When I camp I love to use one of the UCO Candle lanterns ( https://www.amazon.com/UCO-Anodized-Original-Lantern-Black/dp/B006WG9YEE/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1486953734&sr=8-9&keywords=candle+lantern) usually i also have the optional lamp-shade like reflector with it to shine down on a table (https://www.amazon.com/UCO-Pac-Flat-Reflector-Original-Lantern/dp/B000GBLPDE/ref=pd_bxgy_468_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=9FVV91XZWN2EXYXGX00Z) - might be something that fits the mood you want to set.
Both you can make them out of chicken wire or

You can DIY this with METAL screen. No fiberglass, no anything else. metal only. I bought mine on amazon, likely this one.
You'll need about 3,000 volts to generate a spark like that. It's very low power, similar to static electricity (high voltage but low current), so you can use very small wires, as long as the insulation is rated for that sort of voltage.
To make a long story short, if you have to ask these questions, you're probably not going to be building your own. Use a piezoelectric element out of a grill lighter if you want a simple solution (bonus: no batteries!).
I recently saw a very ingenious solution using one of these flint lighters bolted through the pipe. It's very reliable and doesn't need batteries or wiring. You just spin it and get a shower of sparks. You can buy them at any sporting goods store with propane lanterns.
I checked around on ebay only saw one "G-works" for $27 that was exactly like the one shown.

There are others results that show a different model like this one

That says it's the same weight, but is shaped different to the one above.
There's a similar one on Amazon, almost the same price if you have Prime.

He mentions the older Kovea adapter

It was a Lightning deal earlier in the week for $17 or so, and there was a massdrop several months ago for about the same price. I picked up a couple, figured I'd try them out car camping, but haven't really used them yet.
The G-Works adapter looks pretty nice. If I'm carrying around 1LB tanks I'm not too concerned with the weight of the adapter, so I don't think I'm going to upgrade.
I dont know, I am avid camper and I plan on buying these items that I found on the site:

http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-2000000706-Lantern-Hanger/dp/B0009PUTJI
Sounds....explosive
But they do have these on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-camping-Propane-Lindal-Output/dp/B00U776PXM
I found this adapter on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/G-WORKS-Adapter-camping-Propane-Lindal/dp/B00U776PXM, which is exactly what I'm looking for but the other way around.
