Timex makes some kids watches that help teach them how to tell time, have elastic bands that could never deglove a kid, and they have a bunch of different patterns/colors.

I had one as my first watch about 25 years ago. It was teal and purple and had dinosaurs on the strap.

Found you one of these bad boys

Shoes are really personal -- I prefer shoes by Merrell, but Clarks have been good to me too. I've tried others that have gotten good reviews by people I know (Dansko, Sketchers, Crocs) and they've been horrible for my energy and/or comfort.

For a watch, I recommend (and wear) a child's Timex (like this one, or this one) -- easy to read, a sweep second hand, a stretch band that's easy to wash, and waterproof.

This is has to be the best band I have. Feels great to ware, looks great as well. Matches the watch perfectly.

I was given this at a wedding (groomsmen and ushers were given one).

Amazon.

>The Yo-Kai Watch is a toy variant of the titular watch. There are currently six watch variations in Japan, the original Yokai Watch, Fumika's necklace style Yokai Watch, the Zero-shiki Watch, the Prototype-U, and even newer U1 and U2 watches.

Maybe /u/Valkyrie23223 doesn't know the link but at least he/she has told me where the main problem was. I have already ordered on Amazon an intel Xeon. I couldn't find a "0.4 MHz" clock but I found this (https://www.amazon.es/anal%C3%B3gico-Digital-impermeable-estudiantes-cron%C3%B3grafo/dp/B01I14VTZQ/ref=sr_1_1) SANDASB 0.20 MHz clock which I think will be enough

Perhaps you could learn something from this and be more constructive next time

You mentioned Citizen. There are some nice Eco-Drives that are affordable that I bet your son would like. They're durable and reliable, which is a must for a kid. You know it's going to take a beating.

I don't know anyone that has an Eco-Drive that has anything but glowing things to say about it.

Timex makes a 'My First Timex' watch that might be a good choice:

I'm looking around and finding a few more that fit the bill. For a 12-year-old, it's difficult because most modern watches are huge. I imagine that he wouldn't want a watch over 34mm or so - unless he's a really big 12-year-old.

Seiko makes a very affordable automatic that he may like:

At 37mm or so, it may look huge on him, but that's a lot of watch for less than $60 new.

I hope you find some good stuff in this contest for your boys! I've been there, finding stuff last minute is craziness!

For the 2 year old, I love these:

Superheros dressup

Animal Bowling

Bug Playground

For the 6 year old:

Pokemon Ball Toys

Pokemon watch - my son loved having his own watch!

Mario Game board/pieces - I love this!! <3

If using a silver Hwatch, highly recommend this one, matched the shine and color really well.

Clasp open style took a bit getting used to, but prefer it more now for easier removal.

They show up on eBay from time to time. Set up searches for Robot Watch, Transformers Watch, and Kronoform and you will come across them. The official ones will say Takara and Kronoform on the face of them. The knockoffs usually say Quartz or Robotch on the face of them. They do tend to be pricey but you can sometimes catch a deal on them. I paid $30 for these four which I didn't think was too bad. As far as using them as an actual watch they don't work so well. Of the four I have one up and working but it flickers in and out a bit. I should be able to get the other two working with a little bit of work. But the silver one just completely fell apart when I opened it up.

If you want a watch for your son you might want to go with one of these. It actually looks like it is based off of the vintage watch with some design changes.

LOL If they made this in a 38mm, I'd think about getting it for myself. RIP Stan Lee :(

u/majingrim · 1 pointr/pics

Well, I've only had it a day so far, but the time is still right on. I'm not quite sure what type of metal it's made of. The back says Japan Movement Quartz, and Case Made in China. It doesn't feel like the highest of quality. I've got a Smith & Wesson Titanium watch that my fiance bought for me a few years ago, and it doesn't even come close to that. But for $40 or so, I wouldn't expect it to. It does look quite nice for the price though. The reviewers at Amazon seem to think quite highly of it. It does apparently have a 1 year warranty, but I honestly don't think too much will go wrong as long as it's looked after.
