I don’t have an Oasis, but I do have the regular version of this sleeve. I love it. It’s not too big. Very high quality.

Walnew Case I have been using while I patiently await an official case refresh. The only problem I've had with it is that it sometimes turns on kindle with magnets when you put in the case, so you have to make sure it didn't switch on the device when putting away.

I personally don't like cases; they make holding the kindle heavier. It feels heavy over time.

I think instead a sleeve works really well. It protects it during transportation and you can pull it out when you're reading.

I got this and it's been really good.

I love Holidays!

Oh, I actually have an answer for this one! I'm so excited! :)

Some years ago, my bf and my parents went to Mecixo for a week! Not the Cancun style, spring break crap. We were four hours south of Cancun, actually. At this place called the Mayan Beach Garden! Though, it doesn't look the same as it did when I went, it's much much prettier now! The year we went, it was destroyed by a hurricane some months later :( but they rebuilt, and are lovely! We even donated to the rebuild, and they said that they would hold that as a credit for when we come back! They are so nice there!

They used to do restaurant style breakfast and dinner, where you choose from a menu. But dinners were family style. You had two choices, and everyone at the complex (maybe 25 if everything was full) sat together at a big long table and talked about their day! It was wonderful, and I want to go back!

We even got to climb on Mayan pyramids that hadn't been completely excavated yet! They were much more awesome than the ones that had manicured lawns and seemed fake.

My bf and I enjoyed just hanging out on the porch of our cabaña, it opened right onto the beach. It was so beautiful there! I loved it so much!

This is a rather large collection of photos on Flickr I put up of our trip right after we came back! There are a lot of pics there, and they've been there for some years! :) We don't look like that anymore either! ;)

We went because it was my 30th birthday, my dad's 60th birthday. My parents's had just had their 30 wedding anniversary the year before, and my bf had also turned 30 the year before. We thought it was a momentous year and a half, so we did something really special!

---

Here's something I can use! (any color) It's Prime and less than $10. It's on my "General Wishlist". :) Or you can choose something else! :)

I've been wanting to look for a skin for my Oasis II, but haven't had the spare time. Currently I use it naked but store it in a [Walnew sleeve] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H11FL7?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf)

Im going to check out your link later. Thanks!

Edit: I can never remember how to do links!

Try to buy an old kindle for $10-$35 and trade it in to get 25% off a new oasis. plus $5/$25/$50 trade in credit for trade-in depending on age/type of kindle.

Depending on Oasis 3 version getting you can save $67-$92... this saving I put towards the 3-year insurance and a sleeve

just make sure to select gift option when ordering it so it does not link to account right away

I searched through a ridiculous number of products in search of the same type of case last month. There really aren't many choices for the Oasis, but I did find two pre-made products with some potential:

  1. Moko Envelope Sleeve - Only comes in black and I'm not sure how 'stiff' it is. So, any protective qualities are questionable. Comments from reviews claim that it slides around a little bit. I wonder if using some foam would resolve that. Otherwise, it's probably the best option available.
  2. CaseBot Sleeve - This is a sub-brand of Fintie and they no longer seem to offer the more neutral colors like brown or black. Again, not sure how 'stiff' it actually is. The main difference here is that it has no flap on top and that there are embedded magnets to support auto-sleep/wake. This feature probably won't work with the Oasis 3 since the magnet is in a different location. Comments from reviews state that the magnet protrudes too much and causes issues too, but maybe it could be removed. I'm more worried about the device sliding out of the sleeve and getting damaged.

I actually seem to be following in your footsteps with my Oasis 3 too. I ordered a thick leather sleeve so I could read without an attached case. I haven't really put it through anything rough yet. It's a tight fit so I'm hesitant to keep using it and kind of looking for a replacement already.

Would you mind sharing which sleeve you use? I'd be interested to check it out. Also, let me know if you find any other cases that I didn't list above. Or if you do buy one, I'd love to hear what you think about it later.

Anyways sorry for the long reply but I hope this helps!

I have a Moko and KIntie for my patperwhite.

For my old kindle I had [one like this] (https://smile.amazon.com/M-Edge-Canvas-Latitude-Jacket-Amazon/dp/B006G6W6J0/) which worked well, for years. Looks like they have options for Paperwhite. I liked the full surround zipper and inside slim pocket.

Maybe that will work for you?

Octovo sleeve is great and allows naked reading. I also like their Solis light, which takes a AA battery and covers the Kindle evenly. A Three Feet easel completes my Kindle happiness.

I couldn't either so I bought one of these. Super cheap and it does the job of at least protecting it in my laptop bag.

My current case is leather, but of course it only opens in a letterbox orientation. Even so, it stands up very well and is generally well-constructed. I got through Amazon.com for $18.74, for my non-HD 7" Kindle.

I wish the leather of my current Kindle Fire case were more like that of my previous Kindle (3rd Generation, not-Fire) case-- but the black was a trade-off I had to make.
