Do you have any white or light-colored trim in your house? Painting the fireplace a light neutral would really help it not feel so heavy. Ideally, I'd replace the mantle with a stained wood one that matches your floor or kitchen wood.

For cable management, we have this in black and like it.

For decorating the mantle, if you have some books to stand up on one side and something heavy to use as a bookend, that would be nice. And then on the other side, something tall or sculptural. Try taking the hanging pictures down for a week or two and let the wall breath.

I've definitely done this more than I care to admit:

Use safcord Velcro strips.

Edit: if you leave gaff on carpet for 9 weeks, it might leave goo behind

I'm sure there are but they're going to be expensive.

You have two cheaper options.

First is cable floor conduits. I don't know how that would play with your wheelchair but I can attest that these can withstand quite a bit of pressure.

Second is to run the cable up along a wall with cable clips. You said you didn't have anyone that could help, I'd suggest asking a friend or making friends with someone. Even just offering someone a sixpack to help you out would be fair, it's a ten minute job and all you need is a hammer.

I have no experience with Ssscat and not certain if it is safe. If you are looking for a spray - try one in this video.

Chewing cables is not destructive really, it's just something all bunnies do when cables are exposed. You simply need to try to proof the.

For chargers - get some chew proof charging cables here (we all forget to hide those, so it's good thing to have) - https://www.fusechicken.com/

Now I think there are way to bunny proof your wires on the floor:

  1. Something like this is great if you can make it work in the space config you have... sims like this would be perfect if the wires run along the floor. Sold in any home depot or lows with many length and corners and all those things
  2. Or try something like this - https://www.amazon.com/D-Line-Cable-Cord-Management-Length/dp/B008466PN8
  3. Look on amazon - they make things to help you.

Most important point - bunnies are smart and they need toys to entertain them and stay out of trouble. In the absence of good things to chew they will chew the other things - chewing and digging is their natural instinct, so the solution is not to spot them, but to provide alternatives specifically meant for them to chew and dig and to reinforce them using it. Bunnies are very food-motivated so you can use food to train them to do what you want them to do. :)I will mention some things to buy and make for toy for your bun below - don't think you need to get everything - start with some basic things and rotate toys to keep her interested. They do really understand positive reinforcement and build positive associations when you redirect bad behavior and reward good behavior. So you have to actively and diligently train the bunny overtime not to chew and dig the wrong things. Anytime you see digging or chewing, immediately try to offer a toy or some alternative instead and reward with a small treat when it works. This does need to be done very diligently each time you see him do things like that.

So what to give as toys?

  4. Bunnies like exporting type toys - tunnels, cardboard houses, willow and hay balls, chews, and treat puzzles . The two thread below have examples:
    1. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/an8cut/rabbit_room_ideas/
    2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/ajf2vl/how_to_enrich_my_rabbits_life/
  5. Also a couple suggestions below that are my personal favorites and all buns tend to enjoy:
    1. Treat/pellets ball - feed pellets in it vs a bowl
    2. Nesting cups - hide little treat bits between stacked cups, I have not met a bun who doesn't love these
    3. Plastic slinky - most buns love these
    4. Play house
    5. Dig box
  6. Also try homemade things - the best I found was an empty egg carton stuffed wit favorite greens for him to figure out how to open. :)
    1. Or something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/be338f/diy_pellet_dispenser/
    2. Or a homemade castle like this person did https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/bcl9p4/cardboard_castle/ - she has instructions on how to make one, send her a message.
  7. Chew toys specifically - there are what you need to get to offer as alternatives to him chewing furniture!
    1. Willow and hay balls are great - good quality ones here https://shop.smallpetselect.com/collections/natural-toys-and-chews-for-rabbits
    2. They also have these logs where you can hide treats and pellets for fun - the bun would love to chew those I think and they last too. :)
    3. Great quality toys that are super fragrant and yummy to chew here https://www.farmerdavepetsupply.com/toys
    4. And thicker good chew sticks here https://www.farmerdavepetsupply.com/chew-sticks

Floor cable cover or something similar should do it.

Looks something like this.

These are what I have in my craft/rat room and seem to be working. My girls love chewing cords and I haven't noticed any new problems since using these.

I use this, mounted to the rear of my desk, to handle cables that run the length of the table top. Cables all exit on the right side of the desk and run down one leg:

I use this to handle cables that run across my floor (live in apartment, can't build them into the wall):

I used this to wrap/bundle my cables when they are too long:

Maybe:

and/or maybe:

https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-12mmx8mm-Flexible-Corrugated-Conduit/dp/B0197X1U6S

But they're probably a bit heavy, flexible, limiting, and generally annoying. Note that the vive has standard cable connections, so you can just replace all the wires if they break, and use a cable wrap/sleeve to merge the three cords into one:

This could be anything from duct tape to something like this, unless I am misunderstanding the question.

u/StellarValkyrie · 1 pointr/InteriorDesign

Yeah that would be the downside since installing an outlet in the middle of of the floor probably isn't an option for OP but they can use a cord cover like this.

u/Jsmooth65 · 1 pointr/hometheater

My wires are ziptied into a single strand, and then hidden underneath a carpet cord cover. It velcros to the carpet and doesn't move. Only works with certain carpets. Mine's berber.

Thats what you see coming from each front speaker to the stand, and then to the window wall, along the window wall, back to the seats, etc.

The power tool cable is standard so it should be easier to fit around corners, you can also use most styles of romex connectors with it safely. It can be bought by the foot at most home improvement stores. (Assuming your in the US, I've found menards has the best prices if you buy a pre cut length of 25 or 50ft) the only thing is depending on what style of wire attachment the outlets have, you might need to use solid wire to make pigtails to the outlets.
Cable https://www.menards.com/main/electrical/electrical-cords-cord-management/extension-cords/cerrowire-reg-sjoow-portable-power-cable/283-3603a/p-1444439081484.htm

Using a wire protector from one of the legs to the wall (preferably close as possible to a wall outlet) would virtually eliminate any issues there. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Floor-Cable-Cover-Protector-Sidewalks/dp/B079M4SJ39

[Maybe these things?] (https://www.amazon.com/Drop-Trak-Cable-Hose-Protector/dp/B00JGYO7HI) around here they would probably grow legs and wander off in the night.
