Search Amazon for Middle Eastern, Asian, and North African-inspired fashion. I'm going with these Buttonless cardigans: 1,
2, a v-neck t-shirt, harem pants, a tactical belt, a scarf and a pair of boots.

Shirt and pants go on first, then boots and the hoodless cardigan. Then I tie the scarf around my waist to hold the cardigan closed and don the belt over it. Hooded cardigan goes on last.

The outfit has a Jedi-esque look blended with a Batuu vibe.

You can never go wrong with a nice cardigan sweater

Your style reminds me a lot of my style, albeit with fewer buttonup shirts. You're speaking my language!

It looks like you've already gotten a lot of great advice on fit, so I won't waste time beating a dead horse (save to say that checking that your butt looks good, which is a gender-neutral value judgment, is the quickest way to tell whether pants are going to work for you). However, I do want to second the sentiment that a belt would be a great quick way to step it up a notch! I buy men's belts at Target - they're pretty cheap and come in a range of no-judgment sizes.

I am also a fan of blazers but they're a bit much for my current workplace. Have you considered cardigans for layering? I dig the drapey style but you may also like bulkier grandpa knits.

(Also: Don't let anyone tell you you need a purse or a skirt to dress well! Rock that androgyny!)

Ah sorry, it was Match brand. It's a decent price and the quality is good. It's not a traditional cardigan but I like the style and it is really comfortable. I've only recently gotten into MFA but started building a wardrobe around a year or so ago.

On mobile, sorry if the link is wonky.

It's hard to find the exact same item, but I can give you an idea of what to look for so that you can explore your options.

The item can be described as something along the lines of "shawl-collar crossed cable-knit cardigan sweater," in this case bluish-grey. Here's a close but sold out one from Ralph Lauren, and another link via eBay and another via Asos.

Here's an off-white one by Tasso Elba via Macy's.

Here's a dark blue J.Crew cardigan without the thick knit pattern but with a nice texture.

Here's another currently unavailable cable-knit cardigan, via Asos.

Here's a nice cable knit inspiration album.

Here's one thru Amazon.

Here's a $60 dollar navy blue option from Old Navy.

And here's a $130 "ribbed" charcoal one from Banana Republic.

Some keywords to play around with:

  • cardigan
  • sweater
  • Aran cardigan/sweater

  • cable-knit
  • cross(ed) cable-knit
  • thick cable-knit
  • chunky cable-knit

  • shawl collar
  • cowl

    Good luck! Hope this helped.

EDIT: Sorry, AutoMod made me resubmit this comment after editing some URLs, so now I think some of the links may be broken.

    EDIT 2: Added a keyword.

Looking for a better quality alternative to this

https://www.amazon.ca/Carisma-Mens-sweater-7013-darkgray/dp/B015PNE84A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1521845563&sr=8-2&keywords=carisma

The things I like about it are it's knit, the hood, and the soft fluffy lining.

I can take or leave buttons vs a zip

what cardigan did you get? not seeing it. don't let the quarter zip crew see but I like cardigans too and I'm in the market. target's Goodfellow brand is actually pretty solid too.

e was it this?

Was looking at this, saw an $89 cardigan from Musterbrand and it’s suddenly $8.90 from a seller with one 3 star review saying “haven’t received item 10/17/17”
Part of me wants to spend $9 in case of a pricing error but also they could just steal my info. I’ll abstain but it’s weird how many times I’ve seen this.

Similar situation with cardigans, I picked up a black one to try with button-ups and I think I don’t have quite a masculine enough frame for it to not come off... I don’t know. It just didn’t suit me. Specifically I was going with this one with a white shirt. It was kind of a decent nerdy vibe when I went wore it with a tie but still felt too feminine.

Not exact same, but similar

I searched “long grey men’s cardigan”

Where can i find hip asian style clothing that doesn't have shitty quality? Brands, online store recommendations would be helpful.

I really like the look and cut of a lot of hip clothing from asian countries that I see while browsing amazon, but I am almost always burned when I get the item and the fabric is a terrible synthetic or not really what was pictured. Are there any brands or online stores that have these types of styles but actually have quality goods?

Looking for something like this cardigan I'm trying to find for a thicker sweater that is built to last and can be an outer layer in the fall or layered up in the winter. I definitely dig Orvis but don't want to spend more than $50-75 if I can avoid it.
