Recipe I use is from this sight https://www.ilovecooking.ie/features/sourdough-bread-masterclass-with-patrick-ryan/

The only difference is i boil water and then pour 460ml of hot water into a bowl and use 7-10 bags of Butterfly Pea Flower Tea and let it steep for an hour or so till i get the desired color. Don't forget to squeeze out the tea bags. The water needs to be really dark blue. You can go lighter or darker depending on how many bags and how long you steep.

Ordered tea from amazon as I could not find it in any store https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q75IJ0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1

Video of me cutting it so you can hear the crunch on my insta @hotelhealy.

And honestly there's nothing wrong with having multi-use plastic. Just throw it in recycling when you're done with it. We started using plastic for a reason: it's lightweight, durable, and can be made into just about any shape imaginable. The problems start when we just keep throwing it in the trash faster than we can deal with the waste.

Ceramic breaks easily, so it may end up being more of a waste. Metal cutlery is fantastic and is just about the most recyclable thing you can use besides glass. But plastic shouldn't be counted out completely.

If we could just get rid of the goddamn wrappers on everything, that would be GREAT. Forget the plastic shopping bags, THESE are the fucking devil. They're even individually wrapping apple slices now. Individual apple slices. "It's so convenient for my kids," my coworkers tell me.

They can't even be arsed to cut an apple for their kids. They'd rather spend $3.50 on a plastic box full of plastic bags of weird-tasting apple slices.

Fuck it, these people can clean the ocean themselves.

There's nothing that's really going to be a viable substitute. Pepperoni is pork, and so you can't eat that regardless of the cheese, so you're looking at vegetarian substitute for the pepperoni or some kosher beef/poultry/vegetarian substitute with fake cheese (or cheese-less Neapolitan pizza).

If I were you, I'd just stick with cheese pizza and other kosher pizzas. My favorite pizzas don't even have meat in them—there's a whole world of pizzas out there that don't use meat. Try calabrian chilis and Kalamata olives for briny options.

There is a name for that, OMAD (one meal a day) and it's a perfectly viable plan, as long as the total calories for the day are less than his TDEE. And it's highly dependent on his natural tendencies or his ability to adapt, because the early stages of intermittent fasting (an overarching name for periodic eating that encompasses OMAD) can be difficult to manage until your body gets used to it and stops screaming at you to feed it.

I practice a similar strategy, though not as extreme, because I found it fits my life. I don't eat until 11:00 AM, M-F that meal is pretty consistent, 90% of the time it's 7.5 ounces of lean meat (canned, consistent) and about .2 lbs of spinach (I go through a 1 lb clamshell of it every week ) which totals ~245 calories, and then I typically don't eat again until dinner time, and then I consume the rest of my target 1550 calories before bedtime.

If I do snack between lunch and dinner, I try very hard to keep my total pre-dinner calories at 400. I call it the "400 at 4:00" plan and while some would find it incredibly unmanageable, I find that it fits me and my life very well.

Being at 400 calories (usually less) when dinner rolls around means I have a tremendous amount of leeway. If we decide to have fast food, no problem, I don't even have to look for low cal shit (although a good 500 calorie salad from Chick-fil-a has almost completely replaced their sandwich for me) and surprise dinner plans with friends are also no sweat.

What he's doing isn't inherently unhealthy, although it's sustainability is dependent on whether or not it fits him personally.

I feel the "abs are made in the kitchen" mantra does not apply to me.

I've been unable to weight train or exercise meaningfully for 2 months because I'm recovering from a slipped disc in my back. That said, I walk / hike / lightly cycle all of the time — about 3x per week. I weigh about 178 lbs at 5'11. I have decent muscle mass, but plenty of average bodyfat distributed around my upper torso.

Yet... my diet is impeccable, or so I thought. Maybe I'm totally off-base, or it's just not working for me... but I just don't seem to shed body fat. It seems like my body vigorously holds onto it even while my muscles decline.

I essentially intermittently fast. I only eat between the hours of 4—8 PM, typically one large meal with some bits around it. Here is my diet.

  • I eat zero processed food. No grains, no bread. I do eat rice. I've stopped eating potatoes and sweet potatoes (always gives me gas).
  • I purchase only 95% organic ingredients from Whole Foods near my house.
  • I only use organic extra virgin olive oil to cook with, as well as organic ghee. I do not cook with butter.
  • The only spices I use are: salt, pepper, turmeric, chili powder, garlic, minced onions, vindaloo.

  • Every single day I eat a full serving of sauteed organic leafy greens, I rotate between stuff like https://www.amazon.com/365-Everyday-Value-Organic-Spring/dp/B074H57S5G and the Super Greens, or spinach/arugula blends, etc. All I do is cook them with olive oil or ghee for a few minutes.
  • I always additionally cook some bok choy, scallions, or asparagus.
  • I always have about 3 pasture raised chicken eggs, scrambled with salt and pepper.
  • I always have an additional organic grass-fed protein from a great local farmers market. Either ground beef, ground pork, lamb chop, etc. I also sometimes have these frozen patties from Tribali which range from chicken to beef: https://tribalifoods.com/
  • I sprinkle in some organic sesame seeds for texture.
  • Some days I'll cook 1 serving of white rice on the side.

I typically then have a few little snacks around the meal, depends on the day. Sometimes I'll crack open a young coconut and eat the meat. Other times I'll eat those Oven Baked cheese snacks from Trader Joes which are high in protein (https://www.traderjoes.com/fearless-flyer/article/4847). I usually have a few bites of 85% or even 90% dark cacoa/chocolate.

I mean... this is pretty lean, I'd say. I really try to emphasize leafy greens and quality proteins.

But I just don't... have abs. I've been eating like this for at least 3 months. What am I doing wrong?

I've been pondering the same thing. Contemplating buying beans in a microwavable pouch like this.

Talk to your grocery store manager and ask if they will order it for you. You may not be the only one in your area wishing for calabrian peppers.

If that doesn't work, I'm sure you can find them online. I buy mine from the store but they come in a jar and packed in oil so the shelf life is a couple of years. I'm sure amazon would have something.

Edit:

I found the exact jar of peppers that I love and use often:

https://smile.amazon.com/Hot-Chili-Peppers-Crushed-jar/dp/B004ROGVCG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1SN3VOPA4OGHF&keywords=calabrian+chili+peppers&qid=1555517309&s=gateway&sprefix=calabrian+%2Caps%2C191&sr=8-3

If you don't want crushed, the same brand also has them whole:
