for anyone that has recently won the lottery lately, here it is on amazon:

I had the same question. It almost looks like loose pigments.

Maybe something like this?

Oh yeah, put too much time into it to just erase. Made an 11" x 17" stencil that I printed, cut out, and taped to the lectern. Traced that with some chalk I bought a few years ago; outlined in white, removed the stencils and then filled in with red, then orange, then yellow. I'm really happy with how it came out.

Deciding if I want to put anything at the bottom.

Amazon is great for these kind of things. If you want colors without spending a small fortune on a super high quality chalk, one like this would be a good choice:

I'll add to this as I find things!

For both of them:

I'm aiming for both of them in these because summer is coming! You mentioned not really having a yard so these could be "park only" toys. Stuff to get them outside and keep them active during summer break!

WOWmazing Kit (3-Piece Set) | Incl. Big Bubble Wand, Giant Bubble Concentrate and Tips & Trick Booklet | Outdoor Toy for Kids, Boys, Girls | Bubbles Made in the USA

[Huge Rainbow Kite For Kids - One Of The Best Selling Toys For Outdoor Games Activities - Good Plan For Memorable Summer Fun - This Magic Kit Comes w/ 100% Satisfaction] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012D3PN7G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api) - there are SOOO many shapes and things to choose from on Amazon when it comes to kites!

These are for both of them as well since they both enjoy art ❤️

I recently did one of these Diamond art things, it's time consuming and relaxing! There are quite a few other designs to choose from as well!

I was gifted these and they are amazing! If a mistake is made it's super easy to fix it because these are so flexable!

And this or something similar because Rylee enjoys singing

While your experimenting, try out the brand Pentel Arts. You can get a box of 50 for under $5 through Amazon prime. They are student quality. After you get a taste and opinion of what that set is lacking, research professional grade.

The pastels are Faber-Castell set of 36 pastel pencils :-)

I would DEFINITELY go with the colored pastels. You obviously love to draw and pastels make everything better!

yeah, this is a set I used for a piece I did a while ago. I also used a blending stump to smooth mine out, although my canvas was white originally. Took me stupidly long to do, because I was copying a picture by hand, which took like an hour, along with 2 or 3 to actually colour it.

These are pastels though.

Mungyo Pastels:

They can be found relatively cheap on Amazon, start chipping away with a hobby knife and convert it into dust-like powder and apply with an old brush.

Yay!

Thank you!

Just from going on Amazon, these seem to be pretty good, based on reviews (plus you can choose the size). As for techniques, I unfortunately can't help you there as I don't use pastels myself. And who to draw next, I suggest Buu. He's one of my favorite villains.

Hope I was at least a little helpful!

> My JustNoMom passed away unexpectedly and I've been dealing with the emotional fallout from that

Ugggggh, I'm so sorry. Every day I wake up wishing that mine was dead, but I honestly don't think I'd be so excited if she ever actually died. I think the only way to process stuff like that, and ensure it's not negatively impacting the rest of the life you've built, is to get a solid therapist that you can really talk things out with, and focus some of the more fun aspects of your existing life - or create scenarios in which you're needed and feel appreciated. I think combating the bad you saw in your mother - with good in yourself - probably sounds like a fairy tale, but I mean doing things like becoming a CASA (Google CASA + your county/large city near you), or volunteering at an animal rescue. Put yourself in a situation where you can be the best you, that mutually benefits both yourself and another.

> Don't feel bad, either, I knew that it was just a matter of time before y'all stepped in and sorted things out

Pfft, m not smart enough to figure it out - the smart people and the "creepy hobby" mods did. All I'm responsible for is a few reports showing inconsistencies in the few sentences I'd read because I don't usually look at usernames before reading or replying to posts (partly because I'm honestly trying not to be biased in any way, and partly because I'll never remember because I've got MS).

> I find that I connect much better with you guys over here more than /r/raisedbynarcissists

Tell me about it... Might I suggest trying /r/raisedbyborderlines as well if your mother's got a cluster-B disorder? I used to think mine was an actual narcissist, but after I started talking to my dad about it, he told me her actual diagnosis was BPD (which was confirmed by several therapists butt she never accepted treatment...). That's how I ended up visiting, and it's so warm and comfy compared to raisedbynarcissists it's unreal.

> maybe you could help me

Anytime!

> they thought that their JustNo would "be around for another twenty years to bother her"

Hey I vaguely remember that, let's see if my Google-fu is awake yet...

This one maybe? "Distressed and Stressed" - some great comments:

This is the predawhore series, it's also got some great stories in the comments...

Or maybe it's from one of the "Hag" series?

Sorry I failed at Google-Fu today... It's early and I'm going in for a full day of mouth surgery stuff that's freaking me out and I've barely gotten anything I wanted to done this weekend... I'm going to blame the MS, but I think part of it isn't the fatigue but actually laziness from being scared.

> but maybe you could use your fantastic mod powers

Aww you're so sweet! I'm not a mod though, you can contact them by sending a PM to /r/JustNoMIL though. They are absolutely fantastic and can probably help/use their collective powers to assist.

I hope you feel better, and I'd say definitely go ahead and post when you feel comfortable. There's always going to be shitty people saying shitty things, but you've survived growing up with a mother like that - you're not as delicate as you think (I'm not meaning to be playing therapist here, but I've done the same, and even when I'm most vulnerable, I've noticed I'm still far more "durable" than I give myself credit... I'm willing to bet you are as well!). Just let any comments you don't like, fall to the bottom and get voted out of your mind, and take the points/advice/support from the ones you do like, and grab a colour pastel and draw a pretty picture of the words... I've always loved oil pastels, and I'll use them often now as a therapy tool, to literally make pictures of words (cause I suck at drawing).

I hope you have an amazing week! Don't forget to take a few minutes every hour or so, regardless of where your are, to just be alone and take care of yourself. Even if you've got to excuse yourself from a conversation, you matter more than finishing it right now. Also remember to take that break, even if you don't feel like you need to - you might not need to, but you should anyways because you're entitled to, and you are more important.

I'd like to offer huge, warm, sincere hugs - if you'd like some.
