Which isn't an officially authorized Muse product.

The only CD (as far as I know of) it appears on with permission is this one.

I bought the CD used a couple years ago just to get the song. Spent about $3.50 total. Nothing else much to shout about on that compilation though.

Best of Kid Rock

The Best of Madonna was hard to find but I found Madonna's Immaculate Collection.

Are we talking about Jock Jams Volume 1 or something that sounded cooler to me - The Ultimate Stadium Organ Jock Jam Collection?

Now buy your damn albums.

Not anywhere I know of because they gave the rights of the song to another group called Embrace. Here's the music video for it. You can buy their song on Amazon and most other popular stores I'm assuming.

EDIT: I'M A BIG FAT PHONY. HERE YOU GO.

Also, if you want to get it from iTunes, you need to use a VPN service to an Australian server, then connect to the Australian iTunes Store. The Australian Talk single has the 2 B-Sides 'Sleeping Sun' and 'Gravity'.

The CD single is your best bet. Pick up a used copy for a penny on Amazon:

  • Tranceport - Paul Oakenfold

  • Most of the Euphoria series of compilations

Trance was a big thing before the vocals became a part of it (even subtle ones>) The stuf from '96-2000 was some of my favorite Trance ever produced. That being said, it's grown and evolved from there while not abandoning the foundation entirely.

I actually feel that it's possible to enjoy Tranceport (and similar mix albums from that 5-year span) as much as some of the weekly broadcasts today.

I have recently been getting into collecting vinyl albums and have been looking around for Outrun style albums as well since I love both the music and the album art. What I've managed to find is;

Kavinsky - Outrun and Nightcall on Amazon

You can find Gost and Pertubator on Blood Music's website

Magic Sword (if you consider that OutRun type music) is on their own website

Those are the only ones I have personally purchased.

As for everything else the BEST site to search and purchase Outrun releases is not Soundcloud but Discogs.com as it lists if they've released Vinyl pressings and makes purchasing them super easy if they're for sale (way better experience than eBay for example). Additionally there's Amazon and the artists Label I always check first.

Many of the compilations like Magnatron are for sale on various websites but with crazy high price tags.

Amazon also has all Daft Punk's stuff including the more OutRun style Tron Soundtrack (albeit pricey)

Miami Nights 1984 is 'looking into' physical releases of his stuff

John Carpenter's Lost Themes I and II are easy to find on Amazon

Carpenter Brut released Trilogy a while back but copies are still fairly expensive

The Hotline Miami 2 Soundtrack had a limited pressing as well

GUNSHIP is taking preorders for a pressing of their self-titled album

Power Glove's EP's are fairly cheap and easy to locate but
Power Glove's Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Soundtrack is easy to find but very pricey.

College has a few LPs and EPs for sale as well

I also wish Dance with the Dead would get a physical release asap.

These are what I have / am looking to purchase in the very near future. There's many others with LPs and EPs pressed to vinyl, some easy to find, some not so easy. Also I know some of those I listed may not be 'Outrun' but they fall into the category of something I imagine someone who enjoys Outrun music would likely enjoy.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

So, what, we just throw down our wishlist here? I'm cool with that.

If you're a fan of The Island, make sure you listen to the remixes. The Witchcraft remixes are great, too.

u/DigitalChocobo · 1 pointr/tipofmytongue

When you say it's in the same vein as "Whoomp! There it Is", that makes me think of Jock Jams. Is it the sort of song that they would play for 30 seconds or so at a basketball game?

u/unreasonably_sensual · 1 pointr/Music

Here you go. I find that this album is always great for social gatherings, if for no other reason than the nostalgic/laugh factor.

u/zman0728 · 1 pointr/hardstyle

>I grew up listening to old school stuff like this.

Holy shit, are you me? My dad bought awhile back (late 90s - early 00s, can't remember the exact year) two of these Pulse CDs off of some late-night infomercial. We would listen to these on long car trips to the mountains, and I'm guessing that this helped open me up to hardstyle/trance much later on.

An oldie but a goodie, always gets me in the mood to concentrate: Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport
