Just listen to the Shaolin Soul albums, they're great and have lots of Wu-Tang samples.

What the hell, it doesn't seem to be available any more.

This is it, but it's out-of-stock.

I got it from CD Baby (years ago), but the website has since updated and the search field yielded no results. You can YouTube him and catch some (but not all) of his songs there.

This seems to be his official website, lots of great stories about him in the guestbook, but it might hit you in the feels: http://rogerridleybluesman.com/home.html

I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe try contacting 'Playing For Change' to see if they can get you in-touch with his family to update the website or something.

Sorry I can't help you out more.

EDIT: man, now I'm watching his video and the part at 1:30 kills me, his little: "Thank you!" And smile to the wee child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es3Vsfzdr14

God bless Roger.

You missed my 4 favorites. I saw these through Netflix's DVD mail rental setup. Last check, they were still available.

Look up "Tom Dowd & The Language of Music". He was the primary engineer and producer for Atlantic Records starting in the '50s, going from Charlie Parker, The Coasters, Cream, Ray Charles, Allman Bros, and so many more. He did the freakin' "Layla" sessions for crying out loud. http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2751332633
Plus, he was involved in "The Manhattan Project" (the bomb, not the band) as a nuclear physicist.

Also, along the same lines, "The Atlantic Records Story-The House That Ahmet Built"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0321315/?ref_=nv_sr_2

And, about another independent label that did OK, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown", about The Funk Brothers, the main house band on all of the early Detroit based Motown tunes. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314725/?ref_=nv_sr_1

"Respect Yourself: The Stax Records Story" is fascinating, with Booker T & the MG's as the house band, Otis Redding, Irma Thomas, and The Staple Singers as artists. It's about the rise and fall of an incredible group, in a moment in time. https://www.amazon.com/Respect-Yourself-Stax-Records-Story/dp/B000UD2K32

Hahaha

I just got reminded of the scene in Undercover Brother where NPH says, "I like Will Smith. He raps happy".

Just don't forget about Lost and Found where he tried to have his gangster album. OH GOD! Why do I know this information?
