Also, try to get your hands on a copy of Michael Parenti's Democracy for the Few at your local used bookseller. -- assuming you've already read Zinn's "A People's History of the United States."

I confess, I actually read the whole article, and all the supporting materials.

The article points the finger at Lewis F Powell, Jr., through an article by Anna Victoria as explained further in Christopher Newfield’s book, Unmaking the Public University. This was done "by increased lobbying and pressure on legislators to change their priorities."

Can you show me how corporations support colleges and universities? Before you comment, please read the part in the article "Step Four: You move in corporate culture and corporate money" and attack the ideas there.

The book "Kiss Daddy Goodnight" by Louise Armstrong was pretty chilling. From an amazon review:

>This was the first mainstream U.S. book to address the issue of incest. It's highly accessible but deeply disturbing, filled with tragic, individual stories of assaults, mostly by fathers and perpetrated upon daughters.

The stories are described in detail. It's pretty fucked up.
