Before I was able to get a kitchen I bought a single induction hob like this:
Tefal IH201840 Everyday Induction Hob, Ceramic Coated Cooking Plate, Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ER445UQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_XgVYBb6B7GNYS
(there are some a little cheaper but that one seems well reviewed)
You can do a hell of a lot of cooking with a hot pan. Otherwise managing with just a microwave and George foreman is quite challenging!
You put it over your coffee mug / tea cup to keep your drink from spilling while you walk it over to your desk, and/or to keep it warm (eg. while steeping loose tea). [Similar item.]
I do burgers, chicken breasts, steaks, etc.,
I suggest getting the glass cover for it too. Helps keep chicken breast nice and moist. You could also get the [panini press] (http://www.amazon.com/Lodge-LPP3-Square-Ribbed-8-25-inch/dp/B0039UU9TU) and make really nice grilled sandwiches.
I used to use those "Smart Lidz" that were advertised on television several years ago. They actually worked surprisingly well for an infomercial product.
These kind are nice too:

If you get a set of glass Pyrex bowls, they will probably last your entire life. These kinds of lids work great with them, and everything is microwave and oven safe, so you can move them from the fridge directly into the microwave for reheating.
You could use this to achieve that!

Here's the universal one I found on Amazon for like 20 bucks:
Universal Lid for Pots, Pans and Skillets, Stainless Steel and Tempered Glass, Fits All 7 Inch to 12 Inch Pots and Pans, Replacement Cookware Frying Pan Cover and Cast Iron Skillet Lid https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075DFGX2G/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_3npQDbGMR6EQD
It looks like it's not currently available, but this looks pretty close. It's a 4 pack of the silicone lids.
Maybe buy a lid for your frying pan? I use a tempered glass lid when frying bacon or ground beef.
Use a Silicon Pot lid. It doubles as a pot holder. I don't use a cozy and I use the lid to hold my pot when its still warm.

Here you go. They are so cute.
This is where I found the handle cover. Also these silicone covers come in handy as well.
Not sure what size you are looking for I will assume it is smaller since it seems you are only cooking for one and cooking fresh daily??
but just in case here is a 12" that looks like a decent pan.
[Cuisinart 12"]
[Ikea's 11" pans] (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50292096/) are good but no lid. you can buy universal lids to go on your pans.
[Like these] (https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Skillets-Durable-Universal-Diameter/dp/B01MRNN8RG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1539354046&sr=8-4&keywords=universal+lids+for+skillets) I like these because they have the silicone that will not hurt your nonstick coating.
For your knife
This one looks nice has a high rating and is not expensive. [Shan Zu] (https://www.amazon.com/SHAN-ZU-Kitchen-Ergonomic-Vegetables/dp/B071G7W4FF/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1539354139&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=chef+knife&psc=1)
Stanley was one of many brands I looked at but didn't end up buying. I also looked at Camelbak as I love their filtered water bottle.
My biggest concern when using travel mugs is ease of cleaning. Being able to get all the parts apart and thoroughly wash them.
The lid on that Stanley is not quite spill proof enough for me. It's spill resistant but I wouldn't be able to put it in my lunch bag and know it wasn't going to spill. I looked at that very mug and rejected it for that reason. (I have a medium LL Bean insulated lunch tote and I take a homemade iced coffee and a smoothie to work everyday. Having a spill proof lid for the smoothie was really important to me for ease of carrying everything. The tumbler I use for coffee or iced coffee I just use the regular lids and carry it.)
I also read reviews pretty extensively before buying and I make sure to read negative reviews because I might care about whatever negative that reviewer complained about. So if the performance got no negative reviews I'd be comfortable buying it as well.
This is the spill proof lid I got for my tumblers. The only spill I had was yesterday morning and that was because I hadn't closed the flip top securely, so totally my fault.

Well, with showers the best you can make is compromise. When I lived in my college dorms there was no baths, only personal showers, and sometimes you do just really need a pool of water. For this to work you need to think about high high the sealed flooring in the shower goes. If it goes up to 6" to 1', a suction lid ( like these things ) Can be put over the drain to keep the water in the basin. If it's less than that, I'd just put a washcloth over the drain. Itt'l keep enough water in to make shaving legs easier, and lets just enough out so the shower doesn't over flow. Other then that there really isn't anything else you can do without making the 'compromise' seem humiliating.
Welcome to my life. For lunches/take to work, absolutely hit up /r/MealPrepSunday. I make giant batches of what my boyfriend calls texas hash. Rice, beans, veggies and either shredded chicken or ground turkey. Throw in some spices, chili, etc call it good. I can make meals for the two of us for the week in about an hour. Same goes for massive pots of soup or chili. Dish into microwave safe mug thingers, leave a couple out and freeze the rest. Again, meals for two for a week in an hour or so.
For quick one off "gotta grab food" in the evenings:
Shakshuka for one is easy to whip up in about 10 minutes and is pretty tasty
Other than that, staying closer to vegetarian really helps. Vegetarian dishes take way less time to cook and if you're comfortable with tofu or canned beans you can easily keep your protein up. I keep frozen cooked shrimp and frozen cooked chicken strips on hand at all times basically as a "break seal in case of hangry" rescue. Throw those suckers on a 5 minute salad, chuck em' in a one person pot of soup, slam them in a quesadilla or wrap.
Ahh shit, I ordered it before I realized I also need a charging cover for my S4 for it to work. Anyone got a link for something cheaper than this?
This is just the quickest image search result that resembles mine.
I in no way endorse this particular product, or have any personal experience with the brand (i.e. I'm not shilling).
You might find better prices on aliexpress or ebay, or elsewhere on amazon.
