About four bucks fifty for little over a gallon - You can't usually buy milk in gallons from supermarkets here, but you can buy a three litre bottle of milk(for about three bucks), which is about 785 ml(Or about 26 ounces) less than a gallon, and you can then buy a litre of milk for about a dollar fifty, but you'd have about 7 ounces more than a gallon.

Down here, for a high quality wooden didge, you're paying upward of 200 bucks more often than not. Of course, I discount the cheap tourist shop trash that looks and sounds like garbage, since they're made to be displayed, not played.
In the US, you can pick up a high quality hardwood Didge for a grand total of...$99 USD plus shipping..

Which might be why /r/Didgeridoos are not complaining, as a suggestion.

Now, as to your average wage - Average full time worker's earnings are actually $66,594, not 70K, according to the page you linked to.

However, I prefer to get my info from The Australian Bureau of statistics as for the weekly wage, then multiplying that by weeks of the year, minus six weeks annual leave, you end up with $59,252.60 before tax.

EDIT- with a very quick working out by a non-accountant, it would be $47,926.82 without the 1.5% medicare levy deducted, and $47,207.91 with the levy deducted.

Oh, and as another point, According to the US national average wage index, the average US wage is actually $40,711.61 USD, at least, in 2009.

I'm not arguing against your conclusion, but I think if you're going to argue a point in such a way, you should at least get your numbers right. I'm not sure if this will fuck up your numbers, but I suppose it's worth a re-working to find out.

I hear ya, and I'm going to start learning circular breathing soon as I can. Got a link to the specific didgeridoo, anyway? Is it this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Toca-DIDG-CG-Curved-Didgeridoo-Design/dp/B0054D80FA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1525268606&sr=8-2&keywords=didgeridoo ? I just want to grab one to start practicing as soon as possible.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0087HEO64/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1456805704&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=didgeridoo&dpPl=1&dpID=31BVR0YS1NL&ref=plSrch I got this one as I wasn't sure if it would stick and I didn't want to spend a lot, I have no complaints and it's one of the higher rated on the site. The mouthpiece is contoured as part of the didge with a thin beeswax coat, so it's not a bad idea to get some extra organic wax as well, if you play it alot you will wear it off in a few months and need to re-dip it to keep a good seal against your mouth

If you can find somebody to give you a lesson, I recommend it. I was getting frustrated with not making any progress. Also I thought I had the drone down correctly and I was wrong. The drone is hard to make initially

You should def sand that down to a smooth lip and apply some beeswax, also you can get a good sounding beginner didge on amazon for ~$35, it’s durable and plays very well it’s just not made from wood but it looks just like wood & has a nice tone. You are doing your country a service AND redditors a service. Be safe!

Here's my entry. Don't laugh, I think this would be so cool to know how to play.

  1. A Joseph Gordon-Levitt poster. Because he makes me VERY hot sweaty and I would like to do things with him that would cause me to be sweaty.

  2. There is nothing better than a slip and slide to help cool down on those hot days!

  3. No picnic would be complete without a giant ant

  4. I would love to vacation in Ireland, and I would bring home the Blarney stone [Disclaimer: Real Blarey stone is too big to bring home.]

  5. A salamander! My sister and I used to go up into the woods and collect them and put them in little plastic containers and keep them as pets. I will sadly say that we were pretty cruel to the little guys...I cannot forgive myself.

  6. On the camping trip, I would bring along a didgeridoo so that we could make sweet, sweet music in the woods. Pair with a harmonic and maybe some stump drums. Camping trips are always better with music!

  7. This sweatshirt is magical. If you watch Workaholics, you will understand.

  8. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers is an essential song to get pumped for a road trip!

  9. I guess I shouldn't have brought my katana in my carry on! You need protection against those plane hijackers though.

  10. State Farms are so fun! My favorite food at fairs are funnel cakes. MMMMMMM.
