Dr. Scholl's Odor Destroyers Deodorant Foot Spray. It keeps my feet from sweating as much, which in turn prevents the wretched hoof stink. This plus no-show socks should help a lot.

I have ballet flats that will stink if I wear them too long so I will dose them with a good powdering of this stuff link. I tap out the show before I wear the shoes and the stink is gone.

Yes ! Moisture wicking underwear!

I work as a delivery driver in the hot and humid south and crotch rot has always been a painful/infuriating problem.

Lotions make this WORSE! I found out the hard way. I had a bad case of crotch rot every day after working a few hours so I put some lotion on it. Turns out your skin is inflamed and broken out because of the friction and moisture. You need to be DRY! I ended up with a yeast infection which is awkward as a dude.

But sometimes fancy underwear aren't enough...

So every morning I put Fresh Balls or Anti Monkey Butt on m'parts to keep me dry. They both work wonderfully, but the Fresh Balls is a lot less messy.

But sometimes fancy underwear and powders combined aren't enough... Fuck me.

So I keep Gold Bond Medicated Powder: Extra Strength in the truck. Just in case. The stuff has menthol and it super soothing.

I hope these tips help some people. And please let me know if you have any more tips!

Like. Pretty please.

I always put some Goldbond foot powder on my feet (even between the toes) before putting the shoe on. If I find that my feet are extra sweaty that day, I'll throw some more foot powder on. If you use too much, though, your shoes will get all gritty and gross on the inside; just put some in your hand and rub it all over your foot.

Shoe stink in boat shoes is inevitable, but not wearing your shoes every day definitely helps. You can even throw some dryer sheets in there while you're not wearing them to help out (well, I don't know if this actually helps, but I do it anyway).

Grab some sneaker balls / shoe spheres. Since your shoes are already stinky, they probably won't do too much but hopefully it won't get any worse. Next pair always store your shoes with the deodorizer in them.

To get rid of the current smell I've heard of leaving a sock full of expensive kitty litter for a while, or baking soda/vinegar treatments.

It's not good for you or the shoes to wear them on consecutive days. Get another pair or two or FIVE. WTF?

That said, Kiwi makes a thing called Fresh Force Shoe Freshener - it's the same type of thing they use in bowling alleys, but in a more convenient format.

I think you’re over thinking this; it’s really not that complicated. I apply after a cool shower because cool showers help close pores so I sweat less. I take a cool shower in the morning, and another shower after I run. I then apply powder if I think I might get sweaty after my shower. You can apply when you’re dry or when you’re a little damp, either is fine. Don’t apply when you’re soaking wet, but other than that it’s really hard to screw up. You literally just apply powder if you’d like to sweat less, whenever and wherever you want.

Give this a try if you want to smell manly. I’ll cost you $3.50 and you’ll smell like menthol.

I had stinky feet my entire life and stinky shoes! I tried everything people have mentioned here (baking soda, essential oils, vinegar etc). The best solution I've ever found is Gran's Remedy Foot Powder. I bought it on Amazon. It's a little pricey but this little tub will last you a long time. And the best part is you only have to use it for a week and then everything should be good for about 6 months. https://www.amazon.com/Grans-Remedy-Foot-Smelly-Footwear-x/dp/B008F4NV72
