I'm a HUGE (no pun intended) fan of the Panache Sports Bra. I'm a 38FF and wear the non-wired version, and find it contains and supports the girls quite well!

u/Was_Egg_Now_Girl · 30 pointsr/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

Here you go! It's literally the first thing that comes up when you search "skirt" so I'm guessing that is why a lot of us get it

u/Ghigs · 25 pointsr/NoStupidQuestions

Heh, well... you could wear pasties.

https://www.amazon.com/Pasties-Reusable-Silicone-Pinky-Petals/dp/B013VZ27QK

You'd probably need to shave off all the hair though.

u/imabratinfluence · 14 pointsr/bigboobproblems

If you don't want to squash them, avoid "compression bras" and look for "encapsulation bras." Encapsulation bras will have separate cups, like this Freya Active, Panache Sport, and Panache Sport Non-wired.

Hi Lindy! I'm a first-time poster to this group because I don't normally feel I have anything to contribute, but I am a new mommy so I know a bit about nursing bras, which some people wear during pregnancy, although I personally preferred to just wear a regular bra in a larger size during pregnancy. Your rib cage, and, therefore, band size, will continue to expand as you progress through your pregnancy so I wouldn't put too much money into bras right now because you'll likely outgrow them. I'm a 36H while breastfeeding so I have a different build than you, but here are a few of recommendations based on my experience:

Supportive, going out of the house bra: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011MUJUW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Comfy bra for being at home or that you can wear out of the house if you don't need much support http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BKT31FG/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you plan to pump breastmilk, get yourself a pumping bra. They look crazy, but it's really nice to be able to do hands-free pumping. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002968T5G/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I hope that helps, and congrats on the baby!

u/Varjack · 9 pointsr/beyondthebump

If you have a little extra money, surprise her with a pump bra. It totally frees up your hands.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004S8MGGQ/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_qZKPyb8748841

There are cheaper ones, but this one works really well.

u/cealion · 9 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I would actually forgo the bra for silicone pasties. They're reusable and work really well for times you can't wear a bra.

As for what you can wear under, perhaps a nude tank top? It might be better to layer over, to by honest--especially if it's something skintight.

u/toramimi · 9 pointsr/feminineboys

I've been through these cycles of binge and purge so many times over the past twenty years, I can't even possibly imagine how many thousands of dollars of absolutely adorable clothes and accessories I've throw out in shame, only to regret it later. I think I'm finally past that, and while I can't necessarily help you get to that place, can't help you work through the associated cognitive dissonance and cultural pressures, I can maybe at least help you rebuild.

Panties are where I always start back off. Simple, plain, cotton panties. Fruit of the Loom, Hanes, whatever, something cotton and with a gusset. I've become partial to Fruit of the Loom Heathers, both in bikini and hipster varieties. I've tried all variety of novelty, skimpy, silky, frilly, and the tried and true panties that make me feel the most feminine, that I'm actually willing to wear day in and day out are simple and breathable. I've recently given Amazon Essentials a try, fully expecting the worst. I was prepared for them to be the sheisty garbage you'd get eBaying from China, poor stitching and loose threads and you wash it once and it falls apart. Not so! Though not as fantastic as Fruit of the Loom Heathers, I'm enjoying the Cotton Stretch Bikini and Cotton Stretch Thong varieties.

From there, no feminine boy is complete without a pair of shimapan! And naturally from there, you'll need to pair them with appropriate stockings!

Of course, one of my favorite things in the world after panties and stockings are skirts! I was just talking to somebody elsewhere on reddit today here, I'm currently wearing the shorter version of that specific skirt. Go long, go short, either way the material is thick and flowy, perfect for going spinny!

I'm also partial to spaghetti straps, and these are my daily drivers. The color set that I have isn't there anymore, but those are all great too!

The next part requires bravery. I have gone thrifting at Goodwill for skirts and tops exactly once, just a couple of months ago. And while I found a haul and was extremely proud of myself, it took all the psyching up in the world to be able to just go and do it. I got a few looks but nobody said anything to me and I powered through. I want to go again, I will go again, but wow that's going to be another brave journey to work up to.

