Yay! I always look forward to this thread. Here are some of my go to gifts:

  • S'well water bottles or tumblers. I know they're overpriced BUT they do keep my water ice cold all day and I think the new tumblers and travellers are really cute.
  • Zippo hand warmers. I live in Ottawa so these really help for when I'm at the dog park or whatever, I have two that I keep in my coat pockets to keep my hands warm.
  • Baggu shopping bags. I have like 6 of these and always get complimented on the cute patterns. They make grocery shopping a bit more fun.
  • Fun socks. I can't be the only person who loves goofy socks right?
  • Ugg Slippers. So comfortable and have lasted me years.
  • Fossil Hybrid Watch. I’ve wanted something like this for a while but just found out they existed. It has all the features of a smart watch but with just a normal watch face.
  • Roots sweatpants and hoodies. Really good quality sweats and they last forever.

I'll add more as I think of them!
u/OlBrixx · 70 pointsr/EDC

I posted a picture the other day of what I thought was the best $7 watch on the planet. Well I got some pretty good input and got myself a Barton NATO watchband. As always our EDC family was right and it's a fantastic upgrade from the smaller plastic band the watch comes with.

Noooo. 👀 You can wear high waisted thongs or those c-panty things.

Like these.

u/tookmyname · 31 pointsr/NSFW_GIF

No. You can see the watermark style brand/label that says "Trasparenze" on her hips.

It's these exact ones:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A9K5UPG/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I know because my gf owns them and I've seen the video. She also owns some of these cheaper ones from Amazon like this one. They're not nearly the same. The Trasparenze ones are very nice compared to the others.

u/Annabakes · 23 pointsr/AskWomen

I have this problem too but deodorant doesn’t work for me. Look up bandalettes or Monostat makes an anti-chafing cream that feels like baby powder. Those are my go to solutions. Both work beautifully for my thick thighs.

It actually looks like she's wearing some type of toe-guard, like a C-String.

u/KushyTushy420 · 14 pointsr/asstastic

Thanks! I believe these are the ones I got. Great quality, highly recommend! You will look amazing in them. 😉

u/Truant_Muse · 14 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

PSA for thigh chaffing: I'm personally not a fan of the bike shorts method they are hot, your underwear sometimes bunches under them, and you can often see a line from the waistline under dresses. I recently purchased these and they are great. I was very skeptical, but figured it was worth a try. I've worn them all day a couple of times now in pretty intense heat and humidity and they stay in place and do exactly what they say they will, I honestly forget I'm wearing them. I used their size chart and found it to be accurate, very happy with them and will buy again.

u/Caelestia · 12 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I gave up on shorts and skirts like, 25 years ago. However, when they need to be worn, I use anti-chafing powder (goes on like a gel and feels like powder) or bandalettes.

u/TurMoiL911 · 7 pointsr/pics

It's been seven hours. Somebody post the Amazon link for this thing already.

EDIT: "Fine, I'll do it myself." - Thanos

u/veriin · 7 pointsr/sewing

I think I may be confused, so please correct me---

You want the security and comfort of modern undies, and you're adding the bloomers to prevent chafing, but all the layers and climate are a concern?

My suggestion would be to wear the bloomers under your modern undies (which could feel really weird, I imagine, but would let you pull them down) - OR, if the bloomers are made like the link below, instead of an elastic waistband, would something tied be an option? You can untie them and drop with your undies?

If you want to get rid of the bloomers, thigh bandelettes are a thing. I've never worn them, but they have pretty good reviews on Amazon. (4 stars with over 4,000 reviews)

With all your layers and difficulty bending, a Bridal Buddy may be useful, but you may need a bridesmaid or friend to assist you with getting everything gathered up. (I can't bend much when wearing corsetry, but you may find it easier. :) )

At any rate, that's all I could think of with my grasp of the issue, your dress sounds absolutely beautiful, and I hope you find a solution that works!

edit: one of my links didn't insert properly. :)

u/nosudo4u · 5 pointsr/TryingForABaby

11/12DPO although it feels longer than that. I've given up all pretense of not lying to myself about obsessing over my chart. The litany of "deargoddeargoddeargod please give me a high temp" starts every morning and I'm not religious so now I'm a blasphemer.

