Wash and condition beard, just be sure they're for made for beards. Regular hair shampoo will wreak havoc on your face. Also use a beard oil and brush.

Wash face twice a day. I exfoliate my forehead and nose once a week; any areas I shave I exfoliate once every two weeks in the shower, prior to shaving or I don't shave that day to prevent irritation.

If you don't have a grooming routine, get one going and make it a habit; being clean is half the battle.

If you use perfume, try to find soap/shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant that compliment the perfume; or simply use unscented products.

Wash feet and in-between toes every day; soak feet and use a foot scrub once every 1-2 weeks as needed (particularly in summer); put foot powder in shoes every night to eliminate odor and wetness.

Scrape and brush tongue after brushing and flossing.

I would recommend: Fresh Balls, Bulldog facewash, exfoliator, and moisturizer, Johnson's foot soap, O'Keefe's foot scrub Gold Bond foot powder and a tongue scraper.

Dr. Scholl's Odor Destroyers Deodorant Foot Spray. It keeps my feet from sweating as much, which in turn prevents the wretched hoof stink. This plus no-show socks should help a lot.

Alternately, shoe spray is a thing

Edit: Wow talk about close minded. I've used this stuff in my work boots for 4 years and counting. Eliminates smells and makes my feet not itchy.

There are a few simple things you can do that will help #1. dont put your shoes in a gym bag when your done climbing, leave them where they can breath and dry out faster. #2 I use Lumi shoe spray from time to time, link is below. #3 put them in a bag in your freezer for a day or 2 it will kill most of the bacteria and will help knock the edge off some. #4 if they are super funky toss them in the washer on cold / cold then let them air dry, they will come out smelling like new.

Although this does nothing for finger control, it's amazing for finger strength. Search online for recommended rep/set exercise routines. After using this for a few weeks, I feel that I can stream for longer without failing due to stamina.

A fair warning: If you exercise with this, don't play osu! for around ~12 hours because your fingers will be completely done after using this. It's better to use it before you go to bed.

I like this glove deodorizer I got off amazon, I wipe down the inside of my gloves with the same mixture as you once a week. I usually spray my shoes down with this deodorizer daily. I have a bunch of these mini deodorizers that I put in my gym bag + sneakers on my way home. Haven't had one foul smell emerge from my bag/gear to date so I think I'm doing everything right lol.

ETA: I wash all my clothing (socks, shirts, leggings/shorts)/sports bras with a odor eliminator along with laundry detergent as well.

This works the best for me:

I dont skate barefoot but I did have an unfortunate stink incident with my winter boots. I used this on my feet before wearing them and it seemed to work pretty well.

I use these shoe deodorizer inserts:

And this is the spray:

I also use a powder on my feet / in my shoes in the heat of summer (I live in a super humid, super hot place) so I need all the help I can get. It has helped immensely. I used to have to actually trash shoes because they’d smell so bad, but with this method I can’t even tell I’ve worn them usually. And my closet smells amazing.

I have super sweaty feet that my family can smell across the house. I started using this on my feet and idk how, but it drastically reduced the sweat, so a lot less smell, and gives it a bit of a minty scent. It might help.

Every night after a delivery session I take out my insulated bags from my car and wipe them down with Wet Ones wipes or Purell wipes then I spray some tea tree on my seats and upholstery. Don't leave your bags in the car or trunk. Here's a link to the tea tree spray that I use

Sunlight as mentioned before. I use this stuff and it helps a lot, even spray my feet before going sock-less. Either way the stench is bacterial so you need some sort of antimicrobial treatment.

Thanks /u/yousavvy for the shout-out of climbOn, much appreciated.

Op: for finger strength, you can purchase something like this to help. In the use of climbOn after you're done climbing wash your hands. Pack climbOn Bar into any flappers, rips, or tears and cover. Overnight put a thin layer all over your hand and cover with a sock. It will help you build nice strong healthy hands!

Exercise balls are probably fine to start. You can also get something like this that guitarists and pianists use to strengthen individual fingers. If you want something more interesting that will help more with dexterity (and is a pretty awesome party trick if you get good) you can try Baoding balls

It's not good for you or the shoes to wear them on consecutive days. Get another pair or two or FIVE. WTF?

That said, Kiwi makes a thing called Fresh Force Shoe Freshener - it's the same type of thing they use in bowling alleys, but in a more convenient format.

u/crazeman · 1 pointr/frugalmalefashion

> them in the wash and currently letting them dry. The smell is definitely gone and there's no visible damage.
> Honestly I was planning on throwing them out and now it's like a new pair of shoes. Thanks for the tip!
> Just put an order in for a pair of those socks -- hopefully I'll be able to avoid the problem in the future.

My sperrys were getting pretty smelly so I was trying a bunch of deodorizers. The best one I tried so far is This one from Rocket Pure. The other ones I tried was one from Dr Scholls and the MFA recommended gold bond foot powder.

I had the same issue with my defys. I put them in the washing machine. The sent went away partially. Then I used this:

I use this deodorizing spray called 'Rocket Pure.' It's got strong minty scent to it and works wonders. I don't necessarily have a problem with my boots stinking, but my feet and my barefoot shoes were TERRIBLE, 2-3 sprays to the sole of the shoe or 1-2 per foot completely gets rid of the stinky foot smell for a few days, depending on your perspiration level.

Watching with interest. Medication I’m on (sertraline) has made me generally sweatier, especially my feet. My trainers aren’t tooo bad as I only wear them at the gym and sometimes only wear socks there (for deadlifts/squats I prefer it).

I got some moisturiser absorbing bags you put in shoes after wearing and they help a bit with other footwear.

Like these but I got them in a $2 shop in Singapore when on holiday.

For every day shoes, I buy £4 black flats from Primark and replace regularly. More expensive ones don’t last any longer.

These finger strengtheners are a great gift for musicians (especially guitar and bass players) as they work each finger individually and also double as stress relievers: http://www.amazon.com/Strengthener-Exerciser-Athletes-Musicians-Climbers/dp/B00JVR21FU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450456380&sr=8-3&keywords=finger+strengthener+musicians

I use all natural foot spray just after training. Basically a mix of essential oils that I am now going to make myself . Just get a spray bottle and add which hazel as the base , plus several drops of tea tree and peppermint oil or other anti fungal essential oils
