/u/walketalke - your four choices for internal 4K RAW below $15K are:
I. [RED Raven Kit (comes w lens, FCPX & everything you need to get started) - $14999.95] (https://www.apple.com/us_smb_78313/shop/product/HK8Q2ZM/A/red-raven-camera-kit-final-cut-pro-x?at=1000l8mT)
II. [Varicam 35 - $14,500 body only (in stock at Adorama - backordered at B&H)] (http://adorama.evyy.net/c/60286/51926/1036?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adorama.com%2Fpcauv35lt1g.html)
This is an amazing low light camera with dual native ISO at 800 and 5000, as seen in these examples from the [Varicam group] (https://vimeo.com/groups/varicam) I moderate over on Vimeo:
by Clint Milby] (https://vimeo.com/groups/varicam/videos/209331821) (1080p)
Sadly, the [viewfinder alone costs $5400] (http://adorama.evyy.net/c/60286/51926/1036?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adorama.com%2Fpcauvcvf10g.html) - so rigging it up would take you well over your $15K budget.
III. [Canon C200 - $5999 body only (but it isn't shipping yet)] (http://adorama.evyy.net/c/60286/51926/1036?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.adorama.com%2Fcac200b.html)
IV. [URSA Mini Pro - $5995 body only] (https://www.amazon.com/Blackmagic-Design-Camera-External-Controls/dp/B06XDKHT3C//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) (there are lower-end URSAs that can record 4K RAW internally, but they all have usability and/or image quality challenges)
You'll also need a [$1495 URSA Mini Viewfinder] (https://www.amazon.com/Blackmagic-Design-Viewfinder-Compatible-Display/dp/B00WRB14EQ//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20), a [$362.80 CAME-TV Shoulder Kit] (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575034783&toolid=10001&campid=5337235943&customid=&icep_item=112470092157&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg), a [$269 battery & plate] (https://www.amazon.com/Juicebox-Complete-Battery-Blackmagic-Ursa/dp/B01BG0M4EC//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20) plus a high quality lens - perhaps a [$3999 Sigma 18-35mm T2 Cine High-Speed Zoom Lens for Canon EF mount] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072W8D4XP/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20). [Here] (https://vimeo.com/210359750) is a 4K Vimeo example shot with an URSA Mini 4.6K and the Sigma 18-35mm Cine.
With the CAME-TV shoulder kit, the camera will be ready for the field (as pictured [here] (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PFMPGX9nQtg/maxresdefault.jpg) and reviewed [here] (https://youtu.be/PFMPGX9nQtg)).
Here is the more general image quality this camera can produce:
Corporate Promos
Travel/Nature
Narrative
Documentary
Event
Interview
In my view, with 4.6K resolution, 15 stops of dynamic range, built-in XLRs, ND filters, internal RAW plus 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes recording, the URSA Mini Pro is the best value for money 4K RAW cinema camera in this price range.
Hope this is helpful and good luck finding the right camera for your needs!
I bought this Powerextra brand and it seems to have more stamina than the OEM batteries. Either way, definitely worth the price.
Link to where you purchased the batteries please.
Edit: Found them here
It is a meme sadly(serious)
These batteries seem to be a ripoff scam aimed at professionals who don't understand electricity.
AFIAK this is the battery ice is using https://www.amazon.com/Anton-Bauer-CINE-90-Stabilizer/dp/B01D408OHI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1497669279&sr=8-8&keywords=anton+bauer
90wh at 14.4v but what does this mean? Well when you calculate it only equals out to 6250mah. People who know batteries know this is not a lot and the 10 hour figure seems reasonable.
I am assuming you want the dual charger, which is why you are planning to go with the $22 Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack). But, if you need a 4-pack Wasabi Batteries($27) here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-Battery-AHDBT-401-4-Pack/dp/B012E9F220
I got the camera in a flash sale on Amazon which came with accessories.