Nail polish I pick up at Big Lots, usually for about $2 per bottle, nail polish remover too. I get all sorts of stuff there anyway so one or two feminine makeup items never raised any eyebrows. I've been shopping there for years so I figure most of the employees get who I am but not a one has ever given me a single bit of grief over it. You can tell from my personality, from how I walk and talk and present myself - it's not the biggest secret in the world, but holy fuck it's scary sometimes just being open with other people face to face. I'm not big on makeup outside of nail polish, that is to say I'm not very experienced, so the $1 and $2 brushes, mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner I pick up there do just fine for me. I imagine if I were more experienced or more than a basic bitch I'd be appalled at the quality therein, but I have the bliss of ignorance right now!

I wish I could be more helpful addressing the underlying problem, the shame and cognitive dissonance, the need to hide and the desire to do away with your secrets in order to feel safe and clean. It took me twenty+ years to be even a little ok with myself, to accept myself for who I am, to finally be past purging all my cute and feminine things, so I absolutely get it. Wishing you the best, the strength and resilience to be who you are, to not have to change to satisfy any outside ego structures, to enjoy what you do, and to recognize your inalienable right to look like on the outside how you feel like on the inside. It's a path, a journey, a long hard road that's tough to walk alone. The only thing you can ask of yourself is to do your best, to be the most genuine you that you can possibly be!

u/unicornwhiskers · 8 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Do what you gotta do! Clothes are clothes. Other people have made good suggestions. If it's just your nipples that are causing the discomfort, they make a variety of nipple petal thingies like this. They'd be a lot more discreet than a bra and would probably help stop the friction of rubbing against your clothes. (At least I'd think so, I've never really worn them because my boobs need way more support.)

Are your parents aware that you are on the spectrum? Do you see a counselor or therapist? I think that if you explained to them that you are wearing booby things for sensory reasons, they would be open minded, but I'm not sure what your parents are like. Good luck!

u/tiny_jules · 8 pointsr/ABraThatFits

For blouses that are particularly thin/shear, I like to add a lightweight camisole. (Personally love the airism ones from Uniqlo) If I'm not wearing a camisole but am otherwise nervous about my nipples showing, I'll use [these bad boys] (https://www.amazon.com/Nippies-ORIGINAL-Hypoallergenic-Pasties-ADHESIVE/dp/B00CX547FE/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1502732956&sr=1-2&nodeID=1040660&psd=1&keywords=nipple+petals) which are pretty awesome.

u/Riothegod1 · 8 pointsr/ABraThatFits

What she’s talking about are breast forms, like this (NSFW Amazon link because nipples). Typically used by either mastectomy patients and MTF crossdressers, so they should be very helpful to you.

Also, check out r/feminineboys and r/crossdressing, they should be able to help because there are plenty of guys who want to wear dresses but are flat chested

Hope you’re able to feel pretty :)

Mine is the Natori Feathers. So comfortable. I wore it while I was pregnant and a size 32DDD(shallow) and then after for a little when I was nursing. Then my boobs and body shrank and I had to get rid of it. :(

I should get another one...

u/TooManyElizabeths · 8 pointsr/InfertilityBabies

Oh man, this post is like my jam. I'm currently tandem feeding twins and supplemented at the start. I did not have PCOS, so I did not have that barrier to overcome. Here's what I did:

Bring to hospital: hands free pumping bra, angled flanges, hot packs, lanolin(at first, I liked the medela lanolin better since it spread a lot easier, but now I like the lasinoh lanolin ointment more. I'd buy both, and apply after every feed/pump)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004S8MGGQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085CBA90/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Day 1 - breastfeed baby as often as they want, but at least every 3 hours. This is your time to be working on latching and such. After each feed, you need to hook yourself up to the pump using your fancy new angled flanges(more comfortable, and allow you to recline while pumping - your back will KILL if you are trying to slightly lean forward all the time while pumping) and pumping bra(you do not want to sit int he hospital and be pumping for 10-15 minutes and have to hold the stupid flanges up yourself). As someone who worked NICU, has used both the spectra and the medela symphony, you'll want to go for the symphony at this point. Colostrum is thicker than normal milk - the spectra I don't think would draw the colostrum down as well as it does regular milk, so that is why I'd use the medela until your milk has come in, and for about a week or two after. When you are pumping, you should throw the hot packs towards your boobs and be massaging down towards the nipple.

The reason you are pumping at least every 3 is chances are your kid either has a crappy latch or not a strong suck, and both of those things are not going to stimulate your supply to come in the way you want it to. Not a lot of kids come out into the world and both latch strongly and suck and swallow to adequately and easily drain the boob, and that needs to happen.

