I'd move her up a size just at night. I also buy the Huggies Overnites from amazon on Subscribe and Save delivered every 2 months, and we haven't had a SINGLE leak with those ever. NOTHING. They are so awesome.

We never had good luck with Baby Dry even during the day, for whatever reason. Maybe just the shape of babies. IDK.

Baby growth spurts are really exhausting. Also, this morning while I was nursing, I remembered these were once a thing, and I just want to hear Orlando's song for them.

Put this on a wish list and link it here. http://www.amazon.com/Huggies-Snug-Diapers-Economy-Count/dp/B00BCXF9EG/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1416508226&sr=1-2&keywords=diapers+size+5 I know the feeling about child support. My ex used to not pay in November and December so he could purchase a nice gift for his gf. What a piece of work he was.

Hey, I saw a lot of positive comments and I just wanted to sort of counter-balance them with my experience... I have to say, I'm a size 32 waist and under 120 lbs. I'm very tall and skinny, and I bought These from my local grocery store. I don't recall the exact size, but I know that the packaging looked exactly like what's shown at the link, so I'm fairly certain they were the XL size.

They were not very comfortable and did not contain flooding at all. They just felt way too small. I ended up giving the rest of them away because I realized that I was just wasting them by purging them.

Personally, I would have much rather spent the money on some Bambinos or, hell, even some Abenas...

I can understand wanting cutesy designs, but for me, comfort is my main concern, and my goodnites were not comfortable on me. Functionality comes in at a close second and every one of my goodnites leaked. (I always wet in the bathroom, so it was never a real issue). Cutesy looks come into play as well, but IMO the Bambinos have goodnites beat, tapes down. (lol, see what I did there? "Tapes," instead of "hands"? I made a joke that's relevant to our collective interest :P)

Pampers makes size 7 in their "Cruisers" style. Maybe look into those.

Pull-ups give the kid a sensation of wetness (which diapers don't) to help them know they've peed, so they are typically considered more leak-y and less absorbent. If you stick with the night-time ones, they have a different design that helps prevent bed-wetting compared to the daytime counterparts.

Diapers are always needed.

We use cloth at home (prefolds + Thirsties waterproof covers) and disposables when we go out. Having an in-unit washer is key for us. We just started using Bambo Nature disposables, and since we don't use very many, no leaks yet (fingers crossed) makes them worth the $$$. Our kiddo is tall and lean, so folding prefolds to fit and the high rise of Bambos work well for us.

We have twins, so the math and savings were pretty obvious - Disposable new born diapers - $21/76 count
which for our twins last 2 days (15+ diapers a piece a night at 10 weeks age). Over the last 8 weeks, that would be 6203.5=$560. Our cost for cloth was 4 dozen Osocozy prefolds at $26/dozen which is $104 plus 8x $10 for diaper covers
and another $10 for 10 snappies to close the prefolds with. Total cost was $190 vs 560 and we have another two months before they outgrow these!! No amount of laundry will hit $360 in cost even with the break-in 6x wash/dry cycle we did. If you can deal with managing the washer, it's a massive savings!!!

Our current wash method in an HE washer is 1 normal wash with 1/4 cup of detergent (dreft or store brand equivalent) and 1/4 cup baking soda on cold/cold with no spin (to keep the diapers soaked for the main wash), followed by a second normal wash on hot/hot + staincycle + extra rinse.

Takes about 3 hours but works out when you are up to change diapers at the same pace.
Edit - diapers each was changed from 30 to 15. The math is all correct.

If I won I would donate them to P.A.T.H. (People Assisting the Homeless) or some other homeless assistance organization in Los Angeles. Because homeless babies are a thing.

EDIT - Adding the link you provided (in this comment) in the thread you posted a month ago.

My list, highest is diapers. Health and beauty list, stinky free. It is kind of funny. I don't usually put much thought into the priority. Now, I need to go through all the lists, ;)

Usually when I go to the page for Pampers Swaddlers, it lets me choose between "one time purchase/buy new", "subscribe and save", and "buy open box". For instance, I'm looking at Pampers Swaddlers Size 3 (162 count) and it's 13 cents/diaper for subscribe and save, 14 cents/diaper for buy new, and 11 cents/diaper for buy open box.

What brand is that? We only ever used Pampers Pull-ups. There's no velcro, you tear it at the sides, after cleaning up the bum you roll it up, and secure with tape on the back. There's a video on the Amazon page I linked.

I somehow am overdrawn in my bank account for $250. Don't know how that happened but $200 seems to be bank fees. (I can provide proof through PM if needed) What the heck? I tried to be generous and offer help where I thought I could but I guess I miss judged and couldn't afford it after all. I could really use diapers for the 2 littles. I should be ok again by the 3rd week of January but I've got about 4 days of diapers left. I need size 4 for Brendan (2 years) and size 3 for Penelope (6 months). Thank you so much in advance!

Penelope: Pampers Swaddlers Diapers Size 3 Economy Pack Plus 162 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DFFT76U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_TmjGwbKMVFCFE

Yes, they are just a lot thicker and more absorbant than daytime diapers since they are meant to last a long time. And baby isn't awake and moving while wearing them, which may be uncomfortable in a thick diaper.

