I had constant eye bags like this, maybe even worse. Stressful job with alternative day and night shifts. Getting a better job helped immensely but I asked a girl for what I could buy that could help and that worked a bit. Also helps that I wear glasses that make them less obvious.

This was the product .. or at least similar. It's not magic, took 2-3 weeks to notice a real difference.

I have an ice roller for a similar purpose! It's bigger and colder than a jade roller (though not as aesthetically pleasing unfortunately), and the shape and size are perfect for pressing on your eyes.

Another question just because there's a lot I want to know!

I have very bad undereye circles and have tried everything to fix them. They're hereditery so I'm not sure if they can be "fixed", so I just try to cover them up for now. Someone in /r/makeupaddiction suggested the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller. Do products like that actually work or is it all hype?

u/chemkara · 6 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Creams containing Caffeine can help with depuffing the eye area. The Ordinary and The Inkey List make affordable ones.

I suggest you also get one of these rollers, keep it in the fridge and use the small part to massage your cream in.

u/txjuliet · 6 pointsr/Makeup

If you are near a Sephora try them. Or look for something like this Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer, Brightener 60, 0.2-fluid Ounce
http://amzn.com/B004Y9GY44 or Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller, 0.50 Fluid Ounce
http://amzn.com/B001DPMETG at a local
Drugstore. Walgreens as a great return policy by the way.

Get a couple of the maybelline concealers that you think are close to your shade. It's hard sometimes in the store to get the right shade. I typically buy 2 or 3 that I think are close and take the ones that don't match back. These have a built in applicator.

Also gossmakeupartist on YouTube has some great tutorials on covering dark circles.

u/[deleted] · 5 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Dirt cheap and work amazingly. This is the one I used to use before I lost it. Other than amazon you can find them literally anyplace that has a makeup/skincare area. Target, Sephora, etc.

Wearing concealer without foundation is a thing!

My friend had horrible puffiness and dark circles and she would use a roller with concealer.

https://www.amazon.com/Garnier-SkinActive-Clearly-Brighter-Anti-Puff/dp/B001DPMETG/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_bs_lp_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=M5CXX9M72JZB93P3AWTR&th=1

This one was for specifically for anti-puffiness but Garnier also makes just a concealer one.

https://www.amazon.com/Garnier-Anti-Dark-Circle-Roller-Medium/dp/B00778LVGA

The roller will soothe the skin as well.

Also something to keep in mind, the makeup trend now is to have concealer that is lighter than your skin tone to brighten under your eyes WITH foundation. If you just want to cover the dark circles you need to find a concealer that matches your skin tone otherwise it does look a little strange.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

If you have dry/sensitive skin and live in dry climate, I would suggest to only rinse your face with cold water in the morning.

In your morning routine, I would apply the Cosrx essence after Klairs toner. The oil would prevent the essence from absorption. In the winter (AM) I would also add a barrier repairing element (Stratia Liquid Gold, CeraVE PM lotion [4% niacinimide], or Dr. Jart Ceramide products) to maintain the moisture in the dry indoor/outdoor climate.

Consider Laneige skin cream for extra moisture in the winter AM.

In the PM routine, again, I would apply the Cosrx essence right after Klairs toner. I don't have sensitive skin so all of the TO retinol in squalane is very gentle on my face. I have since moved on to A313 a French OTC Vitamin A pommade. This pommade is very occlusive so you may not need to use the Cicaplast Baume unless your skin is very irritated. After this tube I'm considering moving onto tretinoin. If you are interested in A313 then read this post by TheSkincareEdit.

For a stand alone SPF I love my EltaMD UV Shield Broad-Spectrum SPF 45. It's a physical UV filter so my eyes aren't irritated even if I get up close to the lower lash. It uses nano zinc oxide as a filter, so there will be some white cast but it subsides after 5-10 minutes (I don't mind it). You can use it on your arms as well and it is very hydrating.

If you are concerned with anti-aging treatment then you cannot neglect the eyes. I use ColorScience Total Eye 3-in-1 (I would shop a better price than Amazon). I would apply Dr. Brenner L-Ascorbic up to my lash line and use an eye SPF to prevent pigmentation around my eyes. TO caffeine and ECGC serum is really good for puffy eyes - one drop for both eyes. TO also has argireline which tightens the skin (been described as botox in a bottle). This is on my wishlist to try next. Niod Fractionated eye contour concentrated is a good product for your eye. Copper peptide is also good for anti-aging. TO has it in the new Buffet formula or the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate. The copper peptide, supposedly, keeps your skin in a state of repair. See review here.

u/xxstealyourface · 3 pointsr/cripplingalcoholism

Damn good fashion advice. I'll have to remember that. For the dark circles (go ahead have a field day with this one) I use this

u/ghettolicious · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I have oily skin - After I bought all these products and using them for weeks, my skin improved a bit, but I was still unsatisfied with how oily my skin was and overall clarity. I knew that using these products are strictly superficial and that if I wanted to see real significant change, I would have to adjust my lifestyle. Since then I've been exercising more regularly, eating more vegetables, and drinking more water.. Wowwwwww like srs some days I wake up and I'm just amazed at how much my skin is glowing! Of course I still have some problem areas. For example, my dark circles haven't been improving because they're partly genetic and I get around 6-7 hours of sleep a night -_-. I'm a work in progress!!!