For bottle feeding - the hospital we were at gave Similac Supplementation, and we used that until we were off formula. We used it with the hospital Similac slow flow nipple that screwed onto the ready feed bottle, and then used Dr Brown premie nipples at home. So, the shape of the nipple you use for bottle feeding isn't actually that important in my opinion. I'd say the bigger thing would be flow - definitely want slow flow/premie nipple in whatever brand you pick, and then technique. For technique, do not put the baby in your arms cradling them and then point the nipple at the back of their mouth like you are the virgin mary feeding the baby jesus. Instead, put them in an elevated sidelying position, and then angle the nipple sort of towards the top of their head. Basically, you're trying to mimic the boob nipple position with the bottle nipple position, and by having them sidelying you're also mimicking how they breastfeed.

We did 15 mls of formula starting around 24 hours of life after each breastfeeding attempt. This gradually did increase to an ounce. I had enough supply in by day 6 or 7 to stop supplementing with formula after each feed(I still pumped after each feed for breastmilk). I stopped supplementing altogether around a week and a half, but continued pumping so my husband could give a bottle a night while I slept for a couple hours.

Which actually, that's another part of this everyone overlooks. There is this oh poo poo new mothers shouldn't be sleeping and need to be awake every hour to feed/pump/whatever. You should do this for the first couple of days, but honestly, for your sanity, you need to pick a 3-4 hour block of your life to be uninterrupted and unconscious and have someone else feed and care for the baby. If you are in the throws of breastfeed/supplement/pump, you're not getting a lot of sleep, and are going to need a window somewhere to actually sleep. 3-4 hours sounds like nothing now, but when you are consistently getting 20-30 minutes, it's life changing.

On a random note, I saw from comments you want to use the Spectra S2 - I strongly believe in angled flanges, so here's the adapter to go from medela to Spectra so you can continue to use angled flanges.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DGEDVUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When it comes to formula, I'd keep a couple things in mind. Your baby literally has NO taste experiences in their life(other than amniotic fluid). Therefore, breastmilk and formula will be all they know. Think of it like the kid with food allergies - you taste their allergen free brownie and think it's disgusting but they love it because they don't know any better. We switched formula on kids fairly often in the NICU for various reasons, and typically we had babies be fussy for a feed or two and then settle into the new stuff if they were going to fuss at all over the change. Therefore, I'd use whatever they give you, but have a box of formula at home that is unopened and returnable.

I can't get enough of these. They're soooo comfy and give room as the bump grows bigger.

I've tried double-sided fashion tape as well. it works, but the sock glue seems to work better for me, maybe because there's wider surface area for adhesive. I use the sock glue that sockdreams sells. I suspect it expires, because one of my friends had an old bottle and it doesn't work like it used to, so I find any excuse to use it up.

u/islandbug · 6 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Based on the pictures, 30E/F seems too small. I think your original measurements of 30FF/G sound about right. And I'm actually leaning more towards 30G since I'm 28FF and you seem more than one size bigger than me. Don't worry, it's not as huge as it seems! There was a survey done on this subreddit where we found out that 30F is about average.

As far as brands go, if you really think you're full-on-bottom, Cleo Lucy is a good starting bra.

Linen spray! My husband and I use this incredible, all natural, linen spray on our clothes to cut down on washes: https://www.nancyboy.com/scented-linen-spray-1/

We use it every night — selectively spraying inside our items like jeans or blazers when we take our clothes off to change into lounge wear. We also spray our shoes every night, with athletic shoes getting heavier sprays and leather getting a light mist carefully applied to the interior. On my leather flats and my loafers, I mist a tissue and lightly stuff it inside.

I also weekly mist the entire closet with the spray because lavender and spearmint deter moths. We also mist our bath towels between uses and sometimes the entire bathroom.

My other tip is fashion tape! I use this to tack hems, hold plunging necklines together, keep blouse bows from unfurling, seal the gap between buttons on tighter blouses. It’s great stuff. https://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Fashion-Tape-HFT-101/dp/B0006IO3NG

u/hurrrrrmione · 5 pointsr/ABraThatFits

Whatever you end up doing, fashion tape might be helpful to keep the fabric from moving and revealing your breasts or bra substitute.

I wore pasties! Will wear them at the wedding too. These are the best ones I've tried. There are similar for only like $5 but these really last, and I personally like them because they keep a perfect round shape, I wear them under tank tops and stuff too and even with C-Ds I feel good about it.

I got this in black. The fabric was stretchy and much softer than the hospital gowns. I liked that it was sleeveless, because I was running hot. The nurse had easy access to my belly with the slit in the front.

