Back when I first started working out, a guy I knew told me about the "magic" of creatine. Being a noob and completely oblivious as to how fitness really worked, I went out and bought the first tub of the stuff I saw at the grocery store: This one. It tasted like someone took a scoop of sand and mixed it with Hawaiian punch, then took a piss in it. Horrible stuff, and I made the mistake of trying to "load" it by taking five scoops a day for the first week (on the advice of my ever-knowledgeable brofessor). On day two, I took the fourth scoop at the gym as a pre-workout, and then proceeded to vomit after only two sets of 30lb bicep curls.

God I was such an idiot.

That's what I'm going to be taking. I chose pill form, because when its time to stop using it, it'll be easier to regulate how I take less and less. They're the same price from what I've seen.

are you saying that you are now using the Con-cret creatine?

So I just bought this at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. I've never taken creatine and I can't find anything consistent on Google about this stuff. Should I be taking 8 pills a day for this?

I know the general rule is 5 grams of creatine, I just wanted to confirm. Thanks

here are my favorite work outs and creatine powders:

for a creatine: i like this one http://www.amazon.com/Beast-Sports-Nutrition-Creature-Creatine/dp/B0051ZH17E/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451881087&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=beast+breatine

It tastes good, and its one of the highest rated creatine powders on bodybuilding.com

For pre workouts ive notived my best lifts would be with jym Pre jym, and evolution http://www.amazon.com/Evlution-Nutrition-Build-Supplement-Watermelon/dp/B00F2NVMMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451881181&sr=8-1&keywords=evolution+pre+workout

I cant remember about the evolution, but jym pre has a small amount of creatine in it.

Also, if youre having trouble meeting your calorie count, i would say dont go with another shake, just find new foods to eat that will boost it. In the morning pancakes, certain cereals, oats, and peanut butter are awesome ideas

I've had good luck with CBH, probably the cheapest 600g container I've found and quality is standard. link

Hey dude, I replied with my workout plan in a different comment here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0088XS44K?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2

But if you’re trying to work a certain set of muscles, I’d recomend working on that 2-3 times a week. Maybe even throw some bicep workouts in with your back day, or triceps with your chest day. Go check out some youtube videos or the other workouts on the site I linked in the other comment. You want to find some basic exercises that you feel comfortable with. Then keep the weight to a minimum/moderate weight. There’s no reason to go heavy for every lift. You want to focus on having proper form, getting the proper contractions on the muscles, and keeping the intensity high. Good luck!

B12, Omega 3, and Creatine Ethyl-Ester. I used to take BCAAs but now they're in my Protein Powder.

What are people's views on supplements? I've researched a bit but have seen very mixed opinions. I'm looking to buy: (Money not an issue, but do care about effectiveness)

Creatine Pills

BCAA Caps

Glutamine Caps

Currently only using whey protein, all feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance

Question: is it worth investing more money into creatin?
I saw on a webside that its not relevant which creatin I use if its pure. But I saw some pretty bad ratings on amazon.
And is this a good one? http://www.amazon.de/Weider-Pure-Creatine-Neutral-600/dp/B002C1B8DI/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF

I use these 240 capsules for $8.

So yesterday I tried this combo:

1 scoop Jarrow Creatine
30 mins before Jiu Jitsu.

Breakfast:
8 a.m:

1 slice of Ezekiel sourdoug toast with almond cream cheese.
Shake with Nutiva hemp protein, 1/2 banana, blueberries, water, almond milk, almond butter and a splash of flax seed oil.

Tea mix of whole foods yerba matte and spoonful of matcha.

11:30 a.m:

1 scoop BCAA in my water bottle for during class & open mat (1.5 hours)

2 p.m.:

1 scoop Glutamine
1/2 Scoop Nutiva Hemp Protein Powder

Grilled two veggie sausages with a tad of almond cheese melted on two whole wheat hot dog buns.

About 20-30 mins after eating I pretty much crashed and had to take a nap. Was tired the rest of the day. Took 1 B-complex vitamin before bed and slept in till about 8:15 am. Usually wake up before 7 and feel fine.

If it matters, for dinner I had a bowl of quinoa with grilled corn, vegetables and some seitan chorizo, a small glass of wine and after a beer.

Noticed that at Jiu Jitsu I was in beast mode but felt my mind was clear. I was worried the creatine would give me anxiety like a lot of other similar supplements often do. I felt great and had some amazing matches. Went harder with some of the tougher dudes but held my own and felt great.

I'm thinking maybe I need to work on my post workout food/routine. Maybe I need to bring a shake that's ready for right after with protein powder and glutamine or something. Any suggestions?

What do you think about this product:

https://www.amazon.com/Six-Star-Nutrition-Max-Dosed-Micronized-x/dp/B002UNATPG?th=1

I was taking this creatine with some carbs post workout: https://www.amazon.com/Six-Star-Micronized-Monohydrate-Unflavoured/dp/B00DTWI5LW/

but the local store going to stop carrying the 100% creatine. Is it alright to take the creatine x3?