I'm trying to distract myself by adding to my Christmas wish list on Elfster. I know it's only Nov. 1 but a group of girlfriends and I just started our annual Secret Santa so I'm staring at all the sarcastic socks and coffee mugs.

u/MintyTruffle · 5 pointsr/Watches

Osprey porter 46.

https://www.amazon.com/Osprey-Porter-Travel-Backpack-Bag/dp/B00OKE68PS

Also buy force fins, they are the best as well as the best for travel. Bay has them from time to time, also if you get the inserts you don't need booties. can easily fit all that stuff in the bag.

u/emylie1986 · 3 pointsr/ABraThatFits

u/marypies78 · 3 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I have a few sets of thigh bands similar to this & I LOVE them. I tried a few creams / roll on products made for what I call my "chub rub", but my skin did NOT like it, have me a rash every time. Plus It feels secretly sexy ☺

u/turdbogls · 3 pointsr/Watches

Tissot Everytime:

its 42mm, but otherwise I don't know if you will find anything more perfect for him

Also comes in a slightly different style

the T-classic leans a little more dressy, but still versatile IMO, though it is 44mm

in fact, there are quite a few Tissot watches to choose from. pretty much the entire quartz lineup are sub $300 and most (if not all) come with Sapphire.

If you don't already have a bag get this one- https://www.amazon.com/Osprey-Porter-Travel-Backpack-46-Liter/dp/B00OKE68PS

In addition I recommend bringing lights clothes that are able to dry quickly if you want to wash them and be able to pack them. Finally get some packing cubes to organize your clothes when you pack, it helps so much.

Living in NZ on a working holiday visa, here is what I'm carrying most of the time:

  • Timex Ironman (not sure which model, found it in an old box of my things while cleaning one day), strap is by Barton.
  • Hitch & Timber Scrawllet
  • Space Pen (raw brass)
  • Keys
  • Pixel 2
u/python212121 · 3 pointsr/Watches

Congrats! I just got an SNK809 and love it. I have it on a NATO strap, I would highly recommend. I got a few straps on Amazon and they all were a little too rough for my wrists but this one is super super comfortable, and doesn't have the normal nato loopover, it has a loop tuck. Much neater.

I also just bought a sapphire crystal for it and my local watchmaker quoted be $20 for the swap, I'll let you know how that turns out. Good luck on fatherhood!

Your English is easily understandable, no worries. That is good logic behind your choice of leather strap.

If you live in a humid, hot environment or plan to wear this watch while swimming, I would suggest you look into rubber or silicone materials as a 2nd strap. I wear my SKX013 on a Barton elite silicone strap and it's so comfortable, I hardly notice I'm wearing anything at all. It comes with quick release springbars, so you can change your straps in a few seconds, and has 2 different length sections (one long and one short), so you can get a good fit even if you have a large or small wrist. With it being priced at $20, I recommend it often to people looking for an alternative to the bracelet on a diver.

u/_Kill_Will_ · 2 pointsr/GalaxyWatch

For an active setting I like MD 153 or SportMinimalLite, and for a more professional look I like AS_Watch_Mod or X2 Viron.

Barton makes the absolute best silicone strap, it has a curve on each strap that makes it more comfortable for a larger wrist.

Since the removal has already been covered, I'm just going to answer your question on whether you can get a decent quality black strap with a budget of $30-$50.

The answer is yes! Hadley-Roma makes some pretty good stuff, for the price, and they have straps in a plethora of styles. If you go with this option, you can even afford to throw in a push-button clasp. Have fun personalizing your watch!

Yesssss I've spent so much on Sofsy stuff. Always decent quality. The higher denier items develop a visually unnoticeable piling after a while, but I think that should be expected.

Also, for an opaque suspender-style, Trasparenze makes a good product too. They've held up very well.

Hey, we've got almost the exact same measurements! All the same except for lying down, mine is 33.5". Balconette bras work well, particularly this one! The wires are definitely wide enough for me, although ymmv. I hope this helps! This is an older style so it seems to be cheaper, a bit less risky to try out.

u/MangyCanine · 2 pointsr/Watches

They're still not cheap, but:

  • If you're looking for a butterfly-style clasp, I bought this Hadley-Roma one from Amazon.

  • For single-fold/sport clasps, look on panatime. However, note that bands need to be thin (2mm or less), and that you might have to adjust the band 1-3 holes larger to fit.

Also, please realize that one end of the clasp is going to be where the buckle is, and will go up the strap with the loops (the strap with the buckle). This results in a very asymmetric look, and I have to actually reverse the strap to make everything comfortable. I might see if I can get a custom-sized band on etsy.