My wife almost never wears a bra. She loves "Nippies Skin Original". They have adhesive and non-adhesive versions. I've taken them off her many times; no complaints, flinching or any sign they are uncomfortable to take off. Seems to just peel off with not a lot of resistance. The adhesive is not very sticky and it's reusable. You can rejuvenate the adhesive by gently washing with warm water and letting them air dry (pick any hairs out =)

She recently tried the non-adhesive kind and they stay on very well too!

Highly recommend them... they aren't cheap but a set can last you a year, easy, if you take care of them. By 'take care of them' I mean just don't wantonly cover them in dirt / sand and when you aren't wearing them put them back on the little plastic cups. The adhesive should last at least 6 months before needing to be washed and rejuvenated. Trust me... if these things were high maintenance she wouldn't bother!

u/notamooglekupo · 4 pointsr/thesims

Since the problem seems to be about the constriction imposed by bras and how they both trap fluid in the breast and weaken your breast muscles, I can’t imagine wearing sports bras all day long is better. The most important thing if you choose to wear a bra is not wearing it too long and ensuring it’s not very tight (no marks in the skin). Personally I use Nippies by Bristols 6, which are basically super high quality pasties that can last over a year with daily use. They’re so comfy and I haven’t had to wear a bra for 3 years!

u/athousand-words · 4 pointsr/BabyBumps

I bought a labor gown to wear (this one, specifically: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D8XG0MC). I ended up being totally naked during the actual birth, but changed into the gown the next morning and wore it with a light robe (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GP3NSD6). Because the gown was black, I didn't worry about stains or anything, and it was accessible for breastfeeding. Wearing something comfortable and a pretty robe made me feel more confident about visitors and pictures; I plan to do the same this time around as well.

u/plebian-seppuku · 4 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I bought these for wearing until dresses I can't wear a bra with, or just covering my nipples. They're comfortable and re-usable, I felt they were decent for the price.

u/vallary · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

It's a bit harder to get diagnose fit and for some people to get the best possible fit in a moulded bra, but if you're not at all open to wearing a non-moulded bra, that's totally your choice. Your measurements put you between band sizes as well as between cup sizes, so you're likely to wear a 32 band in some bras and a 34 in others (in addition to being between cup sizes).

I'm putting only amazon links in here for ease of shipping/returns. Everything I've linked is available on Prime, but it might default to another seller if the size you choose is out of stock or they have a lower price so just pay attention when you're adding stuff to your cart as other sellers will have their own return policies.

For absolute basic, 'everyday' bras, your best choice to start would probably be Freya Deco. This bra runs bigger in the band, so you'll probably do fine in a 32 band here.

Personally I prefer the fit of the Parfait Jeanie to the Deco, I find the cups/straps are a little closer together so it's much more comfortable for me. (Also it's $20 cheaper, though, I'd still pay the extra money for something that fit better).

Strapless bras are fairly difficult to come by in larger sizes, the Deco Strapless is what I would consider the most useful one, it also comes in a longline version which may be more supportive if you don't find this sufficient. It is tighter in the band than the regular Deco, so you may take a 34 in this.

Panache Sport is probably the most consistently recommended bra on this sub, it comes in underwired and non-wired versions. It's not moulded, the cups are seamed and made of flexible foam. The underwires in the wired version are padded, so it's pretty comfy. You'll probably take a larger band in this based on the fact that you're lifting and doing yoga, and not running.

However, since the Panache sport is an encapsulation bra, it's really not my first choice for yoga. I prefer this Shock Absorber which is a strong compression bra, to just flatten my boobs as much as possible to get them as much out of the way as they can get. This runs tight in the band, so I might suggest trying a 36 band. The sizing is kind of weird on this as well, the boob section never gets any wider, it just gets taller (I own this in a FF and H cup in the same band size), so if you try it and think it doesn't provide enough coverage and is showing too much very squished cleavage, just size up even if it's a cup size much larger than you would normally wear.

$250 is a bit of a tight budget for the number of bras you want, but really not impossible once you've narrowed down your size. Even based on Amazon-pricing, if you like the Parfait Jeanie, you can get 3 of those, the Deco Strapless, and a sports bra for $260.....but you can also get 3 Decos, the Deco Strapless, and a Panache Sport from here for £161 which converts to $213USD. You can also often find new with tags bras on ebay from UK sellers that are selling off previous seasons' printed or fashion colour bras.

