I've been reading trip reports for as long as I've been predisposed to exploring altered states of consciousness (my entire adult life, or around/about 17 yrs), and yours, while shorter than I might've hoped, is one of the best that I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Thank you for sharing it. Maybe bc, consciously or not, it's just such an experience that I'm looking for whenever partaking in entheogenic sacrament(s). I've yet to go that high on the dosage with 4-aces but methinks it's about time to get comfortable with the idea. Did you combine anything else or were you under the influence of 4-aco-dmt only?

Also, you'll have to let us/me know what you think of the galaxy projector that you purchased. I looked long and hard at them for a while and due to the overwhelming amount of options, ended up going with a fairly simple (but rather impressive) sound reactive 12W RGB jobbie with like 48 LEDS (see below, I'm on mobile so I apologize if the link doesn't format correctly). Best $15 I've ever spent, hands down but I'd be willing to drop some more coin on a better one if the increased cost is justified. This one can be a bit much/intense at times and has 1 mode - ON. If plugged in = on. This has an added bonus of being very easy to operate regardless of my mental state but at times leaves one wanting for more options/settings, etc

A tv remote will often turn them on too. Fun fact

fiancee ordered them from amazon! here is the link for it. cool side note, they have a really neat lighting mechanism to sync to the music... hard to tell in this video because of so much going on but it works surprisingly well for how inexpensive they are

I dunno what your budget is like, but once I started writing I came up with more and more ideas, idk if any of these are what you had in mind but the more ideas the better!!

For the food table you could do either a skeleton or corpse made out of cloths with food as the various body parts, I've seen some cool variations on this theme. Like, cake brain, ribs in the rib section, sausages for the intestines, breadstick fingers and toes with "blood" marinara sauce, etc.

You could have syringe jello shots (either alcoholic or non alcoholic) and either some kind of green drink or green food, I saw a cool "toxic waste" mac n cheese that was just white mac n cheese dyed bright green.

For creepy specimens, you can make a head in a jar: http://www.instructables.com/id/head-in-a-jar-prank/

Or, you could get baby dolls from a thrift store or masks in a jar with green liquid too. You can also get get some beakers and fill them with brightly colored liquid and put dry ice in them. I've seen places like spirit or party city have fake body parts and organs in steak packaging like you get in the store, you could always leave some of those around =)

You can get glow in the dark paint to splatter on some sheets, or have a turned over lab beaker with radioactive goo "spilling" on a table. Hide glowsticks behind other decorations, or in some stuffed white rats and other animals to make them glow. Have science goggles scattered around. You could have some of those novelty electric globes like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004HFL73I
Or one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PNINNI

I'll add more if I think of anything else!!

So right now this is what I have:

2 sets of multicolored string lights with several light pattern settings, with one set wrapped around the perimeter of one wall and underneath my desk and the other wrapped around the perimeter of my ceiling and spiraling down my color changing floor lamp. And then I just got the rotating disco ball light the other day for that circle effect. It was much smaller than I was expecting, but has a wide range with the light.

Now I just need to hang stuff on the walls! I have several abstract paintings I was thinking about putting up. Maybe get some glow in the dark stars or something, too.

Maybe some warning signs/tape ("nuclear waste", "no trespassing", "caution!", that kind of stuff) covering some closet doors or something

Coloring the liquids in your beakers/flasks with food coloring. Bonus points for illuminating some of it (maybe glowsticks, or LEDs if you have them)

Electricity effects (i.e., plasma orbs) and fog/smoke effects (dry ice, fog machines)

Syringes, bloodied surgical tools/knives, severed limbs

Perfect crafts project for the person with an expensive lathe, a bandsaw, electrical equipment/tools, who doesn't care about symmetry, isn't epileptic, and has about 3 days with nothing to do but try to justify their purchases, because they can't afford to spend ten fucking dollars.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074Z7WCWW - Plugs in to an unused USB header on your motherboard.

Just search "USB light" on Amazon. There are a million cheap options.

I can't recommend cases as I haven't tried any. Other then a travel case just for having something to chuck it into on the go, I got the PDP case which looks nice and simple on the outside, however, the inside sucks as theres not much to hold the system. Just a net which I feel compressed the analog sticks too much.

However you may want to look into the silicon joycon covers, a lot of them have some extra meat on the bottom/back of the joycons, which would prevent some hand cramping. These are only for handheld mode though, and do not work in the comfort grip. I have pretty average sized hands, and the bare system in handheld mode does tend to cramp. However, a lot of complaints state that the extra 1/2inch or so of material on the surface of the joycons makes the buttons uncomfortably flat....so YMMV.

2 for 8$, and the application went well. I re-applied as there was a nasty dust speck in the middle of the screen, 2nd try I got the protector over the screen quite well, but the corner that I peeled up to take it off the first time must have lost some adhesive, so I'm constantly pressing it back down (but I can live with it as its in the black "border" section of the screen, and not on the view area)

They just had a disco light similar to this

I believe that was the suite that had the banner that said "HIIIIIIIII" - which I couldn't help but think was the lamest banner ever printed.

The Joy-Cons aren't bad, but from my experience the Pro Controller is a really great controller. It's got a conventional D-Pad, not so clicky shoulder buttons, and has much more spaced out and comfortable controls. I'd really recommend it myself.

A lot of people say you want more Joy-Cons for ARMS, but you gotta remember that you don't have to use Motion Controls. That in addition to the fact that the Pro Controller is cheaper than another set of Joy-Cons, I sincerely recommend it.

Aside from that, grab yourself a tempered glass screen protector (I got mine here), and a good case (this has to be hands-down the best one). Happy gaming!

Or buy one of these and have a blast just laying there staring at it for hours

u/BigBoyAndrew69 · 2 pointsr/Warhammer40k

It's just a novelty plasma orb. You can usually find them in gadget/toy stores.

This is probably the one OP has. He mentioned it could either be battery or USB powered, which that one is.

Wow, that's fancy. It wasn't that one. I linked mine above. It lasted me about 5 years then I bought a replacement which was even better which was maybe this one?.

Sounds fantastic so far.

In college we had one of those spinning light up disco ball things... Not even sure what to call it but it made every party better. Seems like it would feel very Miami (something like this?).

What about food and drinks? Can you make/have someone make little cuban sandwiches? Not sure about cocktails, but maybe something rum-based?

You could also get some of those plastic striped sunglasses and scatter them around to have people put on.

And don't forget the Miami playlist, including plenty of Will Smith obviously...

Also check out TripCity store online. I bought an expensive laser from here for house parties and it was pretty badass. They have tons of other trippy stuff besides lights.

I am getting way too excited now! I am running Windows 10. I will make sure to spam you if questions come up. I am looking at these items.

Not sure which lighting system yet, but definitely going with the string lights. Suggestions are welcome!