Nope, the one on the video is smooth, it doesn't have that net below the hip. If you want the one on the video, then that would be this one. "Trasparenze" brand and all. But that one is quite expensive, which is why I liked the first one on my original comment

u/That_Astronomy_Guy · 1 pointr/Watches

I'm looking at buying my first watch, I've always liked watches and they are the only fashion accessory I've ever taken an interest in. Unfortunately, I have a low budget of $150 that cannot be exceeded. That said I do own a quality watch given to me as a gift, a Raymond Weil 5532. I would finally like to purchase my own watch though because no matter how nice the one that was given to me, I find that buying things yourself gives a bit of a sense of satisfaction. Anyway, the watches I am looking at are the Tissot Men's Couturier Silver Dial Watch - https://www.amazon.com/Tissot-Couturier-Silver-Watch-T0354101103100/dp/B0029MXKH2/ref=sr_1_36?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1518710026&sr=1-36&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&refinements=p_4%3ATissot%2Cp_36%3A-15000#customerReviews -, the Seiko Classic Black Dial Stainless Steel Mens Watch -, The Seiko (no name found) Watch - https://www.amazon.com/Seiko-SEIKO-Watch-SGEG93P1/dp/B00JZF5DZI/ref=sr_1_24?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1518880217&sr=1-24&nodeID=6358540011&psd=1&keywords=seiko+watches+for+men&refinements=p_36%3A-15000%2Cp_n_material_browse%3A379288011 -, and the Tissot T-Classic Everytime White Dial Mens Watch - https://www.amazon.com/Tissot-T-Classic-Everytime-White-T1096101603700/dp/B01LDXRM12/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1518882823&sr=1-2&nodeID=6358540011&psd=1&keywords=tissot+watches+men&refinements=p_36%3A-15000#customerReviews. Because I already have the Weil with a leather band, I'm leaning towards a metal banded watch but am still open to the other Tissot, out of those, my favorites are the Seiko classic black dial and metal banded Tissot. I'd like to stay with quality brands like these but am open to other budget minded options and also watches that are proportional to my 6 inch wrists. Thanks for the help.

u/lillakatt · 1 pointr/ABraThatFits

I wouldn't shy away from balconette/Demi bras because of your size, I hated Demi bras when I shopped at Victoria's Secret because I was always popping out of them - it wasn't the style, it was that the bra was 3-4 cup sizes too small. Also, when a certain style has scaling issues (ie: a bra in 30H that's based off of a design for 30F and just made bigger instead of scaling for more typical 30H proportions) they usually don't start to happen until past GG and you're not quite there yet.

this bra by Chantelle is a balconette bra and it's one of my "every day bras." unfortunately you're sized out of this particular style, but there are similar ones both in and outside of this particular brand.

I really like the Cleo Maddie. even though it's too shallow and wide for me, it's still comfortable and flattering. I would recommend going up one cup size for this bra.

Most ABTF users are hesitant to recommend moulded bras (bras with foam padding, not necessarily push-up but some are) because it's harder to diagnose fit issues in them. I personally like them because I don't mind the fit issues and I think they're a good way to transition from VS bras to wearing the right size. I think that not having back pain, falling straps, and a floating gore is the most important thing, so you may find that your new bras are such a big improvement over your old ones even if the wires are an inch too wide. I'm like you in that I don't want any chance of my nipples showing, but you can find full coverage without foam padding.

I really want to try the Cleo Lily but I'm waiting until the Spring colors come out because Aqua/Pink is ten times cuter/easier to find matching underwear with than the Navy parrot.

The official dimensions on it are 58h x 40w x 31d cm, so on the depth it is a bit off, but it has compression straps and depending on how full the pack is as well as how tightly the straps are cinched down, it could be roughly within all the criteria. Also, Osprey packs have lifetime warranties. It should be able to fit everything you've listed without any major issues.

Looking for an aftermarket deployant clasp. I found this one but it is really uncomfortable and I'll have to return it.

Any suggestions on a nice clasp?

Get a better band. I like the locking clip on barton bands

u/Okay_Splenda_Monkey · 1 pointr/etiquette

I think it's super cool. I bet your 12 year old half brother absolutely loves it.

Spending your weekends over there playing video games with that kid right now is precious. You'll look back on that time and be very glad that you spent it having fun and bonding. I would say it is a little unusual, but in a good way. In a sweet way. If I was doing it, I'd consider purchasing matching pajama animal onesie outfits for me in the kid, but whatever you think is best.