Actually, I just had a thought: WHAT ABOUT CAT TIGHTS?!

There are also versions in Totoro's, Bears, Puppied, Bats, Dragons, etc. so you have your pick of subject matter.

Otherwise, go with nude tights and accessorize with jewelry or an interesting jacket. It's tough to add tights to this without making it seem blocky.

I used to get upper back pain in ill fitted, cross-back sports bras. I thought the cross-back would be good for larger sizes, but they really aren't. Also, if the size is not right for you, it means you are getting support from the straps instead of the band and you'll get that upper back ache you are talking about as the weight of your chest pulls on the straps. Once I found my proper size using the sidebar guide, the upper back aches generally stopped.

I tried the Panache Non Wired Sports Bra and its wireless sister and fell in love with the regular straps and great hold. No more achy back and shoulders after a workout! I didn't think I would like the wires, but they are so cushioned and encapsulated in the fabric that they only add support. The wired bra is best for intense workouts, but I do pretty well in the wireless, too.

The band is VERY snug in this model, so be sure to take your measurements using the sidebar and lean towards the upper end of your band measurement. I have a snug underbust of about 28 and a tight measurement of about 27.5, and the 30 band can even feel a little too tight for me.

I love Panache! I bought their regular sports bra and while I liked it for most workouts, on my long runs (10+ miles), the underwire would poke into me and rub me raw. I was disappointed, and continued to search for the perfect bra.

Eventually, I decided to try their non-wired sports bra and it's absolutely the best sports bra I've ever put on. No bounce, no chaffing, just awesomeness.

The Cleo Juna has some lace along the top of the cup and isn't too full coverage (but is otherwise boring).

The Deco Plunge is "boring" as far as decoration, but does give nice cleavage w/ less coverage.

The Tango II seems like a fun nude bra, but it's not. It's evil (in this size rage).

I don't think the Natori Feathers comes in your size, unfortunately, because I think it hits all of your points.

The Gossard Superboost lace plunge looks cute, but I haven't tried it (and I think I remember people saying Gossard is weird re shape/sizing?)

The Freya Carys is not beige as in nude color, but is a more neutral color and also comes in longline.

u/singsingsingsing · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

If you want to get this look with a properly fitting bra, I must say the Freya Deco did wonders for me! I have very large, pendulous breasts with what I consider an average root. The Deco keeps them lifted up and creates that rounded look on top without them touching.

I also recently purchased the Cleo Lilly and Cleo Lucy
, and they give me a great rounded look that isn't as intense.

Start pumping at least once a day after your LO feeds. I made sure to have a good freezer stash for my first day back at work. Have you introduced a bottle to your LO yet? If not, do it right away so he/she gets used to it. Make sure you're not the one giving him the bottle, cause sometimes they won't take it.

Pumping hurts the first few times, but do yourself a favor and get a hands free pumping bra. LIFE CHANGER. When you have both your hands free it makes the session go so much faster. Here's the one I have:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004S8MGGQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Drink plenty of water, and depending on how much you get in a session, don't be afraid to go upto 20 mins. I have about three letdowns in 20 mins, each about 7 mins apart. The first time milk stopped coming out after the first letdown I was very disappointed, but then I decided to keep pumping and I had a second letdown. I usually average about 4 oz in 2 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Verdict is in: the underwear is comfortable. Roomy and fits under the bump as advertised. I'm sold.

I was wearing a size 12 when I got pregnant, and am probably a solid 14 now. Was in size 8 underwear. I ordered these in XXXL and they are comfortable. It's funny wearing XXXL underwear but hey, made in China and everything. As long as my ass is comfortable.

I use Pinky Petals Silicone Pasties. In my experience, they've worked very well. They stick well, without being uncomfortable to peel or leaving sticky residue, and they're reusable. I got mine on Amazon, but I've also seen them at Walgreens. I am not sure if they come in other colors, however.

u/Ravenselm · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

I know one product doesn't work for everyone but here's the band I'm currently using.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072BYTJ6V/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought it two weeks ago because my round ligaments get tired and sore very quickly and so does my lower back. (I'm currently 27wks and just really starting to look pregnant, and not like I ate too many donuts)
This thing is a life saver right now because I caught a cold with a very strong, persistent cough and pulled one of my round ligaments. I've worn this band for nearly 72 hours straight (not including showers lol) and it's keeping the pain much more manageable. Plus its cheap so I didn't feel like I was wasting my money if I got it and hated it.
I hope you find something that helps!