AM SKINCARE ROUTINE

  1. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser - it does a good job of removing all my sweat and oil and products off my face in the morning without making my face dry
  2. Thayers Rose Petal Toner - basic, but does the job and adds a bit of hydration after I shower
  3. HadaLabo Hydrating Lotion - has hyaluronic acid, so it’s best to use that when your face is still moist. Helps my products absorb better!
  4. Fourth Ray Remedy - 10% niacinamide serum. This is a new product by them, and I was REALLY excited to try it. After a few weeks, I have noticed a slight reduction in my forehead pores. My nose pores are still big though lol. I brush my teeth for a couple mins after this step to let the products soak into my skin
  5. Naturie Skin Conditioning Gel - I wouldn’t recommend for dry skin.. it’s the perf amt of moisture and it dries/absorbs fast
  6. N7 Lift & Luminate eye cream - hmm... it’s fine I’ll prob buy again because it’s relatively cheap and it’s often on sale with Target Cartwheel. It’s a light eye cream so it’s perf for the day time
  7. Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel SPH 50 - super light! I have to use a moisturizer though, I know some people use it alone. Has alcohol, but my face hasn’t gotten dry or tight w it on

    PM NIGHTCARE ROUTINE

  8. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (if I look gross/wearing a lot of makeup) OR Garnier Micellar Water: hate the smell of DHC because it’s like a mix of bamboo chopsticks and olive oil... does a great job of removing waterproof makeup, though you gotta rub it in for a while. The micellar water also does a good job of removing water proof makeup. I never feel gross after using it
  9. CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser - I love this so much! My skin doesn't feel stripped at all. When I'm not lazy or if I wore a lot of makeup I use the Solo Mio (aka bootleg Foreo mini). It does a great job of gently washing my face AND the battery life is great . I like it more than my old Clarisonic Mia.
  10. Thayers Rose Petal Toner or The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner (rotate) - the glycolic acid burns my face sometimes, feels like a very mild allergic reaction.. but after I put on essence the burning stops
  11. CosRX Snail Mucin Essence - very hydrating, my products soak better into my skin
  12. The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid (if I'm NOT using the glycolic acid toner) - it’s anti aging but I really can’t tell if it’s working? I like how it’s an oil based formula so it adds a little moisture
  13. Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream - basic eye cream I’m trying to finish asap. Has a beautiful glass container, but it’s unsanitary to use if you don’t have a spatula
  14. Acure Night Cream or Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide cream - I love the DE one! Light yet moisturizing, and it feels great on my face. The Acure one smells like herbal medicine.. I think it made my skin glow a bit
  15. Physician's Formula Bright Booster Oil Elixir - only if I used a clay mask or if my skin was dry for some reason. It helps seal all of moisture inn
  16. Jade Roller whenever I'm not lazy... sooooo maybe 2x a week. It feels so nice and cold on the face after I stick it in the fridge for a few hours

Lmk if anyone has any questions!

I've been sleeping better since getting on medication for it, but the meds seem to bloat me up worse. So annoying. Some times, if I have had a really bad day, I will take some melatonin before bed, just to help increase my odds of sleeping. Because the bloated looking face and bags are one thing, but I have chronic dry eye as well, and when I don't sleep well enough, I spend the next day with all the regrets while my eyes are in pain and my tear ducts are running around trying to build a tear supply with no materials.

I have this one, and then I also have one that looks exactly like this one that a friend brought me back on a trip to Japan. Then I also have a set of these things, but mine have slightly longer handles. I bought them at a local spa.

u/hamsandwichwoman · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

Yup. Mine is exacerbated by a bleeding disorder and this time I got it in both eyes (three weeks ago, one is still there). I have one of these ice face rollers that is magical - ESARORA Ice Roller for Face & Eye, Puffiness, Migraine, Pain Relief and Minor Injury, Skin Care Products https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E8IZ4ZA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ljOyDbCBRJM8Q

I second this! Numb that face up! I had an ice roller that helped with pain and swelling.

