Usujio aji costs 1293 JPY on amazon.jp for a pack of 12 (63g which appears to be the size in the OP), which works out to be 107.75 JPY each or a little less than a dollar. Nacho cheese flavored Doritos are much cheaper at 1108 JPY for the 12 pack, which is 92.3 JPY each or 80 cents.

For comparison, ordinary tortilla chips are 365 JPY for 200g, which works out to be 121 JPY for 63 grams. Doritos are cheaper than this brand.

Edit: math

I can't figure out why the people who make "corn nuts" can't make their product a tenth as good as these. Beats the shrimp tempura chips hands down.

I was having a little get together at my house with some friends and friends of friends an overall great atmosphere just talking have a great time. When I pull out some BBQ Fritos, when someone asks me if I had the munchies. I tell them how I have been dry, 10 minutes later there are 3 dealers in my house smoking us up eating chips and listening to good music. So to awnser your question. BBQ Fritos, specifically these these!

They do sell them in the little bags. IIRC, costco usually has these boxes of the little bags too.

Canned tuna is basically pure protein, knorr food packs are a cheap solution, i'd just add more dehydrated veggies into the mix. Chunky peanut butter is just liquid fuel. Don't forget that corn chips are excellent fire starters, I recommend these. If you dehydrated your own food, brought oats, canned food. I think you could achieve well under $10 a day.

These are my favorite snack when communing with the trees.

I don't really get funny, I get all pseudo-deep.

My favorite 'thought path' right now is boggling at how, a thousand years ago, if I lived in a small town I likely would never leave it, even to go to the next town. The road would be a mystery to me, because few people in my village likely went down it too far. A foreign country would be more foreign to me than I could now imagine, because there wouldn't be any sort if informational path from it to me, I may not even known the names of countries beyond one or two borders. And even if I did travel, it would be dangerous beyond what I can imagine now, with no guarantee of food or lodging, and the possibility of thieves and no ability to call for help. Being any kind of trader seems like it would be a monumental task.

Aaand, it goes on and on. Thankfully I don't actually ramble on about this stuff.