My friend wore some like these before she grew her own http://amzn.to/2IaeicA They're also sold at places like Walmart, Victoria's Secret, etc.

u/SpeakeasyImprov · 3 pointsr/predaddit

Here's what I remember really using during our stay:

For you: basic toiletries, a change of clothes, a phone/device charger, a book or Nintendo Switch or whatever it is to keep your brain occupied. (Although I honestly could NOT focus on my book at all, I think I read a total of two pages over four days. I actually ended up playing Sudoku on my phone and watching HGTV.)

For her: Nursing tops, nursing bra, post-maternity pads and underwear, a maternity gown, all of her toiletries.

For the baby: A going home outfit, a swaddle blanket. Also, the car seat was installed, checked, and double-checked weeks before.

Call your hospital/birthing center and find out what they provide. Mine provided diapers, blankets, and onesies for my daughter, and some toiletries and personal supplies for my wife. They also had a kitchenette stocked with snacks and drinks. If you're lucky they'll have your back and be able to take some pressure off of you.

u/yumoja · 3 pointsr/bigboobproblems

I get what you mean about the irritation. It's my pet peeve when women can't understand that it's not physically comfortable for some women to go braless, no matter how much they may want to. I'm a 34F. I was braless for 80% of last winter and since May I've been braless about 50% of the time. As soon as the weather cools down I anticipate going up to 80% or more again. It's been absolutely glorious.

I'm lucky to be able to do it so frequently though. It doesn't hurt me to not be supported, my job isn't very physical, and the area where I live has long winters so I can wear shawls/big scarves/many layers for a long time. During the summer I got myself these lovely things and could get away with just a loose dark tank top and a thin cardigan. As far as I now, people don't notice, and even if they do, as long as my nipples aren't giving them directions, I personally don't care very much. My girls are free and happy!

Someone in /r/babybumps a while back recommended these maternity panties from Amazon. I figured "what the heck" and ordered a couple.

Holy COW these are comfortable. I ordered another two packs of them after a week. I think I may throw out all of my old underwear and just wear these forever.

I recommend a minimizer as well--this makes a big difference. Hollywood Fashion Tape is also really helpful--just tape a strip above and below the offending button, and voila!

FF is a UK size. It's 1 full cup bigger than an F. UK sizing goes D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG and so on. I checked bratabase and the Deco has very wide wires. 34FF actually has the same volume as a 32G, but with a looser band. The Cleo Lucy is a good bra to start with if you are full on bottom. Also, unlined bras are much better when you are trying to nail down your best fit/size. It has medium wires. Amazon often has the Lucy on sale for a good price, right now the 34FF is about $31. You might want to try it in the 34F and 34FF.

u/Into-the-stream · 2 pointsr/Fitness

You say the straps are digging in. That's the problem. The support should come from the band, not the straps. The straps should be just tight enough not to slip off your shoulders.

Get a bra that has a band tight enough that it can't ride up your torso in the back. If you measure around your torso just under your breast tissue, keep the tape parallel with the ground, and the tape should be very tight. Tha is your true band number. Don't add or subtract. If it measures 38", you need to find a bra that's 38" (most bra sellers suggest adding inches. This makes bras easier to manufacture, but it's wrong. Yes, you've been lied to about how to fit a bra by everyone your whole life.)

Now that you know your size, there are two types of sports bras, bending or encapsulating. Binding is basically a giant elastic band that squashes your boobs into place. Encapsulating creates little pockets for your breasts that hold them in place. Binding bras are more common, and a lot cheaper. Encapsulating are better, and more expendsive.

Panache makes encapsulating ones with wire and no wire. amazon

I've been wearing these and have been really happy with them so far. Just keep in mind that these are done in the super-unflattering Chinese sizing - aka, look at the numerical size and not the letter size (I get to gloriously wear a 3X as a size 14/16.) These puppies run small, but I can squeeze in just fine. Full coverage, no digging into my hips. Plus they're cotton, so they actually breathe.

u/t_maia · 2 pointsr/ABraThatFits

One of cheapest bra in your size range that is halfway decent is the Goddess Keira. It sells for around 40 USD on amazon. Amazon does free returns and I've also seen the Keira go on sale for less. Goddess uses US sizing, order a 34K.

They also currently have the Panache Tango II Balc. on sale in beige for 34 USD. Order your UK size of 34H.

The Cleo Marcie is on sale for 50% off at 28 USD. Again, order your UK size of 34H.

