer
  • a layering spoon/tool (yes, I have the turtle)
  • a long cocktail spoon for stirring drinks
  • some cocktail rimmers for rimming margaritas, lemon drops, etc.
  • some jiggers for your higher-end stuff and pour-spouts for the basic stuff
  • and a wine key + decanter + aerator if you're into wine (plus a vacuum pump for bottles you don't finish off right away).

I just included the links for reference - you'll probably want to search a little for the highest-quality tools, because you really don't want flimsy stuff.

For glassware, I like to just pick out unique stuff that I find in my travels, but I have all the basics - rocks glasses, highball glasses, long-stem martini glasses, margarita glasses, pint glasses, Guinness glasses, a couple of snifters, and a Chimay glass.

For the booze it's kind of up to you, but just think about what liquor types a bar has in its speed-well for your base, and then just add higher-end, unique stuff from there. I always have a nice vodka, rum, tequila, gin, bourbon, irish whiskey, cognac, and brandy in the cabinet.

Then I have the popular mixers/liquers - Grand Marnier (skip the Triple Sec and get the good stuff), Bailey's, Kahlua, Amaretto, Limoncello, Frangelico, Chambord, White/Dark Creme de Cacao, Blue Curacao, Sweet/Dry Vermouth, sour mix and simple syrup, soda + tonic, juices, Fireball, various Schnapps, etc.

And then from there I just gradually collect bottles of high-end stuff that will get sipped slowly and dress the bar up a bit. Just picked up a bottle of Kraken that has one of the cooler labels I've ever seen (and tastes pretty damn good, too).

    Have fun!
u/blowjazzle · 6 pointsr/whiskey

I love my Stanley flask, it's not concave which would make it more comfortable to carry in jeans and easy to conceal. But, it's got a wider mouth than others I've had which helps with pouring (and drinking!). Also Stanley thormoses are bad ass! IMHO.

u/PenPenGuin · 5 pointsr/DesignPorn

Riedel makes cleaning beads for use in cleaning many of their decanters. They're little stainless steel balls that you sloosh around the glass to clean. Riedel makes some incredibly thin, delicate, fragile-looking pieces of glass too - I can only assume they tested these beads to be (relatively) safe in their products.

u/urmyfavoritecustomer · 5 pointsr/sanfrancisco

I'll just leave this here

u/vodenii · 5 pointsr/cableporn

My wife gave me these a few years back, they're pretty rad.

These worked all weekend at Bonnaroo. No metal parts and their super easy to just tuck in your waist line.

u/tequilajunction · 4 pointsr/whiskey

I have found bottle cleaning beads do a great job getting the stuff you can't reach at the bottom of a bottle or decanter.

Drop the beads in the bottle, add some soap and water, then swirl it around for a few minutes. Dump everything into a strainer to catch the beads, and then just rinse out the bottle.

u/Arvedude · 4 pointsr/cripplingalcoholism

Flasks are great, but your problem on a trip that won't include many social opportunities for drinking is volume. A flask will not get you through a three day weekend. Pack a handle or two in the suitcase, refill flask as necessary. Invest in some disposable ones so you can just chuck them discretely when you're finished with them. These are the ones I use:

tell oh dude you need to go brush your hair in the loo real quick and pull out your hair brush flask for proof :P
go to the ladies loo and sip, sip, sip....

vodka isn't too strong smell compared to rum, etc. so you could prolly conceal the smell with some body spray & chewing gum

oh and listen to u/moonlightingblue... definitely try your best to not get full blown wasted to where you're not even aware of your surroundings. let your hair down & get a lil tipsy to calm yourself... but always be aware x

In the cold you can sneak anything in, just wear your full outdoor gear bibs, pants, jacket, get all puffy. They won't find a thing. No metal though. If you want a surefire way order plastic bag flasks on Amazon..

u/hwillis · 3 pointsr/robotics

You can use the dispensers from these coupled with servos like this project. You can also use solenoid valves, but be aware they need a minimum head pressure to work.

If I built a machine like this, I wouldn't use valves on the liquid path. I'd use an air pump, preferably peristaltic to pressurize the bottles as needed and use a siphon to dispense liquid. If you use air pressure you will always get a relatively consistent amount of liquid without needing to measure it. The pump gets a very large mechanical advantage due to the area ratio of the siphon and bottle, so the liquid pressure won't change how much air gets pumped in a given amount of time.

If you just use the pressure of the liquid in the bottle, the pouring pressure and therefor flow rate will drop as the bottle empties. You can use a flow rate sensor, but there's no guarantee on food safety.

