These are the markers I use, and the paper is

That being said, I found both at a flea market for significantly less than the Amazon Prices, which are reasonable. Look at an Arts and Crafts store and you will probably find something similar for cheap.

I used these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F5WR38M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And you erase with water!

Edit: those chalk markers are apparently sold out so here are some other ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F5VQR88/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ixyBDb59E3V3E
The ones I used have a 1mm tip

Plan B is getting an erasable chalk marker (think used car dealer) and writing "NOT GUEST PARKING" on their windshield.

I really liked these

They have a reversible tip so you get both round and chisel tip, which gives you an incredible amount of line options.

I used a chalk marker! It's easier to make clean lines with it compared to regular chalk. I got it from Michael's, but you can also order it from Amazon. :)

I used these markers on my seating chart, bar menus, card box, miscellaneous signage—basically all of my glass crafts! I free-handed the names, but I used an additional strip of masking tape spanning the width of the whole frame (not shown in the above photo) to make sure everything was straight and on the same level... like I wrote the top row of table names, then the first name in every table, then the second, etc. I think it really made it go faster.

I got the mirror for $50 on Craigslist!

I used this spray paint from Michaels- http://www.michaels.com/krylon-chalkboard-paint/M10170180.html?dwvar_M10170180_color=Black#q=chalkboard+paint&start=1
I bought Chalktastic (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W3OBU3C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and Chalk Markers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014BP31GO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but neither seemed to work for me. I tried it on some cardboard I had put underneath the bottles so it was covered in the spray paint, but it wasn't working with that. Maybe I'll try it on a white board in my office or something to see if it'll at least work on another kind of surface.

Here is a list of costs for the chalkboards:

Chalkboards - these were $29.99 when I bought them

Pack of 4 Chalkboard Markers, fine tip - $11.99

Transfer paper - $13.68

For the candles we repurposed wine bottles, cut them down with a circular saw and sanded them with a sander. I got all my wax, wicks, and fragrance from Candle Science. I can't remember the quantities I had to buy and use because we have been making them on and off for over a year.

I don't know anyone, but in case you don't find anyone look into getting a liquid chalk pen/marker (if you didn't/haven't already) they'll help steady things out. Also google some chalkboard typography for inspiration on a good layout. Love the look of the store!