EDIT: Cleo Lucy is also on sale for 35 USD.

I've been wearing my regular underwear still, the hipster kind that have lacy cheeks. They're stretchy up top and can fit under my growing belly, and won't constrict my butt.

u/woolensweatertime · 2 pointsr/February2018Bumpers

I'm using this, which works great for the mostly hands-free double-sided pumping I'm doing. I sometimes stick my hand in and massage engorged areas, and that's pretty easy, but it's probably not the best choice if you want to do constant massage/compressions, since it's meant to be worn tight against your body.

Before this I was doing double-sided pumping just holding the flanges on, which is completely 100% for the birds, do not recommend ever.

I also have a rather pronounced tail of spence, and for me shoulder bras work best to keep them in check. I'd recommend the Natori Feathers - I personally haven't tried it, but it's supposedly great for shallow breasts. You may want to size up in the cup though, it's very shallow.

The ones I own are Mimi Holliday shoulder bras - I have several non-padded (narrow wires) and one padded (wide wires). Mimi's rather expensive, but from time to time, cheap ones in 28D-DD and 30C-D pop up on Amazon UK and Ebay. Their balconettes and padded plunges (actually half cups) also have very wide cups.

u/dranarchy · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

Geez, I didn't even know I was essentially buying the same bra over and over again. No wonder nothing was working. My ignorance of this topic is a little embarrassing! But you're all very sweet and helpful around here, so I'm going to pursue this li'l project. It would really take a surprising amount of stress off my life and add confidence if I could just get it straightened out.

Just to be clear, first try:

  1. Panache CLEO Lucy Balconnet Bra 5851
    and
  2. Panache Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831)
    in which size, exactly?
Also, which Freya unmoulded would you recommend?

u/greenbluejay · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

These are great. I got a name brand version for closer to $20, but in retrospect I think they're probably exactly the same as the less expensive ones. They last for years, cover the nips even when it gets cold, and are super comfy! For me, band-aids always hurt too much to take off, and these peel off really easily.

u/aeb1022 · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I can commiserate! 14 weeks here, and I've been having super uncomfortable back pain since like, week 8, and it's only getting worse. The thought of buying a support belt is ridiculous to me, because there's like, nothing there to support lol. But I'm about to cave! A belt, stretches, or a "chiropractic massage" (whatever that is) are what my midwife recommended at my appointment last week. I'm looking at this one, based on the reviews. The kind with the strap across the top seems like overkill at this point. Good luck, hope you get some relief!

u/imabroodybear · 1 pointr/breastfeeding

Yes! It’s this one: https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Wishes-Signature-Pumping-Patented/dp/B002968T5G

It’s definitely not cute and it’s a little bondage-y, lol, but I don’t wear it as a regular bra. I just wear my nursing bra and then I unclip the nursing bra and put the pumping bra over it right before I pump, and take it off again as soon as I’m done - it’s just on to hold the flanges in place.

u/Mariamatic · 1 pointr/MtF

Tbh I don't like hanging out with other trans people, or at least MtFs, because a lot of them only want to talk about trans stuff. On the one hand I get it, because they probably don't have anyone else to talk to about it with, but on the other hand, I spend every day and night of my life living it, I want to spend time with friends to get away from thinking about the fact that I'll never be normal and my entire life was ruined because I lost a 50/50 coin flip at birth. I'd rather be friends with someone on a solid foundation of common interests and a strong relationship, not one predicated on a shared, painful medical condition and my biggest insecurities. I'd like to be friends with a trans guy, they seem pretty chill, and our issues are different enough that there isn't so much overlap.

I think in many ways it stems from the fact that a lot of trans people have serious lingering mental issues from dealing with dysphoria and depression for so long, plus are probably insecure and feel a need to attack people to reassure themselves that they're okay. That's a bad combination for having a positive and constructive community, when half the members are or were suicidally depressed etc. I know there have been several times when I'm around town and seen a girl wearing those cat tights that were pretty popular and think like "Ha, I look so much better in those than that girl! Must feel bad to lose to a man at wearing tights!" because I am profoundly insecure and my legs are one of the only features I'm semi-happy with. Somehow it feels like if I compare myself to someone else in that kind of way, it makes me somehow less of a complete disaster by comparison. So I kind of get why some people end up doing the kind of things OP talked about, I don't really know what can be done about it, so I choose to not involve myself.