Not the best reviews but this adds 4 hours to the Go Pro:

Also my first Coachella with my Hero 6!
I'm outfitting my Hero 6 with a 128GB Samsung MicroSD card.
For power, I'm bringing in two precharged spare batteries for a total of 3 batteries.
For my grip, I'm bringing in the handler as my grip. I thought about the Karma grip but it's kinda expensive and won't last the whole day in the fest; I also don't know how I would store it. What's important here is that you can't bring a grip that extends like a selfie-stick, those are banned from the grounds. If you have a hard time, kindly explain to the security guard that the grip doesn't extend and is fixed at 6-inches. I had a friend go to W1 last year with a Karma grip and she just explained that it didn't extend so she was good.
Since I'm bringing in a CamelBak, I wanted somewhere to place the GoPro when it's not on the grip and without having to worry about pickpocketers. I tried out several backpack clips like this one or this one but I essentially decided that I wanted to make sure it would quick-release to the grip for easy transitions. The clip that did have that feature broke pretty quickly so I'm going to try out this one and give it a shot with some velcro. It seems pretty sturdy. To get the camera fully upright, you're going to need a j-hook mount or a raised mount like the one included in the official mount set.
The alternative to any backpack solution is just unclip the GoPro into a fanny pack or a front pocket for safe keeping and store the grip into a backpack.
When all else fails, bring a USB battery and an extra cord - then your limiting factor will be how many memory cards you have.
I've got a battery backpack for my GoPro, this one:
Newmowa 2500mAh Power Battery Bacpac for Gopro Hero4,Hero3,Hero2 and Waterproof Backdoor Case and Standard Backdoor Case for Gopro Hero4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016EJMAIK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_lQI0xbBQ9PX67
This one is half the size (and half capacity though)
Wasabi Power Extended Battery compatible with GoPro HERO4, HERO3+, HERO3 (with Backdoors) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TP0TF0W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_pPI0xb6HNMBJ1
When I did my bear mountain solo century, combined with the internal GoPro battery they lasted more than four hours together. Then when they ran out I switched the GoPro battery and plugged the battery backup into a USB charger in my jersey pocket. You could still use a USB charger without the battery backup, you'd just need to unplug your mic.
Speaking of which, what mic do you use?! You didn't respond to my YouTube question. And we should totally ride together Saturday. I'm doing 100 miles. No dogs though, way too long a ride to bring any.
ORBMART Extended Battery for GoPro 5,GoPro 6, Extra Battery with Shockproof Protective Frame, Housing Case with Side Power Bank for GoPro Here 5 Hero 6 Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073CFB58D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UvvRCbT6B38PM
Oh nice! That's pretty sweet. Hopefully it's reliable. I think I might as well go with this battery then. I wonder if I should try to get the Hero 3 instead of the newer ones. I also found this thing: http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Extended-Backdoor-Housings-GP-KPHA/dp/B0165NL0CW
Ordered a lot of new gear for the studio, but I'll just add everything I ordered to get the camera ready to go.
For lenses I'm using ones I've already had (Canon 17-35mm 2.8/Canon 85mm 1.8/Canon 70-200mm 2.8) I'm still looking for a 50mm that I'd like to stick with.

CAMTREE Hunt Professional Shoulder Mount Cage Kit for Blackmagic URSA Mini
Not sure if I would recommend the shoulder mount. The cage doesn't seem to sit very snug against the body. I'm still configuring though.
They trap some heat. I don't do it often.
Yeah the L116T is the easiest to find and priced great. It is probably way fancier than you need. (ramping, adjustable color temperature, high CRI)
The batteries are based on the Sony NP series. These for example. The 5200mAh version has 4 internal cells. Some also come with chargers. The chargers will work with both the 2 cell and 4 cell versions.
You can also make your own holder if you are comfortable with soldering.
I have a camera, but it's fairly old at this point and I was told that for my purposes (video), my phone would be good enough. My biggest problem in videos always seems to stem from lighting, so I was looking to sing $60 into getting a CLAR Slim Series Bi-Color 144 SMD ($29 on Adorama) and these batteries ($28)
Does that make sense? Should my money be better spent elsewhere?
Just get the 2-pin power connector that BM is selling and solder it to a 12V NP-F battery plate. It's the cheapest solution.
Link to the connector, scroll to the very bottom.
