I LOVE the soundtrack for Everything is Illuminated. The movie is pretty good, but the music is fantastic. Really unique.

Me too, and I already have it on Vinyl.

I have all 4 of their albums on vinyl. It's never been rare.

Hell, my Evil Empire disc I bought in High school and still has it's Hot Topic Stickers on the wrap.

Re-press Daemon Days of Gorillaz self titled album if you want me excited.

Edit: (which also seems to be repressed and cheaper then before)

D.R.A.M Broccoli RSD: For 11 dollars.

Blink 182 remix for half your price direct from store

Asap Rocky for 10 dollars less brand new

Gorillaz - Gorillaz BRAND NEW for half your price

Steve Aoki - Neon DIRECT from his store for 40 instead of the 100+ you charging?!?!?

House of ballons for 12 dollars less still sealed

Same for house of silence?

Don't even get me started on the 40 to 50 dollar VMP issues you have listed which are still in the store. Or the even funnier one but 25 dollars for hotel California???

Honestly, I understand you went from Discogs prices but for some of these they have not even sold out in store yet and you are listing it for whatever anyone on Discogs has. Also, a lot of these you did not state the pressings like why is the Led Zeppelin IV LP listed so expensive? Or why beastie boys record is 50$?

No one will give you the same price as a new record because they are "almost new" or "only played once"it is just not the way things work. Not trying to be a dick but help you out for a future post so you don't get called out like people here did to you.

because their music at the time became the icon for a global shift in culture that we now experience today. its sometimes hard to singularly appreciate something that so eloquently expressed a generation when we live in a world dominated by the likes of the http://hypem.com/ .

I recommend their documentary Meeting People Is Easy http://www.amazon.com/Radiohead-Meeting-People-Thom-Yorke/dp/B00000IPG9 if you truly want to settle your apparent radiohead guilt.

This sort of thing kind of exists. When my friend informed me that she was going to New York for Comic Con, I gave her $40 for her to find me something awesome to buy. She came across the boxed soundtracks from Halo 1 - 2 (both volumes) with the Halo Wars soundtrack DVD bundled in. I still have it, shrink wrapped and all.

I was going to say, it looks like a "Leningrad" music video. I was introduced to their music on the soundtrack for "Everything is Illuminated. I had no idea they were filthy.

After being a fan of Tolkien since age twelve and owning the soundtracks of all the LOTR films and Unexpected Journey I only recently discovered The Lord of the Rings: The Complete Recordings. The Fellowship album has an entire track of the Elves singing A Elbereth Gilthoniel. What more can I say??

I love jazz although I rarely listen to it anymore. A little Thelonious Monk was always a nice listen. It's not my go to music though.

I'd love the bangerz album by Miley cyrus if I win. I know she's a hot mess but I enjoy some of her music.

The far left are the movie scores:

What makes these particularly awesome is the included DVD audio version with 5.1 surround sound mixes.

I seem to come back to "David Gilmour in Concert - Live at Robert Wyatt's Meltdown (2002)" a lot.

Here is "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" cut together from that show.

Might you mean something like this? If so, there's one for every movie in the original trilogy (I haven't looked for any Hobbit version). They're also on Spotify.

u/pgoetz · 1 pointr/Music

Leningrad is awesome. Check them out on the soundtrack for the movie Everything is Illuminated

Edit: soundtrack includes a nice selection (including Gogol Bordello) of music from this genre

u/DividedSky311 · 1 pointr/pics

There's this, but it doesn't show anything about the intro to Money. They show how they do On the Run and it's actually really disappointing when you see how simple it really is.