Going braless is fine, but bras are often vilified in this subreddit, mostly only because they don't fit well. It's not the poster's fault or the bra's fault, but it's not right to do that, and I can't just stand by when it's happening.

30C is designed for the same breast volume as 32B, but it has a tighter band, not surprised it feels tight. It could be that you need very shallow 30Ds with wide wires and not a lot of forward projection - shallow breasts sometimes also need a bigger size than measurements predict. "D cup" isn't huge. Here's a well fitting shallow 30D. And here's another.

Your description of cup fit sounds like too narrow wires preventing all of your breast tissue getting into the cups. It's a bit like a party hat sitting on your head, it is to small, but it's empty because your head doesn't fit in it. The cup isn't too big, it's wrongly shaped, too narrow and too forward projecting.

A good thing about brands with a big size range is a lot of their straps tend to be fully adjustable.

Natori Feathers Contour Plunge is considered one of the comfiest bras out there. Calvin Klein Customized Lift demis are liked by many. Aerie bras by and large are great - you could try a 32C on tightest hooks in store and if it works order 30D online, I don't think they stock 30 bands in stores.

> how did you overcome feeling a host of negative emotions if and when you started presenting privately

For me the negative emotions were from two sources:

(1) Frustration from my masculine features conflicting with feminine clothes.

This is hard, especially if you don't want to go full bore HRT. It tends to vary over time, though, so if presenting femme is not working, maybe don't force it? Do it when it makes you feel good.

I found that moving to androgynous clothes helped. One of the first things I did was order these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C11AS9O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wearing something more colorful and feminine under my clothes helped. Those are also good for tucking, should you choose to do that. I also switched to skinny jeans, because they felt more feminine, but no one was the wiser.

Also, don't worry if your early experimentation with things like makeup are atrocious, because you will improve.

(2) Shame at being transgender. We all have it to one extent or another, because that's what we've been taught by the culture around us.

That one's hard to stamp out, and it takes time. What helped the most was going to a good support group with lots (40+) other trans people (both men, women, and some nb people). When you hear people from all walks of life talking about the same things you feel, it kind of cements the fact that you were born this way and that there is nothing wrong with it. Meeting trans men helped me extinguish any feelings of it being some kind of fetish and embrace the idea that some peoples brains don't match up with their genitals.

> Do you also have experience with low level HRT?

I don't. I started transition at 44, and found I was eager to make up for lost time.

Look up some tricks to keep supply up if you are exclusively pumping (if nursing is an option though do it as often as you can). I've been pumping 80% of the time since my daughter was born because of issues like you listed and EPing for the last two weeks after getting a bad friction blister and then mastitis. What's helped my supply:

-Pumping every three hours, every four overnight if she'll let me. Sometimes I need to get creative if she's awake and fussy and prop her in a boppy next to me, hold a bottle for her while I'm in the hands free pumping bra. Seems so silly to pump while bottle feeding her but it's just too painful to nurse sometimes!

-Pressing the let down button on the pump several times. Saw this from another redditor, and it does work. I usually wait until I no longer see streams of milk coming out, hit the let down button and increase suction a bit and get a second burst.

-Boob massage. If you don't have a hands free pumping bra yet get one, it's one of the best purchases I've made. I use this one. I've eaten most of my postpartum meals while pumping in this thing. ;) While my hands are free I can also massage my breasts, pushing slowly and firmly toward the nipple or in some cases just squeezing and holding to get more milk out. Over time I've noticed which ducts on each breast are "good performers" and benefit from being massaged.

-Power pumping sessions. Also picked up on this forum, every few days when my husband can watch the baby for an hour I'll do 20 mins pumping, 10 mins rest, 10 mins pumping, 10 mins rest, 10 mins pumping to simulate cluster feeding. Word of warning, check your nips for trauma during the breaks and don't overdo the suction. It really helped my supply (probably more than any other single technique) but the last time I did it I got a nasty friction blister because I didn't notice the flange was off center which didn't heal well and led to a case of mastitis.

-Mother's Milk tea I tried Milkmaid tea first, and then Mommy Knows Best lactation supplement, but this is more effective for me than both of those together. Start with just a cup or two a day as it can be seriously strong and lead to engorgement.

Good luck! I don't wish exclusively pumping on anyone as it's a pain in the butt, but I'm like you with one breastfeeding problem after another. I'm currently considering (for the millionth time) giving up because my mastitis was awful and serious and tanked my supply, but I keep reading the health benefits of making it to six months and am hoping to figure something out. This sub is great inspiration!