These are the ones that we use:

I don't quite understand why the pricing is the way it is, but it's actually cheaper to get a case of 120 than a bag of 60, and neither of the ones you added were Prime eligible. Please add this one to your list:

I'm going to need these when the baby gets here. Where's the aspirin

u/lorakeetH · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

Amazon actually breaks the prices down by diapers, too. Pampers Swaddlers look to be twenty-four cents each, less five percent if you subscribe, and you can get a free three month trial of Amazon Mom, which has free two-day shipping, and may take a little more off the price.

u/Divergent99 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I took a sip of something poison, but I'll hold on tight

Man I need a few things.. I need Diapers and Baby wipes for my daughter and I really need these so I can start working out and lose weight. And Frontline for my dogs.. Ugh seems like the list never ends. Thanks for this contest! You are so sweet for helping people out!

Andy Pandy bamboo diapers from Amazon. The company was started recently by a young family, they donate a certain percentage to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, the diapers are about as eco-friendly as it gets for disposables, and they are super soft and wicked absorbent. Our twins were waking up wet every morning and we tried half a dozen or more diapers until we stumbled on these and realized they are pure gold. They're not the cheapest diapers ($37 for a pack of 70), but they're oh. so. worth. it. Ours wear them exclusively, but you could totally just splurge for nighttime use. Oh, and ours still nurse overnight, if that further speaks to their absorbency.

EDIT: ...further speaks to the diaper's absorbency. Although, yes, clearly my children are pretty damn absorbent as well.

Twins is definitely an unfathomable arrangement until you find yourself faced with it! Actually, it's still pretty unfathomable most days...

We cloth diapered for the first nine months or so (we were washing them ourselves and I just couldn't keep up with it anymore--and I was totally cool off dealing with the poop once they started solids...full disclosure!), but it took us a long time to find a disposable that both worked and didn't make us hate ourselves for using. These bamboo ones are fucking AMAZING. I will seriously sing their praises till someone strangles me. Not only are they the most absorbent diapers we've ever tried, they are ridiculously soft and comfortable seeming, and the company is small and awesome. We can only get them online and they're not particularly cheap, but worth every penny. The brand is Andy Pandy:

Your friend isn't supposed to be having a baby shower after the first child. The presumption is that she knows she'll be having more kids, so she was smart enough to hang onto the stuff she needed from the first child.

Of course, these days a lot of people look at baby showers the way that they look at wedding showers--have as many as possible to get as many gifts as possible.

> have to go check out her registry to see which gold plated booger-sucker she NEEDS this time. FML.

Piss on that noise.

Go online and buy some good quality disposable diapers in different sizes ('cause you know the baby's going to grow into them eventually). I recommended Newborn Size and [Size 1]http://www.amazon.com/Luvs-Ultra-Leakguards-Diapers-Count/dp/B00DDMILGM/ref=sr_1_6?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1398453166&sr=1-6&keywords=diapers) in the economy packs if your budget can stand it.

Choose "This Purchase Is A Gift" Option, cough up the money for gift wrap, and ship it directly to your friend's house with a note congratulating her on the new baby, and offering your regrets that you can't make the shower.

Parents of new children always need disposable diapers. They need them for at least two years after the baby is born. Diapers are the single most practical gift you can give to the parent of a new child. Your friend may be silly enough to ask for gold-plated booger suckers, but trust me--one night in the very near future, when it's 3am and the kid needs to be changed again, she will sing your praises to the heavens.

Hi! This is a great idea. We'd love help with [diapers] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DDMIMUW?colid=3JEOPLDGQ68PT&coliid=I2P08EEM5XS2KK&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl), or [AA] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O869KJE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_img?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3JEOPLDGQ68PT&coliid=I2YQPZJ8PQSQLC&psc=1) and [AAA] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O869KJE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3JEOPLDGQ68PT&coliid=I2YQPZJ8PQSQLC&psc=1) batteries. The boys got a wii u on a Christmas subreddit that's going to be serviced for a month, and I would love batteries so they can play with one of their other gifts. They didn't break it. Nintendo thinks it was defective and has a battery or sensor issue. I'm on my phone, so please bear with me as I add wishlist items.

And by doing so, you support the way their treat their workers, because that box of 144 diapers isn't going to be $19.99 without it.

You want "fair" wages for Walmart employees, put your money where you mouth is: Amazon $0.21/Diaper. Yes, it's $0.08 more a diaper. That's a lot, but you have to remember where that money comes from.

Do you really think that Walmart can magically pay workers more without effecting the price of their product?

Most prime items are over priced. So you think you are really saving but you are not. You could save lots of money by not buying prime. The shipping times will be slower but that depends where their warehouse is located.

Examples
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00LULUYHC/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
non prime 1.35 lower.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B001HNNZMY/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new 50 cents lower, 10%!!! and not Add on item so you don't have to keep buying more to get prime.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00DBEONIM/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new 25 cents lower on a staple item.

Amazon is here to make money not to give you cheapest option and you are paying for 2 day convenience 1000 of dollars a year. and soon enough they will get rid of other sellers and you will be stuck overpaying even more.

So not only you are paying extra $99. You are paying more for most items. Win Win for Amazon.