Real talk. Some people just don't understand nipple problems! US 34H is equivalent to a UK 34FF, so there are several nice lightly padded or moulded-cup styles in your size for <$40.

Cleo Maddie in fashion colors on sale: http://www.amazon.com/Cleo-Womens-Maddie-Balconnet-T-Shirt/dp/B00F09SCEW

Parfait Charlotte, Casey and Jeanie styles are also cute, supportive & come in great colors. Here's the Charlotte bra: http://dearscarlett.com/collections/full-cup-bra-panty-sets/products/parfait-charlotte-bra-dusty-rose

If you are willing to pay a bit more, the Panache Porcelain Idina t-shirt bra is my absolute favorite bra, hands-down. The Freya Deco line is also very nice, but is also a bit more money ($60ish) I like the Freya half-cup styles too -- here's one on sale: http://www.herroom.com/freya-aa1513-fan-tastic-underwire-padded-half-cup-bra.shtml

Hope that helps... Good luck :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that all the bras listed above are in UK sizes!

That's a difficult one as they are complicated watches, this is close the the one you like I think but pretty cheap Link

u/yum_yum_wonton · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I didn't go the dirt cheap route but I thought http://www.amazon.com/Wonder-Woman-Cape-Knee-Socks/dp/B007AK1LW4/ref=sr_1_121?ie=UTF8&qid=1382913898&sr=8-121&keywords=women+socks would be a fun idea in terms of cheap. It's under 10 bucks and fulfilled by amazon so it should get free shipping for you.

Saw that you had some halloween shoes in your wishlist, just thought I'd run with that idea.

Any backpack (i.e. soft bag) designed to be carried-on should accommodate it. I use an Osprey Porter 46 but there are plenty of other options.

That said, carry-ons are supposed to be less than 22x14x9 inches (that is a United site but the rules are universal in the US). If you find a particularly stringent gate attendant they might make you check it. This has never happened to me with bulging bags, though.

u/mrsniperrifle · 1 pointr/videos

I use an Ospery Porter 45 (now 46) for all of my travelling needs. It's fucking awesome.

Holds a ton of stuff, is comfortable to wear for long periods of movement, compresses down to almost nothing. It even fits under the seat in a pinch.

I second reusable nipple covers. For bras, the Cleo Maddie is the one bra I have that doesn't have any nipple show through. Most people find that it runs a cup size small.

What're you looking for? Here's a quick example of a band. There are tons available. Just look for 22mm (if you have the full size VA4).

25 bucks isn't going to be enough to get good leather. If you are really railing against the budget, bartons should be fine.

Actually, I have this black Tissot PR100 watch and I was looking for something a bit more extravagant, just to wear on more celebratory occasions.

I've looked at a lot of chrono watches with gold dial, and leather strap. Then I found the Tufina one, and I thought it looked pretty good, but like you said, something feels sketchy about the brand and in the end, it does indeed feel gaudy.

But when I was picking up my Tissot yesterday from my watch retailer after repair, I saw this Tissot:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LDXRM12/ref=s9u_simh_gw_i1?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pd_rd_i=B01LDXRM12&pd_rd_r=8f9b6a35-d08e-11e7-bb73-f3f24e4c20a4&pd_rd_w=qkO5m&pd_rd_wg=4shDn&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=Q70J85CG20KJY4V5YDC7&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=e6624b56-7cc1-411f-9d12-9cc8feb6c214&pf_rd_i=desktop

And I think I'm going to go for a more sober watch, white dial, and a leather strap. Much like this one, too:

https://www.danielwellington.com/nl/dw-watch-men-classic-york-silver-40mm

The Tissots ones are a bit more expensive that the dW, and I don't like the Tissot strap, but I think I'll go for a watch more in line with these two. The only thing I'd like is that it shows the date, like in the first one. But as soon as you have a calendar, the Tissots are usually 300 EUR +. My price range is somewhere around 200.

Thanks for suggestions.

I had no luck finding an original Moto band. This was a nice replacement and has held up well so far. Also has quick release:

u/sircarbonmojo · 1 pointr/Watches

this plus this or this? just make sure that the clasp is sized for the buckle, not the lugs

u/KentuckyHouse · 1 pointr/GalaxyWatch

Hey, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I actually love these bands because they've got this bend at the lugs coming off the watch that makes them conform to your wrist a lot more closely. They've also got the "keeper" feature where one of the band loops has a little nub that holds the extra band in place.

This is the one I've got

They're well worth the cost, in my opinion.