/r/wickededge is honestly quite snobby when it comes to their gear. Safety razor shaving is such a cost efficient way to shaving it's ridiculous. A pack of 100 blades will run you 10-12 bucks. I recommend Astros, it's what I use personally and what I use in the shop. I use https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NL0T1G/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472843191&sr=8-1&keywords=safety+razor&pi=SY200_QL40 as my safety razor in the mornings. Very well balanced and made to last. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000G647Y8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472843342&sr=8-1&keywords=beaver+hair+brush&pi=SY200_QL40 gets the job done and is cheap to replace after a couple years of use. You'll want one of these for drying of the brush and to keep the razor off of the table https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SA7NVPG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472843397&sr=8-1&keywords=razor+brush+stand&pi=SY200_QL40. And a ceramic bowl for lathering https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00TKIW3R6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1472843474&sr=8-3&keywords=lather+bowl&pi=SX200_QL40. There are tons of YouTube videos on how to shave properly so watch a few of those to get you starter. Hope this helps!!

You guys should try one of these: http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Paris-Expert-Hydra-Energetic-0-33-Fluid/dp/B003ZBK8EO

It has helped my puffiness/dark circles. Should be able to find it locally too.

u/yueeechan · 2 pointsr/beauty

Undereye rollerballs that depuffs such as this should help

u/renny7 · 2 pointsr/AskReddit

Get one of those roller pen things that are supposed to get rid of them. My gf had a few, and I use it if I have class, or something around a bunch of people after not sleeping very much. It works very well for me, and feels cool when you put it on.

Edit: this thing

u/Ax2 · 2 pointsr/malegrooming

Sure thing. Basically, you can't always get rid of them. Mine are just genetic and no matter how much sleep I get, they're there.

I just use this roll on stuff from Garnier. It's pretty simple to use and isn't too expensive. Just roll a bit on your upper and lower eyelids and blend it by dabbing with your finger. No need to go super heavy, a little goes a long way. The big thing is to make sure that it blends into your skin.

u/akkawwakka · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

This Garnier eye roller is good too. It's basically a liquid concealer. I rub it on my finger and carefully dab on around my eyes. Looks nothing like makeup. Completely imperceptible.

u/shoeslayer · 2 pointsr/pics

Here you go.

It's simple, minimal, requires no knowledge or understanding of make up, and makes a huge difference. Just a dab under your eyes, you smear it a little, and you're good to go. I also have dark circles under my eyes and it has nothing to do with sleep, it's genetic. I find that using this to hide them just makes me look so much better.

Edit: also, you can use it while in the bathroom or something. Nobody needs to know.

u/butseriouslyfolks · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

This is the Garnier thing she's talking about. My (male) roommate and I both use it and it does a pretty good job of covering circles and cooling/perking up the under eye area. I'm pretty fair and he's more medium but this one shade works for both of us. Just roll it under your eyes in the morning, blend with your ring finger and you should be set.

u/Hazeldd · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

eyebag rollers

There are a bunch of tools, even clarisonic now has a face massager thingy!

Ive also used those gel eye masks that you can put in the fridge

I think these are the ones that may shrink eye puffiness and make your eye bags less bulging, more permanent tx would be fat removal

u/msdietcoke · 1 pointr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

This might not help with the darkness but I love this. I've noticed it really does help with puffiness, which can contribute to the prominence of dark circles. It's also moisturizing. You can then follow with a light, orange-based concealer to help cancel out the blue tones.

u/WutsThisOverhere · 1 pointr/amiugly

This is the product I use: https://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Paris-Expert-Energetic-Anti-Fatigue/dp/B003ZBK8EO . It definitely helps to make the area under your area lighter. Don't know if they sell it where you live but it's on amazon so...

u/greentanzanite · 1 pointr/FreeCompliments

Sure! [this one](Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Anti-Puff Eye Roller, 0.5 fl. oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DPMETG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lcjcBb6E6DG0V) has caffeine to help de-puff too.

I mean, I'm sure it would look cute shorter too, I just like it a little shaggy!

u/utore · 1 pointr/malegrooming

http://www.amazon.com/Nivea-Revitalizing-Roller-5-Ounce-Bottles/dp/B001J6O3LG

I've been using this for a month and I am seeing an improvement with my dark circles. I put it on after taking a shower or washing my face with hot water. It seems to work better when your skin is more porous and blood vessels are less restricted.

u/spazmodic- · 1 pointr/IsItBullshit

The two active ingredients here are UVA and UVB sunscreen compounds. The rest are just normal moisturisers or products found in moisturisers.

Considering some of the causes, I don't think you're going to be able to sunblock or moisturise your way out of it!