I guess it depends on your budget, needs, and wants,if you're looking for an end all flask I highly recommend this [titanium flask] (http://www.amazon.com/Vargo-T-447-Titanium-Funnel-Flask/dp/B00NUR3ZE8) it has a funnel attached so it is easy to fill, and it low drama but still nice enough you won't really tire of it, then you have two Stanley flasks [this metal one] (http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Adventure-Stainless-Steel-Flask/dp/B00VRES8NO) and a [plastic one] (http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Adventure-7oz-eCycle-Flask/dp/B00EPW5AMC) both of which you can find at Walmart. Out of the two I would recommend the plastic one due to its cost, the fact you can open the whole thing, and it's just no drama but I love my titanium flask.

u/Collaterlie_Sisters · 2 pointsr/bonnaroo

Also, try these.

u/jleviathon · 2 pointsr/ElectricForest

The alcohol will dry out the seals in the connections. Every time I've put alcohol in a pack it leaks shortly after and if you spent good money on it you'll be upset. My solution since I feel your pain is to get some of these and one of these and just fill the pouches with booze and buy a soda when inside the venue. And BAM! Your very own Jack and coke with no fuss!

u/aurora_borealex · 2 pointsr/aclfestival

My boyfriend and all our guy friends just buy plastic flasks on amazon, fill those up, and hide them in their crotch. Works every time cause the flask is soft so it doesn't feel odd if security feels you up. My friend got caught once because it was sticking up around his belly above his shorts (idiot) and they just made him throw it out. https://www.amazon.com/Concealable-Reusable-Liquor-Pouches-anywhere-travelling/dp/B07HRPRZP7/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=plastic+flasks&qid=1572537670&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNjNRUE5EMEFTTFo0JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjAwNDIwWFZURkdFMlEyWlhXJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA2MjM5ODBVTk5YUTRJTzBHRTMmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

u/rupestrisdulot · 2 pointsr/wine

I have one of these, think we got it as a wedding present. I like it because we tend to drink wines with 5-10 years of bottle age (unlike most people under 35, I actually age my wine) and I don't want them to get as much air. We have a couple others that are more funky shaped, but that's the one I use the most.

But no matter what decanter you get, these cleaning devices are super clutch. Little water, a drop or two of soap and the decanter is clean as a whistle, and you don't have to worry about jamming a dish brush or some other odd object to get the scuzz out.

Also, re: lead - don't worry about it. The amount of time the liquid would have to sit in the decanter to actually get a measurable amount of lead is far longer than it will take you to consume the wine.

What is your price range? I think 5 Yeti coolers would be badass (here). But if that is too expensive, get them some decent knives, like this. Much less expensive, extremely useful, lasts forever. I have my grandfather's that he bought in the 50s. Still fantastic.

Flasks are really good, actually. Get a Stanley flask for everybody (here).

You could also do flashlights, but not everybody would be into that like I would be. Here is my recommendation anyway (here).

I use cruise booze smugglers for oil and alcohol in the backcountry. Held up fine for several week long trips and didn't leak at all. Definitely my preferred method after having both spill out of other containers or get leaky around the opening.

  1. I will need this awesome brush to tame my wild hair and maybe to do something with to the punch...

  2. As I promised, I would pick up /u/Medelle in this car I would drive her to a beautiful picnic spot where we would have an intimate yet innocent picnic where I have set up a candy land buffet. We will feast on candy before heading to the prom. Once at prom we will get our pictures taken and dance a little, but mostly just hang out and chat about geeky stuff. Not sure what will happen next as I will have too much punch to remember but surely medelle can fill you in...

  3. Image pm will be sent within the hour when I finish it.

I got these "Shark Skinz" flasks at BevMo last year- good alternative to the ziploc bag of booze cause you still have a pour spout. They hide easily with no leaks in your backpack or against your skin. I will probably be buying a few more of these for this year.

I have this Stanley flask in black.

I've heard people say that the Stanley products made today are pretty inferior to the older stuff. While some of that may be true, this flask has suited my needs very well. No problems at all.

The thing I love the most about it is it's shape. It's a bit taller and the body is tapered in on the one side, making it slightly triangular. It's the perfect fit for the inside pocket of a jacket or blazer.

u/Lucius_Grammer · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

ok so I can't speak to it's BIFL-nes but my SO just got me this Stanley flask (like the thermos) I've only had it since Xmas but it seems very solid. Just my two cents.

Edit: I did some research on this flask (it was a gift) and it doesnt' sound too good. The walls are kinda thin and could be dented. I guess the rubber gasket(?) can get gummed up if you put anykind of schnapps in there, which could be bad because I put fireball in mine. After a couple of weeks i havn't had a problem yet. . . . yet . . .
