I tried to mix new and old. I am a sucker for the classics tho. The first three are my top pick in that order the rest are things that I thought where good in any order. I linked the version of each I liked to make it easier to find. Most are streaming on Amazon unlimited or Spotify.

|name|O'Brother|
|about artist|The early birthing pains of O’ Brother saw Michael Martens, Johnny Dang, and his brother Anton Dang joined in making quiet climbs from graceful notes , a struck pose to an older guitar focused indie-rock. But as is the duty of all freshman bands members fade off and new friends, like Tanner Merritt and Aaron Wamack, joined establishing a new vision, and accidentally stumbling into the dark 2009 debut EP The Death of Day. |album|Garden Window|
|track|Lo|
|about track|Lyrics: Lo, my eager eyes will know the truth come the day when it’s pouring from my lifeless mouth Lo, my eager eyes may swear to you that I never meant to shut you out So we could laugh and sit and talk until I wanted to see what sort of knowledge had grown from your forbidden seed All I wanted was a single thought in my head that was mine I tried to change what I’d done; you still decided to leave us here to crook the spines of these wretched bodies Your garden reminds us of our fleeting lives So why did you leave here, why did you leave here? My head is but an image of you So why did you leave here, why did you leave me? To figure this all out So I found my side in the absence of a point-of-view, cause our senseless minds couldn’t hope to know Now I take what’s mine, from the ground that I cultivate And my mouth runs wild cause I want it all|

The way you phrased your question makes me think you're looking for a solo piece so I'd point to The View From Here by Timothy Huang.
Sarah Brightman - A Wintery Symphony has one of the nicest versions of O Holy Night and Father Christmas.
Seems you can hear selections of the songs here http://www.amazon.com/Baker-Street/dp/B000V8FPCY/ref=tmm_other_meta_binding_title_0
(I know, the post is over a month old... but just in case.)

Dammit.. now I have to go fire up my 1776 soundtrack. Yea.. I payed real money for it.
On a more serious note, I think that quote is spot on and catches a subtle but important part of the power of the narrative used by the right to convince people to vote against their own interests. They argue they are maintaining a path to wealth. If you finally do hit on a way to earn lots of money and the government just takes all your income then you won't become rich.. right? They hide behind this argument, but then carve off monopolies for their friends, run up massive debts causing inflation and stealing everyone's money who earns a living or has a savings account, and otherwise create an environment extremely hostile to starting a business and becoming successful.
Back before Reagan, Republicans were actually doing useful things to protect the possibility of becoming rich. Now they're just carving the world up for the wealthy who fund their campaigns while throwing out a constant stream of media smokescreens pretending to do the things that Republican voters want.
You laugh, but my calculus teacher actually made an album called The Sea Of Calculus.
This song is good for parties, for driving, for quietly sobbing into a wineglass... All of it! It's good for life.
Happy Birthday, I hope you have fun tonight!
